It seems like all the rumours and polls and everything else is pointing at 'Slumber Party' being the next single. I do believe it's just a matter of time until it's announced, so I have started this thread now, so we as a forum, can collectively debate on whether it'll be a good choice/whether it's what we want or don't want or whatever else.

I will tidy this first post up once there is OFFICIAL confirmation, so it won't look so tacky. But seeing as the 'Glory' thread is well over 50 pages (usually 50 is the cut-off point ) we can speculate the next single in here until then!

Those three are the BEST choices IMO. We need a top 40 hit at least to ensure future singles.

Slumber Party & Liar were played at the festival I went to this past weekend. Very alternative community. The response to Slumber Party was very surprising. So many knew it! I really think it's the smash waiting to happen along with JLM.

Slumber Party is definitely the best choice for the second single, especially in the US.
It's got the Hotline Bling-esque tone and it's also very similar sounding to the Post Malone & Justin Bieber track.

Slumber Party isn't even in my top 5 on the album anymore but I still think it is her best chance of a top 40 / steaming hit. It sounds the most made for radio for reasons Kye and Tyler explained.

I can see why some Britney fans would find JLM boring, but that also sounds like it would do well with today's audience. Though it might need a feature to help break it up a bit and give the song some extra hype. (Even though I'd probably still listen to the original myself). Obviously she'd never get him but a Drake verse would sound so good on JLM.

Yes! The fans that are not here for it are also COMPLETELY out of touch with today's taste in music. Which is fine. But, singles are to sell records. Slumber Party and Just Luv Me need to be the next singles. And I also say that as SP is probably only my 6th favorite on the album.

Someone on Popjustice and I totally agree. You have to accept a slightly more basic song if you want a hit for Brit. But it's fine if you just want her to release your fav so that it gets the video treatment.

They do need to release something ASAP since Make Me is dead and Glory has pretty much disappeared from every chart in the world

That would be such a dodgy choice overall and would make it seem like they were being lazy because they already have choreo for it. It was already performed at iHeart and Today Show and didn't spark any interest.

Yeah, I don't think people should just write her off, everything was going great until Britney Jean. In hindsight FF was much bigger than it felt at the time, 3 top 10s!? We took those days for granted

Man On The Moon is my favourite and I would love for that to be the next single but realistically Slumber Party is the best option, I think maybe it's too late for Just Luv Me, that sound is kinda going out of style. Slumber Party's already done quite well on Spotify.

If James Arthur can get another hit I don't see why Britney can't

Definitely! Britney still gets talked about by people my age, not just in a nostalgic way either, and radio have shown some sort of willingness to support her (Capital hyped up new Britney music a lot on social media and Radio 1 have had her on the show a few times).

'Make Me...' felt like it could have done well but numerous missteps ruined that, but if they released something like 'Slumber Party' and corrected the wrongs they made previously, Britney could have a hit.

I really think 'Love Me Down' should have been the lead single with 'Make Me' being a fabulous fall release.

This is crazy! Obviously this doesn't necessarily guarantee radio are going to be all over it and it's going to be a hit, but it does show that the team are still invested in this era and are at least giving it a shot, as well as, of course (and most importantly) giving a treat for the fans.

'Slumber Party' is one of my favourites on the album and I could imagine a Tinashe collab really giving it that extra oomph. IMAGINE THE VIDEO!

I wouldn't define 'All My Friends' as her breakthrough... it didn't even make the Billboard Hot 100! It was a big hit in the UK & Australia, but eh, I think that was more about the song than people suddenly being here for Tinashe. It didn't exactly propel her to a new level of stardom, and none of the songs she's released since then have done anything. It's a shame.

It's great (because 'Slumber Party' was great already) but I can't help but but feel disappointed. It's hardly even a remix if Tinashe just sings the existing verse! Wish they'd changed it up a bit more. They do sound great together though and I am SO here for the video.

Only thing I wanted was Tinashe to get involved more in the big room scene chereography. Would have loved to see more of just the two of them slaying some moves rather than just lying on top of one and another. But that's probably because I'm here for Tinashe and her showing off her talents more so than your average viewer, so I'm sure I'm the only one bothered.

This is quite possibly in my top 5 Britney videos of all time, not sure yet. Definitely in my top ten. The color scheme is very much like the flaunt shoot which I love! Seriously my favorite dance sequence since MATM, and it's the first dance sequence since ITZ, where she is rivaling pre 2005 Britney. SLAYED. The outfits? Amazing. That blue tutu is my favorite Britney look since her underwear scenes in the My Prerogative video. SO PLEASED.

It's great. It's about equivalent to 'Make Me' on its first 12 hours, but were seeing it continuing to keep those numbers up, unlike MM. She's still averaging more than 150,000 views per hour.

This also has fantastic replay value with fans.

So, it's definitely doing better than 'Make Me which is saying a lot as this ran off of little to no hype. We should see it snowball and gain even higher numbers within the 2-3 day period.

I think it's doing so well because it's just an amazing pop video.
It has every key component of what a music video from 'the pop girls' should have.. it also helps that the song is an absolute jam

Late to comment, but I am so happy this video happened. It's the complete opposite of the 'Make Me' video (though I'm kind of "how dare you" @ the female dancers from that video showing up here) and I love it. I can't really criticise anything with it at all - it never feels over the top but it's not underwhelming either, it's the perfect "size" and feels super natural.

The replay value is the best thing about the video - I've watched it several times now, which feels great after my one reluctant watch of 'Make Me'. I keep coming back to the aesthetic (so gorgeous!) and how much life there is in all of the scenes overall. It's a really vibrant video despite the muted colours, which is an achievement.

It's a real pity about the AMAs because this could have had a really explosive start with a live performance but hopefully RCA have something planned. I don't think the video alone will get a hit single but it shouldn't need much more than that. As a song it just has so much going for it.

The Glory era is just poorly planned. Make Me was supposed to be released before BBMAs so that she could perform there, and in the end the single wasn't ready for release and she missed out that opportunity for a huge promotion for that single. And now AMAs was such a good chance for Britney to perform Slumber Party, and they missed it. Even worse than BBMAs. Glory is a great album that sounds much better than Britney Jean, but the failed promo killed the album.

I think Glory went okay as far as i'm concerned. the two major hiccups waqs the song leaking and being a released a week early, so having to compete with Katy Perry's huge iTunes promo, and losing out on #1 on iTunes exposure, a higher peak and a tighter, closer together campaign. And the Make Me video, of course.

Stations start to play more and more Christmas hits, and the big hits of the year, so new songs kind of get "frozen" in limbo, with their fate decided at the beginning of the year, when radio stations either start to spin them again, or drop them in favor of fresher songs released in January.
