Tonight's duff was hilarious! I hope this is the start of a massive revenge storyline for Abi. Surely the pregnancy can't be real? It's too convenient. This has Aunt Babe written all over it.
Clue: Eastenders is a british soap. Do you know that Bebo was apparently going to make an online soap featuring Razorlight. What was their biggest hit?
February trailer! Hope we get one each month.
Can't believe it but Diane Parish has been playing Denise for almost 10 years now! Impressive for anyone but particularly for someone as generally underrated as she is.
omg Abi is killing me, first with the neck brace, then Babe thinking she was gay and now the 'baby mitchell on board' top I was expecting her to propose to him tbh, surely she knows she can't keep up that charade for long, Kirsty tried that one with Max did she not? At this rate their break up will be a Christmas storyline :')
Omg that t-shirt! Already iconic. *.*
Random: This Digital Spy forum topic title amused me - "EE: Four Months After Her Return From The Dead & Already Kaff's Selling Bananas".
Just caught up - love that ending! Ic-on-ic.
HOWLING at literally any Abi moment and that duff duff was just amazing. It must be a fake pregnancy, as has been said, it's just too convenient. I suppose there could be a different father but if so, why was Abi falling to pieces over Ben not wanting her? I will get my popcorn at the ready.
Ikonek Abbey!!
:woot:
I remember when I was the only one defending her on here when all y'all hated ha too
I have never hated Abi tho.
ABI *.* I'm still laughing at her 20 a day smoker's voice.
I miss Shabs and Jade so much tho.
Surely everyone stanning Abi is ironic? Why would anyone be actual fan?
So who, if anyone, will actually get Abi up the duff? Or will Babe just steal her a baby?
Jordan.
Johnny will be played by Ted Reilly:
http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/eastenders-johnny-carter-returns-new-7381228
"Hunky" lol good one Mirror....
Maybe he'll look better on screen, there aren't many pics after a quick google.
^And how was Johnny remotely a "controversial character"?
Hunky isn't the right word at all lol but I definitely approve x
Looks alright to me, excited for Johnny to return
http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/eastenders/news/a783676/watch-out-walford-eastenders-star-lorna-fitzgerad-wants-abi-branning-to-be-more-like-janine/
omg imagine
omg Lorna f*** off already. Janine is one of the best soap characters EVER. Most people want you gone.
I actually want a storyline where Abi readily admits she wants to be the next Janine to anyone and everyone who will listen (probably just Babe then) and promptly go round the Square deliberately bring horrible to everyone by sneering and calling them childish names and every now and then pushing coasters off the tables in the Vic, cafe, Beales and the Albert.
Omg Tracey wtf?!
Stanning for Tracey's newfound lesbianism.
Tina though !!!!!!!!!!
*.* at Tracy and mention of Ethel's little Willy.
I do believe that Tina needs to be drunk before she can relax around Sonia, surely everyone does?
And where are they going with Gavin? He feels like a flop villain, Babe was clearly more menacing tonight.
And I hope that isn't the end of Christine. I much prefer her to Les.
Sonia looking at BBC Three on her laptop too...! Nice promo for the channel, which moved online today
Wonder if she'll catch the Eastenders repeat?
BABE I just adore her. She's always lurking, always up to something shady
You have to feel quite sorry for Babe really, no matter what she does It's the crushed look on her face, like when Les said "i doubt you've ever experienced real love"
Abi doing a Zoe Slater then with the fake pregnancy.
You can't blame Babe for being a bit f***ed up really. Her mother couldn't even be bothered to give her a name ffs
Showrunner Domic-Treadwell Collins is leaving his role with Archers Sean O'Connor taking over as Showrunner
http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/eastenders/news/a783888/eastenders-shocker-dominic-treadwell-collins-is-leaving-as-showrunner/
Gah nooooo, he's worked WONDERS for the show, I really hope the high quality can be kept up.
Oh that is a shame! He's done some fantastic work for the show. Hopefully his replacement keeps it up!
~
Johnny's return is being hyped up:
"Johnny Carter's return will be MASSIVE for soap say show bosses.
EastEnders bosses have promised there is 'so much in store' for Johnny Carter.
The character is returning to Albert Square - with Ted Reilly recast in the role - after taking time out to go travelling and show chief Dominic Treadwell-Collins has promised he will be in the thick of the action with the Carter family's next big storyline.
Executive producer Dominic said: "Johnny is a key member of the Carter family and he's been missing over the past year and a half, when so much has happened to the Carters.
"As the family embark on their next big storyline to take them through 2016, it felt wrong not to have Johnny back to play a big part in that - and learn everything that has happened while he has been away.
"We have so much in store for Johnny and so many stories to tell. After massive casting sessions and recalls with Danny [Dyer] and Kellie [Bright], we have found in Ted not only a brilliant actor, but the perfect Johnny Carter."
http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/eastenders-spoilers-johnny-carters-return-7388912
That's awful news about DTC, he was fantastic for the show and it's been on real top form for pretty much all of his run!
It's time for DTC to go though. He's done some amazing things including getting me to watch again after I'd given up in early '13 but it's hard to keep up the quality for a long period of time and some recent developments have been awfully WTF?
I was surprised to hear this as I thought he'd be kept as Exc. Producer longer than the usual 2-3 years. Still, his last episode probably won't air until 2017. He has done wonders for the show and I'm glad I was old enough to appreciate it after being still to young for the Diederick Santer era, but it probably is time for him to go after Kathy's return was less of the gripping TV we were promised.
At least we're off to a promising start with Sean O'Connor taking over the role - producer/editor for The Archers and Series Story Producer for Eastenders for both the Kat/Zoe and Little Mo/Trevor storylines back in the early 00s!
It's clear he's stepped down because he can no longer write for Shabnam tbh.
The new guy needs to offer Rakhee June Browns contract.
Honestly 2015 was kind of a disaster after the anniversary so it's a welcome turn of events.
It was pretty clear so much had gone into 2014 and the build up to the lives a year ago but then also clear that he hadn't really thought about where to go from there. We had some good stuff last year but it wasn't anywhere near as good as the previous year.
Who will get axed do you reckon?
Tina and Sonia scream axe tbh. DTC did a good job of getting rid of the deadwood when he took over so hopefully the same will happen this time round.
DTC did a great job bringing the show back from the brink of collapse, but it's clear he's running out of ideas and the past year has been very up and down in terms of quality. I think a new person is just what the show needs right now. Apparently Sean O'Connor has done a great job with The Archers and has responsible for some brilliant storylines in the golden era of Eastenders, so I'm optimistic.
Ugh why are the exciting things happening off-screen?
I hope they haven't killed off Arthur that would be horrible.
If Babe hurts Pam I am done
Anyone else getting Tosh vibes about the way Tina is acting towards Sonia? I wonder if they'd go down that route...
