Red Nose Day, raising money for Comic Relief, is back with the telethon on 15th March on BBC One. Below is a list of some of the confirmed highlights of the programming on the night and in the run up to the big day itself:
- A special reunion piece to mark the 25th anniversary of 'Four Weddings And A Funeral'
- Richard Madden returning to his role as David Budd in Bodyguard
- A new run of 'Comic Relief Does The Apprentice'
- A host of well known faces, including Strictly's Shirley Ballas, Alexander Armstrong, Countryfile's Anita Rani and Buzzjack faves Jade and Leigh-Ann from Little Mix trekking up Mount Kilimanjaro to mark the 10th anniversary of the first trek
- Just announced this morning: Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman are doing a 24 hour danceathon for BBC Radio 2 from 11th - 12th March
More to be confirmed, I'm especially excited for the Four Weddings reunion, one of my favourite films ever that!
Another new sketch confirmed for next Friday - 10 years on from their parody of the first movie for Red Nose Day 2009, French and Saunders have filmed a parody of 'Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again'. Alan Carr, Miranda Hart and several others have been confirmed to be guest starring!
I'm sure Freya Ridings will be there to perform Lost Without You
I'm sure George Ezra & Jess Glynne will be available too. 🙃
Louis has - understandably - cancelled his appearance tonight following the passing of his sister Felicite earlier this week.
And as expected, they have films with, whilst having celebrities narrating the story, people telling their own story and showing the postive impact of support. Of course, that won’t have front page headlines!
And, further shock, Stacey’s film was not white saviour poverty porn, it was highlighting a hospital funded for by Comic Relief. Again, bet they’ll be zero headlines!
