 I think there is a movie she's directed that goes by the title of Loved that's due at some point although I've heard very few details about it. I loved W/E so wouldn't mind another film directed by her, but of course music is what I most want from Madonna so I'm glad the film project doesn't seem to be preventing her from creating music too.

Please don't try to be 'current' Madge! I think she has the potential to make a really great album about where she is now in her life and that's something I'd really love to hear - Queen was a starter along those lines and I wish she would be brave enough to make a more reflective album.

Agreed! Perhaps I'm getting too ahead of myself by envisioning a direction she could be going in, but with all that's gone in the world and with her really enjoying Portuguese culture and music, she's got some great potential for really fascinating lyrical and musical material.

Madonna commented on Guy Oseary's latest IG post, where he praised the consistency of ROL and its success in standing the test of time:
guyoseary 20 year anniversary of �� @madonna RAY OF LIGHT album.. One of the greatest albums of all time.. It was the first @Madonna album I worked on.. You can see from this video the kind of relationship we had then.. NOTHING has changed.. If you filmed us today, it would be the same dynamic.. Love this woman. Love this album. One day she will hopefully do a tour for this album.. It deserves to be performed from start to finish.. ❤️���� respect to @williamorbit for his brilliant work on this album.. ���� .. A brilliant article.
Maybe, safe in the knowledge that no amount of Julia Michaels, Ed Sheeran or even Sia co-writes are going to give Madonna a hit in the streaming era (and that no matter what, a full Madonna album and world tour are always going to make money), you should take a look at her pretty spotless track record and leave her to her own devices this time around. This rings true. She won't get a hit again, so stop chasing one and just make DAMN GOOD music that is true to who you are and from your heart and mind. |

That would be great news! Mirwais had some very interesting production ideas but there was also a subtlety to it and room for Madonna's vocals to shine, which I think has been missing from big productions from Madonna's recent music.