I am willing Abi to get pregnant. Preferably by Phil.
Babe is gonna blackmail Les into giving Abi sperm. Bookmark me.
But will Babe's baby snatching/selling past come into it at all?
Then Ben will suspect her of cheating and leave her when the baby girl comes out looking like Ruth Langsford.
Sonia is a classic like Ian Beale.
She's not goin anywhere! She will still be around forgetting her nursing training - which side!! This dress is clearly big enough to give birth in!!"
I f***ing hate Sonia.
Domic-Treadwell Collins departure is a huge surprise, i expected him to hold onto his position much longer. That said,i am not disappointed, he has done some great work but i feel the show has had better executive producers and also much worse.
I think the new producer needs to lighten the mood a little bit. EastEnders has always had an overhyped myth of been very depressing which in large i dis-agree with. That said, i have found a lot of Dominics work dark.
Eastenders has always been miserable as f***. that's its thing.
Let Corrie do the 'comedy'
Have people already forgotten the disaster of Lorraine Newman's "Love and Warmth" Eastenders in 2013? I hope we never go back there again. Eastenders is at its best when it tackles dark and gritty storylines.
The new producer needs to throw thousands at Nina and Rahkee and make the Masoods the Carters of 2017.
I'd be surprised if the Masoods last much longer. Zainab will need to return pronto if they are to remain relevant.
THAT LAWYERS HAIR THO WHAT THE f***
Where was Sia?
Ffs I was expecting a Grant return, not Sia's "assistant" with that thing on her head.
Still, a nice nod to Angie/Den and divorce paper-gate for the 31st anniversary.
I'm surprised no-one was AGOG at the close-up to Martin's belly?
i was dw
Sia??
that shower scene*.*
Liam please say you saw tonights episode.
Dot.
stacey just got straight to the point with that letter didn't she
Ready for Rebecca to ascend to the A list.
ACTUAL SHIRTLESS MARTIN *.*
All tonight needed was Rebecca to burst into one of her iconic songs.
And Martin naked on drums.
Kim tonight !!!!!!!!!!!
Has Martin left for good?!
Claudette totally killed her husband.
Maybe Vincent and Shazza are brother and sister You know how much DTC loves his parentage storylines.
Kim on the bouncy castle *.*
The nurse that kept pestering Stacey is like a mix of Donna and Tina.
Also, you know in cartoons when characters blow their thump to inflate their chest? That's what Claudette reminds me of.
Kim was on top form tonight; even her giggle just makes me want to laugh. The bouncy castle scene needs to be Best Spectacular Scene at the BSA this year.
Amazing!
What's this? A big set of episodes being shown outside of the Christmas period? http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/eastenders/news/a784683/hubbard-hell-eastenders-will-put-claudette-and-co-in-deadly-danger-on-mothers-day/
Abi gets a baby Carter
That pairing of Abi and Babe is a master stroke.
Totes almost jumped out of my skin when Lee and Whitney were in the car and then Sonia's face jumped into sight in the window tho.
You know who they should bring back? Shabnam
Jay and Linzi planning a holiday after like one week of being together tho
Also I know I'm the only one and people will retaliate with insistence of how "funny" she is, but Kim really getting on my tits Not funny at all. Drunk Abi tho *.* Unintentional icon.
Drunk Abi was hilarious. I wonder if Abi will actually get pregnant or not? I hope not, but with DTC still overseeing things it probably will happen.
Also loling at Jay and Linzi planning a holiday after a week together! WTF?!
Ready for Claudette to become the new Pat. Queen*.*
Claudette needs to move up a gear as since she joined she to me is a neither here nor there type of character. I strongly feel she has not made a mark on the show at all since she joined.
Every time Claudette begins to become interesting, like in the aftermath of Fatboy's death, she goes off screen for a few weeks.
I just keep thinking 'G' might not be Gavin, but actually Glenda! I wouldn't put it past her to start extorting money from Claudette and she clearly knows something from the past after her little NYD appearance.
We need Glenda back to slay tbh.
Daniella Westbrook is confirmed to come back as Sam Mitchell for Peggy's goodbye.
Looks like Claudette will literally be slaying on Mothers Day.
aunt babe>>>>
I'd have given anything to see Bobby fly in and cave Nancy's head in with a golf club tonight.
I wish Abi would get pregnant.
Nancy was amazing though. everything she said was 100% true.
Yeah but she just reacts the same in every storyline and her voice grates.
Nancy and Aunt Babe queen of the Carters *.* Linda and Shirley who?
It's Whitney i really can't stand. She saw she was screwed and as usual played the victim card to get sympathy.
Let's be real here, the only Carter that matters is Johnny and he hasn't returned to the square yet.
All the Carters are amazing tho. They just need a break.
I want the Beales to have a proper story line again, that doesn't involve Bobby or the Lucy killing but Jane got ruined in the Lucy killing story line and she was one of my favorite characters.
Donna needs to ascend to the A list.
Donna is so underused but so amazing.
I really want Donna, Pam and Rebecca to have a somewhat big storyline. The Christine thing does not count
Rebecca gets far too much screen time as it is.
15 years to the day since the 'Who Shot Phil Mitchell' storyline.
So Claudette was obviously a prostitute and she'll kill Gavin and bury him in the granny flat?
Well Donna was pretty much channelling me in her advice to Nancy. But ffs with that ending. Nancy would have to have informed any future employer about her epilepsy anyway for health and safety reasons.
I don't know what was more funny. Drunk Phil sitting there with a crown on or Pam yelling 'anyone for fairy cakes?'
I have a feeling that Gavin won't actually die and it will be someone else. Although I wish Gavin would die, he's been a total flop.
I forgot about Jack and Sharon being an item! Ready for Shazza to get her claws out.
Unless no-one dies and I've just gone off the similarities with the Corrie storyline? If not Gavin, I can't see any of the characters involved getting killed off.
Eek at Jane's face when Linda mentioned the idea of her kids killing each other.
And I was HOWLING at Kim yet again. 'Pearl's like me, she very particular about what she puts in her mouth'
Kim's reactions during Donna announcing she wants a baby was brilliant!
That was a good one-liner as much as I'm not a Kim fan.
I hope Donna's baby storyline progresses, it would be brilliant to see more of her.
There's a brief return for a character that even I didn't recognise: Lorna Cartwright (played by Janet Dibley). She appeared in 97/98 "as a catalyst to break up the marriage of the characters Phil and Kathy Mitchell" according to Wikipedia.
I sincerely hope Gavin is dead. Not only was his last line before Claudette struck him an amazing last line for any character but I can't really see where we go from here. Where is it Gavin is supposed to be going? Probably still a red herring though.
Thank god they didn't show us any Claudette and Gavin 'bedroom action'...
