Probably -

I'll be OK with an album of 'Bad Habits'-esque songs, but either way hoping it's at least more interesting than the reductive pap that filled Divide.

I think it could be Equal, sounds much better
both Substract or Minus have a negative connotation so not sure if he'll use them

I think people are overestimating the ‘negativity’ associated with ‘-‘, Ed included. It really isn’t a big deal and most would not care or even think about it.

And... he skipped subtraction and went for the equation. Maybe - will cause some technical issues concerning digital releases or something.
