Just finished watching season 2 of this and I have to say (although I thought season 1 was good) this was a real step up from the first season and the show is really finding its feet.
Apparently it has been renewed for a further season too. Anyone else been watching this at all? I'm surprised tha I couldn't find a thread on it. Just realised this might belong in International TV. Feel free to move if required This post has been edited by Severin: 6th May 2016, 05:30 PM |

Yes! I've just finished season 1 and watched the first few episodes of season 2. Ragnar is such a badass.

Season 1 is really just the show finding its feet. Season 2 is a big leap forward and by Season 3 you're looking at one of the best historical dramas on tv

Watched up to Season 4 episode.. 3? By now I think, I'm yet to be disappointed. I'm guessing there's more to come in regards to what you said.

Yeah I think you're not quite there yet. His whole body language changes from what he's been in previous seasons. He takes on a Shakespearean feel too with the story

I've just finished season 2 and my god this show is a great load of fun I gasped with joy at the twist ending there, I'd been worried we were losing Floki. I don't watch enough historical dramas but this is set in possibly my favourite period of history (precisely because it's so mysterious and legendary) so all the Viking intrigue is matched by my interest in hearing political intrigue over Wessex, Mercia and Northumbria.
It helps that the characters have so much of a sense of 'other' about them, it's a compelling world because it's so different. |

Another one of the great things about is that it's one of very few shows where the gender roles are pretty even. Almost all of the females characters are strong and independent. Often as powerful as the men