Omg Claudette slaying everything and everyone last night *.*
Wow, really tense episode tonight! Pleased there was that little twist and Gavin wasn't actually dead, mainly so that it's not a complete rip off of Corrie and so that it gives reason for Gavin to actually be a good villain. I was expecting someone to die tonight, either for Claudette to kill her own son and bury him to keep her secret (welcome back gritty, controversial EE!) or for Jordan to kill Denise (which cannot happen!), but I hadn't actually anticipated Vincent to kill Claudette despite him having reason to after finding out she killed his dad.
I'll take Vincent dying but if it's Claudette I am done
If there's a death, it will happen on Friday I think. Gavin and Claudette have been red herrings.
Was I the only one distracted by Claudette's cleavage tonight?
Put it this way, I wouldn't be able to tell you the colour of her eyes.
When aren't we distracted by Claudette's cleavage? I am just glad she owns a bra otherwise she would be dropping through floors like an 808
Claudette's cleavage has pretty much stole the show. It's hard to see anything else when they're on screen!
Omg i couldn't help but stare at her tits tonight.
Who are we thinking that will die this week? I'm expecting a massive shock.
Might be a surprise death of Patrick being shoved by Vincent? Or baby Ollie from brain damage, the Carters are getting news next week that will change the family forever.
It doesn't sound like Ollie will die from the head injury, plus I can't see any soap having the guts to kill off a baby outside of natural causes.
Loving Claudette camp villain cant go wrong she's brill I was watching last night and when Vincent glared I though oh oh he gonna try kill his mother and could just see it specially when she mentioned she sent fatboy to his death.
If going to be a death I reckon it be Lucas related, possibly Libby she suddenly come back as a suprise out of nowhere, has the note and now dashed off to rescue mum rather than phone prison or police like the smart girl she is meant to be, or possibly Jordan caught up and killed by Lucas leaving Denise to bring up JJ either way this week has been brilliant and really starting to showcase Claudette who could become an EE legend if done right
Libby's back and someone's gonna die??
Can somebody actually explain the Claudette/Eric/Gavin/Vince's dad mess? I'm still confused
Claudette was obviously married to Vincent's dad Henry, but it's implied she had a thing with Eric or she at least wanted it. Gavin was a friend of Henry's, as well Den Watts, and Claudette was (well, from the heavy hints) a prostitute at the time and I assume that Gavin has that on her, that's why he's blackmailing her and she doesn't want that to get out so as she couldn't get the money she thought she'd silence Gavin another way.
As for her killing Henry, I'm not sure quite how that came about but I assume they'll explain that further tonight. I'm sure it won't be the "accident" Claudette claimed it was. To get out of it with Vincent she might claim he was abusive or something and it was self defence and she was embarrassed to tell him, as far fetched as that sounds?
When I watched Tuesday's episode I kept thinking "I wonder what is going on in Richard Blackwood's head when he looks at Claudette with her boobs almost popping out".
Yassss claudette f*** everyone up with your bowling ball boobs*
OMG NO
Why no why?! Why they kill HER off.
OMG did not see that coming, I really thought it was going to be Gavin
Burying someone under the floor is very Corrie.
I like to know how they are going to explain Claudette is gone.
Lmao at Kim singing "ding dong the witch is dead"
That twist!!! Omg
She's alive Who the fook is buried under the floorboards
I CAN'T DEAL WITH THESE EMOTIONS!!
YES OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a silly way to explain it away I know they were under pressure but they all know she wouldn't have left without telling Donna and Donna could easilt check where she went
CAN PEOPLE NOT STAY DEAD ON EASTENDERS?
!!!!!!!!!! omg this is such a rollercoaster
SCREAMING
I couldn't lose another fave so soon afer Shabnam, Claudette is incredible.
YASSSS QUEEN DEFY ALL LOGIC AND RUSSURECT LIKE JESUS
I did not see that twist coming So pleased they managed to avoid another murder cover up!
I'm very happy though as we'll get to see more of Claudette's boobs out acting the entire Square!!!!
Great week, could have done without the Ronnie/Jack stuff and a bit more Lucas/Jordan/Denise but great overall
I just hope Jack and Ronnie can just sty together, they are a good couple and she's really had enough misery... I think they will, for the time being, Jack being on the show still will be completely pointless otherwise. I could tell that Jack and Delphine were only friends from the chemistry and the way they interacted, it was so obvious she'd be crashing some random dude's wedding not Jack
I know we all joke but claudette does have an amazing figure for her age.My dad hates eastenders but he was glued to screen for both episodes.
THAT TWIST WAS AMAZING. I was weeping for Claudette...then I was weeping tears of joy when she came back to life
Did not see that coming! Loved the twist and can't wait to see Claudette's return.
Ronnie's storyline was very Miranda there. I was expecting them to take over the wedding and gallop away back to Walford
The builder did say something about it looking like a dog had been at it, maybe Vincent left the floorboards loose and she escaped or something It does really odd and implausible though.
Just watched the double late as I've been busy. So much going on! I was pretty disappointed in the decision to kill off Claudette so soon. Foster kid only just introduced, Donna barely having development, hints from Glendal and Sal about her but nothing came of them and no scenes with Peggy, I was pretty distraught. Also no more on her relationship with Christine. But of course that last minute flew at me and what a twist! It will be interesting to see where they take this.
Wow! What a swerve at the end
Also can someone explain to me because I don't watch EastEnders regularly anymore but how is Donna Claudette's daughter when she is fully white?
Foster daughter
Ready for claudette to become the new shirley and dominate .
Eh so who's dead?
Everyone may as well be because claudette just made theall irrelevant.
I hope Claudette eventually murders someone with her boobs.
I wouldn't be surprised if those boobs saved her life by cushioning her fall
Maddy Hill and Himesh Patel are both leaving Eastenders
omg nooooo
(although I'm glad they're leaving together because that means a happy ending)
Nooooooooo Awful news.
What is it with originally shit characters leaving when they become good? (In regards to Tamwar - Nancy has been doing my head in as time goes on).
I was anticipating an exit for Nancy though.
Well, I'm in the minority because I can't stand Nancy and hope she gets brutally murdered tbh. Tamwar I will miss but he just hasn't been utilised properly for years. I'm surprised it's taken this long for him to quit. The Masoods are surely over now.
I hadn't thought about the Masoods being basically over. Surely Masood won't stay by himself? Would he work without any family members?.
throw millions at Nina Wadia
I'm really excited about the direction Eastenders is going in following last week's big week! I was worried they'd abandon the Vincent-Claudette-Patrick storyline straight away and pick up in a few months time which would have just destroyed any momentum last week built, so I'm glad they're riding it out. Plus Gavin looks like he has the chance to be a convincing villain.
