BuzzJack Music Forum _ Little Mix _ How will The Search do ratings wise?

Posted by: 365 Sep 24 2020, 02:33 PM

Most recent comparable season premieres

The Greatest Dancer: 3.2 million (4.6 season 1)

The Voice UK: 5.3

X Factor Celebrity: 6.26

X Factor The Band: 1.7

The Masked Singer: 6.73

Britain's Got Talent 2020 8.3

Strictly Season 17: 9.25

Bake off (this week's premiere) 6.9

Please comment and let me know what you think!

Thinking of around 4.5 premier with it averaging out around 3.5 per episode?

Premiere: 4m+
Average: 3m-ish

& I think the BBC will be happy with those. Anything above is ofc a bonus!

I doubt they'll do another show like this anyway - but hoping that if the ratings are strong then BBC/other TV companies see the results and take the leap and give them their own special at some point. Maybe to celebrate 10 years, next year?

I'm sticking to a 5.5 - 6 million opening
And prob an average of 4ish million

Without knowing anything about guest stars/performances i'd say roughly around 4-4.5m for the premier, maybe around 3.5m per episode and then I feel like the finale may have premier figures?

I imagine iPlayer figures may pick up the slack for the "middle" episodes, does that apply? I know in the US that they had like the live figures and then the figures for OnDemand, not sure how it works here

Yeah there will be overnight ratings, but also end of week give consolidated ratings - the above are all overnights.

I think a premiere of about 6 million and a 4-5 million average overall for the show run.

This is what I'm thinking too. I'd say I could see some episodes dipping below 3m but I think it'll see a slight lift later down the line when Strictly starts.

When is Strictly supposed to start?
