I have been thinking about creating this thread for a while since I personally play this a lot!. I am pretty sure I am the only one but you never know. Anyone else play the popular Block based open world game. I personally play it on PC and Nintendo Switch as I have copies on both consoles. |

Camden might be getting me this soon to start me off on PC gaming (even though I already have Football Manager and EU4 ) so if anyone else plays this, let us know!

I've recently started playing this, it's so addictive as you're left with your imagination (which I'm lacking some what lol). The multiplayer servers are a bit overwhelming like Hypixel but I'm sure I just need to get used to them.

The multiplayer aspect can be bit daunting at first but if you find servers you like I'm sure you will be fine. I mainly use playuhc for multiplayer. |

Nonethless, i'm glad the game is having a second life ever since Pewdiepie is playing it again, then Jackscepticeye and all these other Youtubers starting to play the game again because of the hype he created.

Yeah as someone who plays minecraft a lot and does videos on it too I am glad it has been having a resurgence but its confusing when I see people who played it ages ago left it fornite or called it a dead game etc.

Got the game today on Switch!
Only played for a bit today, so I'm just learning the basics - needs a few internet and friend pointers But I'm enjoying it so far, and the Super Mario pack on Switch is brilliant! |

I downloaded it for my Switch last night ready for my flight today, 19+ hour journey needs some mindnumbing fun Haven't played on the Switch before but I reckon it won't be much different from the last time I played PC (1000's of hours playing on PC lmao) but maybe more like the Pocket edition |

I've been getting the itch to build things in this game
I built a decent 2-floor house on my hardcore world and (because it's a hardcore world) I'm trying to recreate it now in my general survival world, once that's done maybe I'll try something more ambitious statue of anime girl perhaps i avoided Minecraft for ages years ago because it seemed underdeveloped (only started playing it last year after using streams of it to fall asleep to) but the continuous updates I guess paid off as it's a really good world-generation and chill game rn |

I genuinely think it's over-developed - I used to play it for years, and I think at some point they should have stopped. Maybe after the aquatic update, or one of the technical updates. Every time I take a break from playing it's like you have to learn a whole new rulebook to play - the beauty of the game in the first place was it's relative relaxing gameplay once you got over the learning curve, constantly re-introducing that learning curve doesn't work for me. Not to mention splitting a schedule update in to two, causing serious gameplay issues and leaving half-finished features in game. |

Mmm, I mostly ignore everything I don't understand, which is enchanting and most of redstone right now while I build my wood and stone huts, but all the possibilities intrigue me. Because it feels like a game you could potentially do anything in, it makes it stand out.
It's a fantastic sandbox with a huge potential and a lot of open design space still - they've only just introduced copper and that could do a whole load of things in the future even if it is useless right now. Years ago all I had heard about it was your standard survival stuff with procedural generation and blocky look, now you can set up contraptions that automate resource collection or look pretty and do cool things when you press a button... there's so much different stuff one can do now. |