For some reason Roxy popped into my head as to who is stalking Ronnie but I don't see why. Perhaps it's someone following orders from Dean? (as I'm still not convinced we've seen the last of him despite him apparently gone from the show).
Roxy popped into my head too until I saw the wreath. It's probably Joel's brother but it could be his daughter too. Charlie would be interesting too but mainly because it could lead to Yvonne returning to pop the kettle on.
Also, was wondering whether we'd see Margaret again. I think she's brilliant.
Margaret! She's really brilliant - I won't forget that scene where she had a rant about Walford ending in "what a dump" She's a far more convincing villain than Gavin, but we'll see what happens.
My guesses for Ronnie's stalker are Charlie, Hannah (Joel's daughter) or Danny Mitchell.
Margaret sounds like her false teeth are about to pop out everytime she opens her mouth.
Tbh, can EE please make Nancy and Tamwar get married and then have a massive wedding and then both leave on a motorbike (similar to when Afia left Tamwar)
I'd rather the former got raked to death ala Trina tbh.
Loved Claudette's mini appearance.
I loved Sharon being back behind the Vic bar. Linda, give her a job please!
Omg Claudette is back in the next episode! http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03lst6g I'm not used to Eastenders not prolonging things over the course of several months!
Really intense start to the episode, it was clear Ollie wasn't going to die but seeing the way Linda and co reacted was heartbreaking.
Omg that looks amazing. Claudette has clearly won 2016 already. Even an ikonec Abi moment can't change that now.
Donna>>>>>>>>>everyone tbh
Claudette just finished me. was she behind the door when kim left? She literally appeared the very next second.
Why did the police take statements from Nancy and Lee whilst they were in the same room? Surely that's not allowed?
"It's amazing the trouble seven inches can get you into" OH MY GOD
It didn't clock onto that comment !!! Genius line from Tamwar!
That was so funny! :') Especially after the series of innuendos Kim was dropping to the two builders in the scene immediately before.
Kinky Eastenders.
Surely Kush would be bigger.
ALSO can we keep Andy?
Brb currently DYING: Eastenders fans thought Mick had his willy out!
trust me if that was true you would be attending my funeral next week.
Shirley's expression tho
You can clearly see stripes.
I'm so glad James Bye/Martin is sticking around
ooh... the transgender never saw that coming
Everyone and their dog knew that was coming.
Rebecca needs a proper storyline of her own.
Iv'e been saying for months that she needs to be on the A List.
I'm surprised at how well EastEnders handled Kyle's storyline tonight! It was all so nicely done, they've really upped their game this month *.*
It was a really touching scene; you could tell that the actor really believed in the words he was saying having gone through this experience, but I was still wanting more. I suppose it will be an on-going storyline and more will be revealed on what it means to be transgender, but I want to hear about what's happening psychologically and why it's not as simple as remaining the same sex but just being different to the conventional characteristics of said sex, if that makes sense?
Kush though.
aunt babe>>>
aunt babe looked like she wanted to shag mick last night
The upcoming spoilers for Aunt Babe!! She's fast becoming my favourite.
Denise Welch is joining Eastenders for a short stint and will be playing Alison, Kyle's mum. I loved her as Steph in Waterloo Road so I hope for more of the same!
That's a surprising casting! She was brilliant as Steph in Waterloo Road, so hopefully she'll be good in Eastenders too.
She was amazing as Steph in Waterloo Road, she will be brilliant in Eastenders.
I love Denise, I just wish it was a more permanent role.
I'm still waiting for Babe to get involved with Les and Pam
Linzi looks about 14 and has sent Jay "images"...can see where this is heading.
Yeah I'm pretty sure she's younger than she's letting on, I read a comment somewhere saying that she never drinks when she's in the pub with Jay (and Ben and Abi when they are around), but as soon as Jay got those cans out in the car lot she was desperate to have one! Worth mentioning she's 18 in real-life and actors usually play characters at least a couple years younger - especially at that age, see also Harry Reid being 23 playing Ben who has just turned 20 or 21 I can't remember.
Off topic but I love the fact that she was in Tracy Beaker Returns which I watched a few years ago!
I hadn't considered it before but, after having a snoop on DS forums, it seemed like a plausible theory and tonight just made me pick up on things that would support that. Also, if assumptions are true that she'll be killed off during Phil's rampage tomorrow, she's not going to be able to defend Jay when it gets out she was under-age and he has photos of her on his phone.
I thought that when she mentioned "images"! It would definitely fit given it's his big storyline, that's quite a big thing to tackle compared to the usual being arrested, affair, pregnancy or whatever. Might be a red herring but we of course all know by now to be on high alert when Eastenders drops a little hint in the script
That scene between Louise and Ben was so awkward. The acting was so bad! I guess it doesn't help that they are both recasts.
Oh I didn't mind that bit, it was Ben's strop that had me cringing.
kush did things to me.
i f***ing wish
Also, what did Jade do to Kamil? Did she batter him or something?
Ben attempting to kill his father roughly four years after he killed Hev tho....
I miss heather. she gave shirley another layer that i think has been missing since she died.
That gave me 2004 fairground disaster tees i.e. utter mess.
This was one of the best episodes in ages!
Loved Abi burning Babe 'and which one of your long term relationships did you get that from?'
There was ANOTHER Fairground Disaster??
When will they learn to STOP having cheap fairs on Albert Square!!
Michael, you either need to start watching the show or start reading the posts properly. Please choose at least one option.
I hope Ross Kemp (Grant Mitchell) doesn't stay permanently on EastEnders, Grant was my favourite character back in the day but Ross Kemp's real life documentaries are WAY better and that's what I associate him more with now. He should stick to the sky 1 documentaries imo.
Grant is back now??
I can't watch it reet now T Boy!!
Babe is just above everyone else in the game.
just bring zainab and shabs back.
I really hope Kush goes soon, he's basically been ruined just like Charlie was for me a couple of years ago and I'm really bored of him now
Shabnam has left a massive hole in the Masood/Kazemi dynamic. Also I don't feel, despite her mental health issues, Stacey has really paid for what she did to her best friend.
Saint Stacey has got off scot free and is now even getting engaged!! Yet everyone hates Kush because apparently it was all his fault...
I wish we'd actually had the chance to see Ollie as he was before the accident. It would make all this 'ma baby's changed!!!1!1!1' stuff a lot less annoying.
According to this blog site: http://thewalfordeastblog.blogspot.ca/2016/03/eastenders-spring-spoilers.html Glenda will be coming back! Woo!
I saw that too! Was kind of a given but great to see it confirmed.
Can Glenda stay? We need an absolute bitch.
EastEnders does need a good strong "Bitch" character. Glenda could fill those roll full time perfectly.
Or Janine can return. She can actually act.
Agreed. That comment to Heather...
It's been too long since we had a Rebecca gig tbh.
