Okay, so just realised there was no thread for the upcoming debut album from NAO yet, as seeing as she is on shortlist for BBC Sound of 2016, I thought it was about time.
After releasing two fantastic EP's, including the wonderful 'Feburary 15' (which received a very worthy 8.4 from P4K), it looks like her first album isn't too far away and it is certainly one of my most anticipated of the year ahead if we go by the strength of the previous material. What we can assume is the first single from the first LP, 'Bad Blood', is out now and its INCREDIBLE: |

Everything is so good, especially the second half of the album. Just the right mix of funky and moody; everything just has such a wonderful groove. Would be contender for AOTY but with 'Lemonade' and Frank about to drop I'm thinking a top 5 place seems more realistic. Stanning

Is it just me or does 'We Don't Give A' sound like it almost has real hit potential? Seems to hit the mark between indie blog sweetheart and big sounding pop song so perfectly.
Also 'Blue Wine' might be overtaking 'Bad Blood' as my ultimate favourite. So classic sounding, stunning. |
