I’m actually gutted to be honest. He’d better do a good job of the next series.

Yeah I checked reddit and there eas a thread from yesterday saying it was nonsense, that they were filming on the day he supposedly left, and that the "source" was one youtuber.

Those rumours were never gonna be real but I wouldn’t necessarily be shocked if Chibnall went at the end of Series 12 (or shocked if he stayed). It’s kind of strange that there’s heavy rumours of lots of returnees for Series 12 when Series 11 really tried to stay away from that. Whether that was the intention of Chibnall or whether he’s being pushed into a direction by execs that he doesn’t want to be in, who knows.
I’m looking for at least one of the companions to depart halfway through the next series. Now we have multiple companions, who aren’t as intrinsically linked as say Amy & Rory, it’ll be nice to mix it up and have that shock factor of a companion not leaving at the end of the series. It would be nice to have a new companion too (once at least one has left) with some actual personality. Whilst Yaz/Ryan/Graham aren’t the worst, I find them pretty inoffensive and they really pale in comparison to nearly all of the other companions. There’s nothing really exciting about them at the moment. |

Get rid of ALL THREE companions tbh
Yaz has the most potential tbh, as did Grace oops, but Bradley Walsh HAS TO GO |

ugh so Chibnall is staying then. not too excited for the next series at this stage.
unrelated, but this has to be the most iconic 47 seconds of Doctor Who of the past year "and I hope the planet turns around... and SHITS on you" !! Dr Who Poop just did a remix of it too *_ |

‘i hope the planet turns round and shits on you’ was my favourite quote from ‘Rose’, I’m glad he’s referencing the show again <3

Get rid of ALL THREE companions tbh Yaz has the most potential tbh, as did Grace oops, but Bradley Walsh HAS TO GO I thought Bradley Walsh was easily the best conpanion! Should've just been him and the Doctor. Ryan was the most unnecessary - I couldn't give a damn about his father when they're in a life or death situation! |

Ryan's the one I'd definitely have removed from series 11 - I'd have loved for Yaz to have a lot more character development in place of most of Ryan's storyline. Yaz and Graham together with the Doctor would've been just fine, if not just either one of them.
I'm going into series 12 pretty open-minded. I'm hoping Chibnall has learned the error of his ways from series 11, and it already looks like he's trying to go for a more RTD vibe with this series - bringing back old monsters that haven't been seen in a while, etc. I just hope he manages to nail it or I think it'll be the final nail in the coffin for him. |

Some people are saying it’s for a full episode reshoot which is... concerning and makes the Chibnall rumours more interesting. But then it may just be the same people trying to stir stuff up unnecessarily

He needs to go and take his companions with him. That last season was so so boring

Those rumours about Chibnall had me really excited just now goddammit :'( My only real hope for the season is for him to grow a pair and axe one of the characters as as an overcrowded Tardis was clearly the big problem last time, I don't care which one honestly, none of the three have made a strong enough impression (Graham is probably my favourite, something I never thought I'd say when I saw the casting). Just because it's a pre-watershed show doesn't mean it can't have a very dark moment like that once in a while, previous seasons have shown that. Chibnall just doesn't seem to be very good at this though and I worry that the improved ratings in general last season may just get him to do more of the same :/

I 1000% agree that killing off one of the main lot would be a very wise move, he’s proven with last season that 3 companions is too much for him to handle, with S11 having the most underdeveloped companions like... ever. I’m prepared to give Chibnall a chance this season, and all these classic villains returning gives me hope, but if it’s more of the same and he makes the same mistakes again and we get another completely dissapointing season, he gotta go and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see me skip S13

The ratings were for Jodie. They were collapsing with each atrocious / boring episode. I hated Capaldi as doctor and his seasons were hot garbage, but the last one was faaar more exciting than this one. Compare World and Times Apart with the pting or universe frog where the enemy was an amazon speaker! The fan reviews wers savage and it's got the worst imdb etc ratins of any doc who ever.

It's coming! Hopefully we'll get a trailer soon Also, a 'source' has said to The Mirror "This new run is much scarier than Jodie’s first year and will definitely put the frighteners on fans. Things are about to get darker for the Doctor.” |