I quite liked Kathy and Buster together. If the writers are going to insist on rehashing Shirley and Phil then I could see the other two working. Kathy needs a nice bloke and Buster needs a life outside of Shirley.
"I wanted her to die" Geez, nice one Honey.
Glenda vs. the square is one of my faves. Whenever I watch that scene, I need to put her comment to Heather on repeat; never fails to make me laugh! :')
Shirley and Phil seem to work better together than Sharon and him so I can back them two getting back together.
Shirley will forever be my ultimate fave. Linda just kills everything thrown at her.
Honey telling Janet to f*** off to another table, then the "I wanted her to die" comment...um...I get where they were going with it but it just didn't really work
Glenda is sooo bad at acting.
British Soap Awards 2016 montage for Eastenders uploaded:
Wait for the end!
I was hoping the last bit would be Abi asking Ben if he's ready for his MOT #ikonec
Fantastic montage. Been a really good year upon reflection.
I'm really going to miss Nancy. Bad writing may have ruined her these last few weeks but She is such a good character.
I can't remember anything Nancy has done though besides tell everyone what they should be doing/how they should be whilst having no actual life of her own or have the occasional epileptic fit. These last few weeks have been the most development she's had in over 2 years in the show.
Mick is pissing me off to no end. Can't stand the way he's been talking to the doctors. Don't hospital workers get enough flak without being portrayed as useless in a soap?
It's just so hypocritical how he's punishing Nancy for an accident when he treats Lee and Whitney like God's gift. Whitney kissed Mick and no one cared after one episode apart from Nancy, Ryan stole from The Vic and no one cared apart from Nancy, Lee stole Nancy's job and revealed her personal medical situation behind her back and he got given a car as a reward. I'm surprised Nancy is still hanging around there when she gets treated like a piece of dirt.
I don't agree with Mick's treatment of her but the accident was Nancy's fault. She's supposed to be in her 20s but she was acting like a baby for weeks on end over this job business. Firstly, if she didn't mention her medical condition in her own interview then more fool her, secondly seeing how that Thelma is like, the condition probably had no bearing on the decision. It was probably more likely Lee got the job because he's a man but they haven't explored that issue at all. The Carters as a whole, I find tiring now. I only really like Babe atm.
I am shell shocked Linda Carter is not on the list of nominations for EastEnders as best actress in this years soap awards. EE obviously want Lacey to get back on her winning streak.
Tbf I think the three nominations for best actress were all worthy, Lacey and Rakhee both had prominent storylines and were amazing in them, and Diana needs all the recognition she can get because she is still too underrated. It's the best actor noms I have more of a problem with - Danny Dyer getting nominated solely for his name and both James and Davood have had some notable stick for their acting (I personally don't think they're that bad and I thought both were good in their respective main storylines). In an ideal world, the actors who play Phil and Patrick would have been recognised.
I just groaned when I saw Danny Dyer because we all know he'll win it regardless. It's really tedious that he gets nominated for basically nothing. I think James is good enough but not worthy of being nominated for a best actor award. Davood is just meh really.
The actress nominees are perfect, I'm very pleased Kellie wasn't nominated again. I mean she IS good but I have had enough of the Carters, and I'm so happy for Diane in particular as she so underrated! Rakhee definitely deserves the win though, I'm still gutted she's gone
I can't think of any standout performances for Mick in the past year. Shabnam, Denise and Stacey have been constantly on form and Martin and Kush have delivered some great moments too. I'd have picked Phil for the third male nominee.
I really wanted Steve McFadden to get a award nom for Phil...Playing an amazing realistic Drunk yet funny too
I agree, Steve delivers his best work when portraying the drunk Phil. That said, John Middleton who plays Ashley in Emmerdale wholeheartedly deserves best actor award this year for some fantastic performances.
Abby is going to batter Louise
If Kush was 2 hours late then what's everyone's problem? It wouldn't be acceptable in any other line of work.
It's a bit low of Sharon to hope Max's old house would go cheap since he's in prison, given she knows he didn't do anything! Still, I'm quite enjoying the Sharon/Ronnie (and Jack) friendship that's developing. In fact, I've noticed quite a few friendships forming - Kathy interacting with Shirley and Denise has been great. It just adds that little bit of heart to the show in amongst all the drama.
Exactly! Are we really meant to take pity on his character because he's having a "hard time" - a situation he put himself in as the result of sleeping with his wife's best friend?!
The spoilers for next week look exciting all round, but particular the Abi baby secret reveal. I never thought I'd be this invested in her character!
Babe rules all.
I think with Abi, she's just finally being given something to do after spending at least 7 years answering the door. Pairing her with Babe has also been genius.
Omg at that dig! "The gym? It practically runs itself these days!"
She should have responded with "and Denny practically looks after himself these days".
Ellen Thomas has tweeted that Claudette will have scenes with Peggy *.*
'he still loves lady gaga more than he loves you'
All I could think about was Toby
Haven't we seen Danielle dying?
Oh my!
This is definitely going to end up being something similar to the Ian/Cindy thing that happened a few years ago
I hope it's not Hannah. Danny and Glenda would be good, but I'm not sure why they would do it!
I think Hannah may have ordered the flowers but she could have done so on the authority of her creepy uncle. Glenda is of course a possibility since all we know of the caller is that she was female. I'd also include Roxy as an outside bet but then surely Paul would have recognised her voice?
Now I took a break from watching in 2013 when it became boring and didn't tune in again until Christmas that year, around the time of Carl White's death. Shouldn't Jack already know who Carl White is? Especially with his connections to the Branning family? I though Carl was in screen months before Jack left?
Jack left in september and Carl was killed the following January so he should know him.
Louise has ascended to God Tier along with Shirley Babe and Claudette*.*
Did Jack say that he didn't know Carl or was it just inferred? I didn't pick up on that bit.
It was how Sharon said 'there was this bloke, Carl White' as if it were news to Jack. But even Sharon should have known that Jack and would know Carl. Does feel like a continuity blip.
I suppose it's plausible he didn't know him, given Carl wasn't living on the square, more popping in and out when it suited him. We're probably quite used to everyone supposedly knowing one another on Eastenders but in real London it would be pretty normal not to, even within a small area, but I get the confusion all the same.
Given Carl's connection to Max, Jack should at least have known of him. Or maybe he's just a shit brother which he kind of is anyway.
I take it back, Jack did know him:
I'll have to re-watch tonight's scenes but maybe Sharon didn't realise Jack knew him?
What I really want to know is why Sharon thought it would be a good idea to open the door to who-knows-who whilst Ronnie's screaming "I didn't mean to kill him".
Abi's family are all shit. They keep emphasising how much she needs to be a Mitchell cos she's got no one left yet Jack is back, her stepgrandmother Dot lives across the square and has always been fond of her and her cousin Sonia must have about 11 free room's in Pat's old Tardis of a house yet none of these people ever speak to Abi anymore.
