Nooooo. (I quite liked it, it was a bit TOO weird for me though - great performances though).

Not sure I'd recommend it to anybody but arthouse, indie film fans laugh.gif

Me and a friend have got tickets booked for The Invisible Man at our local Cineworld for Saturday evening. VIP too and so far we're the only ones in the screening wub.gif

Currently 89% on Rotten Tomatoes! *EDIT: Up to 91%.

Candyman has a June 12th release date and Jordan Peele is involved with production so I'd be very surprised if this doesn't turn out to be one of the films of 2020. The trailer is incredible *.*

We now finally have a release date for 'The Hunt' biggrin.gif Much sooner than I was expecting tbh! I've updated the original post with the new trailer for that as well as 'Candyman'.

I watched 'The Invisible Man' today and it was honestly incredible - gripping, tense and emotional in places as well. Elisabeth Moss is incredible in it, so cleverly done and no silly jump scares either. That's how you do a really genuinely scary and tense horror film.

The Invisible Man is one of the best films I've seen in years. Shocked at how legit terrifying it was.

It's really stuck with me, there were so many good moments too when he killed the sister and we found out the brother was involved, I gasped!!

I was slightly unsure about this as the trailer gave a lot away, but these reviews are definitely interesting me. I also had no idea it was based on the HG Wells story! I'm reading his classics at the minute so I'll have to check this out.

No, I'm not overly well versed in 1930s horror, even though I should be.

Just saw 'The Invisible Man'. I loved it!

My review of it on Letterboxd:

"The Invisible Man (2020) ★★★★½

Tafty’s review published on Letterboxd:

This was fantastic! It wasn't so much a "horror" as much as it was a psychological, sci-fi, thriller. Fantastic performances all round. The directing was stunning. Leigh Whannell really excelled in that part. What a talented man! Extremely tense and some moments had me literal gasping!

Really well executed.

Overall it felt very Gone Girl meets Ex-Machina and I mean that in the absolute best ways possible.

So, so good."

Very impressed by it.

There was a certain scene (the sisters death) which literally had everybody gasping in my showing of The Invisible Man. Was cool to witness laugh.gif

It looks like John Krasinski has knocked it outta the park (again) with A Quiet Place Part II. SO happy because I didn't want the legacy of the first film to be tarnished with a crappy sequel.

I've got a feeling this could be a rare case of the sequel being better than the original! Just a feeling I have and I think expanding with new characters will really help that.

Yeah. I feel extremely confident about the sequel. Like, usually I have a bit of doubt but I have nothing with this. I've stayed away from trailers and I couldn't be more hyped now we're literally just weeks away!

The trailer is incredible so if that's anything to go by then we're in for a treat!

Going to see Fantasy Island in about 30 mins...

I shall get back to you on how truly awful it is biggrin.gif

Just be better than Truth or Dare and I'll take it tbh.

Early reviews saying that The Hunt is really problematic and encourages free speech for homophobic/racist views. Ugh, if it's true, I might not even watch it.
