Indie bands with a slow-burning successful debut album usually end up peaking with their 2nd album. I can't see alt-J's new one coming close to the opening sales of 'This Is All Yours'. Will be happy enough with top 5. (It won't help that they led this album with probably their most 'experimental' single to date).

I reckon Ariana could nab it after that incredible performance.

nab #2? possibly. there's no way Despacito will be overtaken though, it's still selling and streaming insanely well.

Album chart should see significant rises for Ariana's last 2 Albums, may be in to Top 10?
Wouldn't be surprised to see Oasis with 3 Albums in Top 40 as well. |

I would say both Dangerous Woman & My Everything will make top 10, i havent been HMV for a while, but not sure what the physical stock levels are of Ariana's albums (My Everything i'm guessing a lot lower than Dangerous Woman with it only being a year old) - so my guess would be the sales will be predominantly digital.
Will be interesting to see mids tomorrow and Tuesday for sure! This post has been edited by Karma: 4th June 2017, 09:43 PM |

I would LOVE Yours Truly to return to the top 100 as well. Still my favourite album of hers but they're all incredible

It will be close between OLT and Despacito, I predict OLT will be #2 with brilliant numbers

Estimated sales from the last 24 hours (based on Digital Sales Data estimates and Spotify figures):
'One Last Time' (29.5k) 'Despacito' (15.2k) If Ariana can sustain those kinds of sales all week #1 is possible. |

I think Ariana has a very good chance at being no.1 this week. She's up to no.30 on Spotify and thats just Sundays streams, it could rise further after today.
She's also outselling Despacito by 70% now on itunes, given that the former shifted nearly 60k of downloads last week, if it sustains those levels I think it could well sell 100k of downloads, with streaming added it could push it ahead. I really hope she does manage to get there, absolutely amazing and beautiful concert that she put together. |

I calculate Ariana is selling 200% more than Despacito, meaning if that sold 50-60k last week then Ariana is on for 150-180k this week at current levels. Clearly that uplift hasn't/won't apply for the whole week, but even with a huge tail off it should probably sell at least 100k minimum, which with added streams, putting it in with a real shot of #1 overall. Yeah but remember Despacito was way ahead over Friday and Saturdays sales..So this will need to be made up too.
There's a slim chance but I'm not very hopeful Despacito's streaming is insane, although Ariana could potentially get HUGE streaming numbers today/Tomorrow?! This post has been edited by Mr. C. Joel: 5th June 2017, 01:09 PM |

Hopefully Ariana can do it, but unfortunately streaming is what will most likely prevent it happening. I would hope a lot of people will continue purchasing the song and she will have very high "actual" sales. If she can keep improving on streaming her sales advantage may help it get there.

I looked in my local HMV today and Ari's Dangerous Woman section was nearly empty! There was also only one of YT and ME but they probably didn't have much stock in the first place.

As Ari has Hot Hits uk on her side I'd imagine she'll zoom into the top 10 on Spotify tomotrow