Auntie Mabel is returning! *.* i.e. Jane's mum Linda, as well as a return for Christian, as part of an "explosive Beale storyline" in the summer
Bai Jane.
I keep on thinking its Charlie for some reason.
Abi trying her best Janine impression had me in convulsions.
Also, Uncle Tim has access to Hannah's card presumably. As for the female voice, he could have had anyone helping him.
Abi is so hilarious when she's trying to be badass, I hope she never leaves.
Louise will destroy her.
Abi should've battered her!
Jack and Abi finally having a scene together!
Yeah but notice how he had to happen to see her rather than actively searching her out. He's simply the worst family member ever.
Tbf the last time Jack saw Abi she was a shit character who no-one would ever in their right minds actively seek out. He hadn't met the post-live episodes ICON until now.
She still is shit tho.
She still is shit tho.
http://i.imgur.com/aHrp9aA.jpg
Are they seriously trying to turn her into a mini Janine? Epic fail if that's what they're going for
Louise sings Bad Blood tonight. It sounds spectacular.
Louise queen of pop *.*
Rebecca could never.
Louise got flushed Like father like son
What was actually quite a chilling, uncomfortable scene was spoiled by Johnny just casually walking in, oblivious to what was happening. The recreation of Ian/Phil toilet-gate didn't work either.
What a great episode! Poor Abi! and new Johnny is very cute
That was the worst cliffhanger ever. Moment completely ruined by Johnny turning up with a stupid smile on his face, failing to even notice the commotion behind him and the need for Linda to scream out 'Johnny' when no one else cares just because if she didn't then viewers wouldn't get who he was meant to be.
I'd love a retaliation from Abi tomorrow about how Ben has always lied to her and even given her an STD but I doubt she'll even remember to say anything.
Billy Mitchell-All About That Bass *.*
Lmao that ending made me howl so much
I love how everyone watched him drag her through the Vic half naked and clearly very angry without doing anything. Great "community".
It's a shame they ruined the doof doof by shoving Johnny in our face too. Especially after they built the tension with that really creepy scene in the toilet!
Anyone else feel that Kush and Carmel feel a bit pointless since Shabnam left? She really was the best thing in the show and they clearly had more planned for her.
I found the end of the episode unrealistic to the point of being jarring! Like burbe says, I don't think Ben would have made it from the bathroom to the mic, dragging a half naked Abi, without one person in there trying to intervene. Her Uncle was there!! I don't think a bar full of people would be stunned into not moving and remaining silent.
Johnny just walking up to the bar as if absolutely nothing is happening was incredibly awkward too. He knew Ben, so he'd probably react in some way... a bit stunned, maybe? He could have walked into the pub, immediately seen/heard/sensed what was going on... I think that'd be enough to make you stand awkwardly at the door. Then Linda could have turned to see him at the doorway and exclaimed "Johnny". The character returning really didn't deserve the "duff duff" over Abi/Ben.
If I look beyond all this, this episode actually made me feel sorry for Abi. She did a bad thing for sure, but Ben is certainly no angel himself. Like T Boy mentioned, I actually want to see Abi get some form of revenge for this public humiliation.
Yeah I agree for sure, in any community you would not just stand there as he does that to a young girl :/ A whole pub full, not one even shouted to stop let alone intervened!
I agree about Carmel and Kush too. It's like they're trying to still continue her as if nothing happened but they feel so left out now, out of place. I think she maybe needs to get together with Mas or they could bring in Kush's brothers and develop the family as a whole a bit more. They just feel like they're plonked on the square with nothing but Kush's moping and need to his mum to drag them forward and it's dragging Carmel as a character down. It's nice when you see her with Denise, for example, but it's nowhere near the potential she had and the level she was at before :/
It was definitely unrealistic but it was the first time I've properly felt sorry for Abi. It was really uncomfortable viewing and my heart really went out to her. As people have said Johnny's reappearance completely ruined the otherwise harrowing scene.
Louise singing Bad Blood is a moment for life. *.*
It was unrealistic that no-one stepped in straight away, but this is soapland and, whenever there is a big reveal, everyone always stands there and listens. Same happened with Sharongate. We'll see the reaction in the next episode and, judging from spoiler pics, Jack does step in and I'm sure he'll lose it. Yet the likes of those on DS forums are reacting as if they are absolutely disgusted with the whole show and will never watch again because it's apparently sending the message out that misogyny and sexual abuse is okay. Sorry, but I don't think anyone watched that scene and thought it was okay and I'm certain the producers were not trying to put that message across.
The scene was meant to be uncomfortable and it's another development into Ben's character and his lack of respect for women, possibly a result of lack of good mother figures and the discouragement of being 'feminine' himself. Not that it means we should sympathise with Ben, of course not, but it makes for interesting viewing and makes Eastenders what it is.
-x-
In regards to Kush/Carmel, I think future plans for them were knocked out of place by Shabnam/Rakhee's departure, but I hope they stay (well, I can take or leave Kush given he only worked well when bouncing off Shabnam/Rakhee but he's pretty essential for keeping Carmel and I think she has the potential to be a great character). Given how Carmel has integrated with other characters and established friendships with Masood, Kathy and Shirley, I'd like to think she's safe, as well as the fact that the producers surely realise how well received Bonnie Langford has been in the role.
Wait and see, they will recast Shabnam again.
I hope not, Rakhee has made too much of an impression for Shabnam to be recast. Just look at the controversy surrounding the Martin recast, despite James Alexandrou not making half the impression and being away from the role for nearly 9 years at the time! That said, it's clear there was still more to come for Shabnam's character, just like there was for Johnny, so you never know.
Suppose it depends on whether they can get her back at a later date and also depends on how eager they are to continue her stories. I hear rumours are/were flying around about Rakhee becoming the next Doctor Who companion, so it may be some time before she returns, if ever.
Very unrealistic that not one person stepped in, especially an uncle who she gets on with. I too really felt sorry for Abi considering that Ben has been sleeping with fellas behind her back and was essentially ever only using her to cover his own sexuality.
Aside from all that can they please not make abi the new janine.
I hate how everyone will most likely take his side in the soap :/ He cheated on her, used her to hide his sexuality, nearly gave her a STD and humiliated her in public
Oh that's it now, all of Albert Square must stop because Sausage is here and the Carters need to be centre stage. He is cute though.
why is ben playing victim?
Jesus Christ even her own family gives no f***s Even Tanya will probably turn her away.
Sorry but why does Abbi not tell Babe is all behind this?
SLAY JAY SLAY *.*
Jay really needs a bigger storyline it's long overdue
Jay Spilling the tea *.*
Hmmm, thoughts on that episode.
1) Marie is QUEEN of karaoke with that Waterloo performance.
