I can't believe there isn't already a thread for this! I just got an Amazon Prime trial and started watching this, I'm on episode 3. I love it, you can really tell Bryan Fuller is involved, even if it's a lot darker than Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me. It's really weird but it's addictive, I wish there were more than 8 episodes
Also is that the same Ricky Whittle that was on Strictly a few years ago? |

I'm always amazed at what shows get ignored on here when there's pages for others that aren't half as good
And It's the guy who was in Hollyoaks so probably. And yes it is very good. Very funny and a feast for the eyes but not quite as clever as it thinks it is - Mr Wednesday's identity is supposed to be enigmatic but most people should know where the day gets its name from - and occasionally style prevades over content but well worth watching. |

I just started the book, I've only read the first 2 chapters which only really covers the first episode. Dying to get to the part after the season finale

I watched about 3 episodes before I gave up because I just couldn't get a grip on the concept or plot.

I watched about 3 episodes before I gave up because I just couldn't get a grip on the concept or plot. Put simply, gods only exist if mankind worships them and the old gods (eg Loki, Thor) are being replaced by new ones like technology and media. So they start to fight back. Guy gets released from prison and is befriended by a mysterious, wise old man. Slowly he sees the world in a new light and is drawn into their battle. It's definitely worth persevering with |

Maybe I need to brush up on mythology before watching it again. I used to read a lot of that stuff.
How rude. I should have said Thank You first! This post has been edited by Baytree: Aug 18 2017, 02:37 PM |