2) Carters stealing another duff duff unnecessarily-does DTC need to squeeze as many in as he can before he's off?
3) Dot had the best reaction to the reveal 'what do you wanna do that for?' as if Abi just knocked a plant over by accident.
4) Jay was brilliant. But the Louise scene screamed of LINZI IS UNDERAGE ZOMG
5) not convinced yet by new Johnny or how he doesn't know of the rape. How on Earth did they explain the wedding pictures of Mick in the dressing gown then?
6) it was incredibly stupid his Masood is not allowed to be upset with Stacey. I'm sorry but like Abi, Stacey needs to deal with the consequences of what she did.
How old is Carmel meant to be? I don't understand why Masood said she was "too old" for him when Bonnie Langford is 51 and Nitin Ganatra is 48.
Shame the happy clappy Carter scene spoiled the mood again at the start of the episode, but the rest got better. Wasn't really blown away by nuJohnny but I'm sure he'll fit into the role better as we see more of him. I liked the scene where he started singing, unbeknown to him, the song that was playing when Linda was raped.
Jay's line to Louise about her being only 14 pretty much proves Linzi will be underage too. Spoilers for next week show Jay goes to Louise's school and makes some sort of discovery, so two guess what that may be...
What is it with Carmel and staring/shouting at windows?
Obviously in all scenes planned for Carmel to interact with Shabnam, they had to quickly replace her with windows.
Where was Phil gonna take Abi? WTF? Who is he to take the moral high ground after everything he's pulled over the last few years?
"You're not gonna lie your way out of this one like your dad"
I'm sorry but this whole reveal over the last two episodes has pissed me off. How could the writers get it this wrong? The only thing they got right is Jay telling the Mitchells about themselves.
It's less about what is right and wrong but more about what you expect from a character. The reactions from Jay and Phil differ, but both are what you'd expect from them.
Jay was so spot on, it made me want to cheer! It's high time that Ben faces up to his sexuality, and Phil needs to get a grip when it comes to this as well.
Carmel communicating with people via shouting at windows, is my new favourite thing. May she continue to do this. In all seriousness I think Carmel is wonderful! I really like her friendship with Denise.
Carmel is wonderful but I do find her strong support of Stacey nauseating even if it is her grandchild and I do worry she'll just become a spare part. Scenes with her and Kush have been pretty naff of late.
I'd be quite gutted if they got rid of Carmel. Bonnie has really shone in the role and I think she has what it takes to be a long lasting character if she's invested, but the producers will need to give her something to do. Hopefully SOC has plans.
Carmel has to stay, she is a breath of fresh air and i always enjoy her screen time, Kush i can take or leave.
Apparently early drafts of the schedule commencing 25th April shows there will be an hour long episode on Wednesday 27th April. Either that's due to missing episodes due to Euro 2016 in the summer or it marks Peggy's comeback.
Can Belinda be a regular please? "Looks like you're not the only one with a new set of balls" !!
I'm loving how characters are saying what we've all been thinking - Dot was spot on when talking to Jack about not being there for Abi.
Yes, I did enjoy the Dot/Jack scene. Was quite enjoyable watching her gradually reiterate everything that's been said about that situation on here for the last few days.
Belinda to stay forever please.
I saw the same. It's definitely still May/June and I believe Danniella is back for 3 episodes. I can only think that she's referring to the possible full time return that was hinted around the same time as Celebrity Big Brother.
''Do you still wee sitting down''
BGT 2007 finalist Shaheen Jafargholi will be starring as Carmel's son Shakil. This is really great news, not necessarily for the casting but it means a certain character will be staying!
Oh my god.
Let's hope he has more to him then Kush and can actually work without a Shabnam-type.
HIS WEAVE IN THE DS ARTICLE !!!
The pool scenes were really well done tonight I think, Ollie is completely adorable and it was great to see Nancy and Mick FINALLY make up.
What a lovely episode. I think I've now fully warmed to the Carters as a family <3
Was such a lovely episode to see especially the Carters
Yeh loved The Carters tonight
Not really feeling new Johnny, I don't know what it is, but I am finding him rather Vanilla.
I forgot about Whitney & Johnny. She just needs to try it on with Buster for the complete set now
"You just gonna eat for the rest of your life?" Well duh, Tamwar, that is how living works.
Yeah, really heart-warming scenes with the Carters tonight. People say they're overused but I always feel like they act like a genuine family; really great chemistry between them all and I've found new Johnny to settle in really well.
As proved last night, the Carters actually work better when they're happy. They get so annoying during a drama but I love seeing them have happy family time together.
Lets not forget Babe. She was complete gold last night
Please tell me those Rachel Stevens rumours are not true.
Could you imagine
I like the new Jonny so far, give him time i think he will fit in very well. T Boy i agree, i too believe the Carters work better when happy, they need a few happy storylines for a while and they have aunt Babe up to her usual mischief in the background.
Belinda Slater is a very welcomed addition, she has some of the best one-liners since she came back on screen and wonderful to watch. I hope plans are in place for her to become a regular cast member. The Slater unit needs to be built up and given strong storylines as they are one of soaps finest families to watch.
Masood must surely be on his way out now.
If Masood stays, they'll pair him with Carmel
Knew it was coming eventually but WHAT A REVEAL!!
That was about as surprising as Les being a cross-dresser, but I feel like it's the start of a really gritty storyline that will spark all sorts of debate.
Saw this coming poor Jay!
On a lighter note, the duff duff should have played immediately after Paul said "Tam, I think someone slipped on a grape".
I feel like they're gonna make Louise, Linzi & Rebecca into the new Lauren, Lucy & Whitney
http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/eastenders/news/a790968/eastenders-spoilers-denise-fox-sleeps-with-phil-mitchell/
Wot?
What do attractive women see in Phil?
Lisa
DAWN(like seriously what the f*** with this one)
Kathy
Tanya
Sharon
Denise
Stud
ERMMMMM
WTF? She loathes him with a passion?
What's really more odd tho?
Denise sleeping with Phil? Or someone actually getting Libby pregnant?
Shouldn't we be using spoilers for things like this?
(Omg at it though !!)
This pairing is not the best idea.
christ.
A sad day for Joseph Jonny Labey aka Paul Coker is leaving.
That's what happens when a character is brought in purely for a plot device. Could see his family being kicked off next, although there seems to be more potential with them.
Not a surprise really, and certainly no loss.
I forgot he was even there half the time
Absolutely no loss there.
Are they insinuating that Bex and Louise are in the same year, despite Bex being over a year older?
Howling at Denise tonight.
How the f*** she ended up with Gary i don't know
Denise was everything tonight.
As predictable as it all was i do think this Jay storyline will be good. Linzi should give Louise some acting lessons.
And i detest the way there destroying Zainab.
I honestly thought Nancy was never gonna leave. Won't miss her.
Well, goodbye to the best young adult Eastenders had in years.
I'll miss Tam too tbh. His speech made me tear up a little.
Really loved both Nancy and Tamwar. Perfect couple, so very happy they got a great send off!
Masood seems redundant now, time for him to go. Going to miss Tamwar though, Maddy Hill could come back down the line, if she decides to return.
Just caught up on last weeks episode. I was SCREAMING @ Denise, especially her putting that pic of Louise stealing on the door @ the Minute Mart
Denise can do everything.
''Vaguely racist oven gloves'' is still one of the best lines ever.
DENISE FLUSH THE POO
Denise and Kim are utter comedy gold together.
I never thought I see Denise making out with Phil never a dull moment in Eastenders
Everyone's all like "ugh the writing for this is horrible" but I think the writing and acting during the confrontation scenes have been wonderful and very true to life without anyone acting out character. It's not often these days in soap that we're truly invested in a character and care about what happens to them, yet that's what makes good drama. So no, Jay's character hasn't been "ruined" and the writing isn't "terrible" - it's gritty, it's real, it's not sensationalism, it's going to spark debate at least socially and hopefully change attitudes.
Yasss Liam, drag those DS twats
I'm assuming its them cus they hate everything.
I'm delving into a bit of weave-snatching! Yeah, it's namely them and they can't seem to make up their minds - they complained about sensationalism but still aren't happy when the show returns to the sort of thing that made it so successful to begin with! Not to mention the fact it's something that an underrated/underused character/actor like Jay/Jamie can get their teeth into and have a chance to shine.
I haven't had a problem with it at all tbh. As has been said, all reactions have been in character. Except maybe Bex but then she barely has a character.
I could watch episode after episode of drunk Phil and drunk Denise. It needs to happen.
It was pretty embarrassing to see Sharon attend police interviews in her darts team jacket.
And now we know where Bex was when Sonia and Martin were off being atrocious parents all the time: shagging her way through school.
We perhaps haven't seen enough of Bex to really know her character; it was just assumed that she was nice because she isn't your typical troublesome teenager that soaps love to portray all people of that age range as. I imagine she is "nice" but also quite naive and impressionable, thinking that one case fits all when it comes to an under-age girl and an adult male.
Plus with Sonia as a mother, it's surprising she is even that decent of a human being!
My main problem with Bex's reaction is that she doesn't seem to listen to her supposed friend. I guess she's concerned for Star which makes sense but it still seems a bit off. Then again, as you say, f***ing SONIA is her mother so what can we expect?
I imagine Bex to be someone who reads far too into things and, like most people her age, is influenced by what they see in the media or other adult's opinions, so would treat Star/Linzi's pleas as trying to protect Jay who has deluded her vision and taken advantage etc. What I find more unconvincing was the scene with Sonia, saying she's "had sex loads of times" and the general bitterness towards her (okay we know Sonia is Satan in human form but I don't think we've seen anything precisely between the two of them that would warrant that sort of disrespect, unless I've missed something).
I am kind of living for sassy slag Bex. Great episode tonight I agree, DS need to lighten up! They complain for ages that he has nothing to do then the second he has a storyline that's it, he's ruined. I am really liking this storyline so far, it's one that will spark a debate for sure and something a bit different, with a lot of complex things to consider. It's certainly better than something like another affair, another pregnancy storyline or anything like that!
This storyline reminds me of Alo in Skins and the 14 year old girl!
Anyway...I'm assuming all of Rebecca's supposed sexual partners have all been her age then and not a day over 16? And she's still breaking the law by having sex underage regardless anyway, so her reaction seems extreme even though she's obviously trying to protect her friend here from someone she feels is taking advantage.
I do think this teenage group is the best they have in years.
Sharon's tan is a mess.
I feel incredibly sorry for Jay right now.
Kathy looking GLAM. *.* Sonia not so much with that dress and boots match, or rather lack of.
Really enjoying the Jay storyline but I hope the fact it's working at high pace doesn't mean it will be over and done with soon enough. The fact he's on the sex offenders list for 5 years is surely going to pop up and bite him on the backside in the future, plus I remembered about Billy's pervy photos of Lucy in tonight's ep which I thought he looked ready to reveal to Jay about.
Shirley was on FIRE with her Sonia shade tonight. 'She could get wound up looking in the mirror' and 'but the ugly stepsister says you can't go' had me howling.
When Sonia said she wanted some mother daughter time Bex looked like she was gonna spew.
Notice how Mick was deluded enough to think your plea equates to whether you're actually guilty or not, despite pleading guilty himself in regards to having sex with a prostitute in 2014.
Can this be Sonia's exit story? Thanks.
Are we meant to fell sorry for Sonia? Tina is the one coming out of this sympathetically.
Dot watching Donna walking, Donna with the mic and Kim's eyeroll whilst sipping champers had me in stitches.
Did we have to see Dots nipple though?
DS are royally pissing me off.
Masood getting a Tinder date within hours, slay
Tina is everything.
(that Andy is also everything but in a different way)
This Andy guy is a real revelation. Where did he come from? MORE PLEASE.
Andy is enjoyable. Also that one who gave Johnny his number.
Do they make Sonia annoying on purpose, or is it just Natalie Cassidy as a person?
I can't understand why Sonia has endured so long. She always had pretty big storylines in the early 00s and yet you never hear anyone say 'Sonia's my fave'.
The character was spoiled by the ridiculous original lesbian storyline and she lost all good acting ability since her 2014 return.
To think how powerful her performance was when Jamie died!
The''just doing this now'' Woman would be a better Sonia than the one we actually have.
First look at Peggy's return: http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/eastenders/news/a792376/soap-spoilers-eastenders-peggy-return-emmerdale-kidnap-coronation-street-chaos-hollyoaks-wedding/
Claudette>>>Peggy
Claudette's boobs>>>>>>>>>>>anything
So Stephen Beale is returning. I can't help but feel this is the beginning of the end for Jane.
I'm more thrilled at the fact it's not a recast! Nice to see the Beale family being brought to the forefront of the show again.
NOT a recast? Now that is a surprise.
I am in 2 minds about the news.
Dullest episode of the year goes to...
I was waiting for Andy,s shower scene, shame it didn't happen....
Andy is essential Joey 2.0.
Yeh but still i think there is a story behind him especially when he said something about the brother/sister thing
True but having a story behind them doesn't necessarily make them interesting, as Kyle is unfortunately proving more and more.
My GOD, the whole Ian selling his restaurant to some discount chain/the locals being upset over it storyline is BEYOND boring.
Especially since you know it isn't going to happen. I'd like to see more scenes between Buster and Kathy tho.
Is everyone perched for Andy's shower tomorrow?
*Perched*
what, it's ACTUALLY happening? beyond perched.
