I know most album threads are made before the release date but I thought it was more appropriate to make this just after it's release since I don't think many people really listen to Twenty One Pilots on here but I'm hoping this new album will get some more Twenty One Pilots fans on BuzzJack, In my opinion Blurryface is their best to date, if this is the first time you've heard of this duo then please go listen to their album, it really is flawless and each song is so different, there is something for everyone

There's also some videos that have been released as well and an audio for Lane Boy
Some of what I've heard from Vessel is rather good, particularly 'Trees' and 'Car Radio' so I've taken a listen to some of these, and I really like 'Tear in My Heart', that starts out very normally then works its way up to being very amazing, I do like how quirky they're willing to be.
I think Polarize is my favourite at the moment.
Blurryface has debuted at number one on the billboard top 200 albums chart
http://www.billboard.com/charts/billboard-200
Gonna give this a bump now that "Stressed Out" has reached top 10 on Billboard.
Also, LANE BOY
This is genuinely one of the best albums in a long time (not biased or anything )
But really, the amount of different sounds on the album (for example comparing Stressed Out to Fairly Local and The Judge you get completely different vibes and sounds which is amazing)
It's great that they don't have a specific sound, they can delve into different genres but still be recognizable as twenty one pilots. There's not many bands these days that have that talent.
Tbh this:

I still think Vessel is the better album.
Stressed Out is amazing, I'll have to check out more
don't they have a song top 10 on us tunez
Their music is so good, I've been listening to them for a while.
Car Radio was the first song I heard from them and have been a fan for a couple of years, I think Car Radio is still my favourite song from them, Holding Onto You a close second, I think Vessel and Blurryfacre are on par with each other overall tbh
So seeing as they seem to be gaining some pretty wonderful traction I've decided to turn my occasional song loving (of the likes of Car Radio, Trees, Tear In My Heart and now Stressed Out <3) into a full album listen of both 'Vessel' and 'Blurryface'. See, I hadn't ever listened to an album even though I'd decided that I loved every song I'd heard from them so far, I need to stop doing that.
I think, for my money, Vessel is the slightly stronger album, but they're both pretty incredible all the way through. I'm just awestruck by the creativity that goes into each song to make it sound different from the last and still a very enjoyable listen. All that mix of slightly different genres is pretty genius too. Holding Onto You, Semi-Automatic, Fairly Local (well I'd clearly heard that before as per my first post in this thread but only now has it stuck) and The Judge are probably my new highlights. Some lovely albums.
count me in
I don't really wanna make a separate thread for this since I don't think there's that many people on buzzjack (yet ) that would do it, but if you guys wanna follow Cody's lead and rate each of the tracks, I will count them up at some point when we have some more and post results in here too if you want, just to get some discussion going?
Feel free to do it for Vessel also since the past few posts have been comparing the two
"Ride" is getting pushed to US Alternative radio stations now: http://www.allaccess.com/alternative/future-releases
Omg yay This album needs soooo much more attention tbh
I listened to 'Stressed Out' the other day, I was impressed. So I checked out the album... Really, very good! I think 'Not Today' is my favourite, but there are a fair amount of good songs on here.
I've heard some previous stuff before, only briefly, but I think I liked what I heard (can't remember) so I will now be checking out their older albums.
I've only just noticed that Stressed Out is at #79 on iTunes! Hopefully it'll rise more.
tbh I feel I finally know this album enough to do this
08.5 Heavydirtysoul
10.0 Stressed Out
10.0 Ride
09.0 Fairly Local
09.0 Tear in My Heart
10.0 Lane Boy (maybe this gets the 11, maybe Ride does, I'm not sure how to choose right now)

08.5 Doubt
09.0 Polarize
09.0 We Don't Believe What's on TV
08.0 Message Man
08.5 Hometown
08.5 Not Today
09.5 Goner
I'm not even nice for the sake of being nice, this album is EXEMPLARY. I think if I did Vessel, not going to right now but maybe in the future, it'd be all 9+ honestly, consider me fully converted.

I'm sure a fair few would be for an album rate, especially in a month or two when Stressed Out has got more popular and subsequently they're got more popular with Buzzjack members I've seen a lot of personal charts with Stressed Out in etc, so a couple of people from that forum might float over here
Stressed Out is one of my favourite 2015 songs. I've heard the album a couple of times and nothing else stood out, unfortunately. I might give it another try.
So obsessed with this album and have not bored of it yet
£1.99 on Google Play this week for those that haven't checked it out yet so hopefully it'll get a huge sales boost.
This album really is an essential for everyone's music libraries tbh, so flawless *.*
My mates are at Reading this weekend and this is what he texted me tonight...
"WE ARE GOING TO SEE TWENTY ONE PILOTS WHEN THEY TOUR OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!!!"
(Then he made a little joke) "They're so average"
to which I replies "PLEASE CAN WEEE!!!??? *crying emoji*"
"YES YES YES! I recorded stressed out but you can't even hear them sing I don't think haha I have so much to tell you"
I am REALLY, REALLY envious of everyone who's seen/going to see them this weekend/whenever.
I already loved this album but it's one of those that just grows and grows and grows, there's so many angles and so many emotions, all of it is such a relatable struggle. I think Goner has to be my favourite, especially the juxtaposition of the fragile start and then the chaos and shouting towards the end, it's just so effective as the death of Blurryface and the demons that haunted the run up to that moment
They're the one band i want to see most, I almost went in February but I had something on the date they were In Glasgow, they seem to tour a lot though so I'm hoping they're back soon
Not sure if anyone's heard of anything that happened last night though, when Tyler was croudsurfing some 'fans' dropped him and they were pulling his shirt and shoes off (hence the rip in his vest at the end of the set )
Marred what seemed to be a brilliant set.
And yep Lindsey, I nearly went when they came to the O2 academy but was too shy to ask the person I wanted to come to come with me, turns out they were also in the same boat and too shy to ask me :,)
This is growing in my affections but "Vessel" is still the better album for me.
Also! I'm seeing them again on September 17th!
#6 in the mids - Hppefully it'll get a few more sales from the current £1.99 Google Play deal and it'll make the Top 5 on Friday
'Ride' is climbing on Spotify (#33) & iTunes (#60) too - Wonder if radio will pick up on this after the success of 'Heathens' as its a much more radio friendly/mainstream track.

Officially a top 5 album over here in the UK!
WHAT A WEEK. Both Britney and TOP in the top 5 albums <3
So deserving of a new peak - Glad people are discovering 'Vessel' too which went Top 40 in the UK for the first time.
Not from this album (obvs), but they've covered My Chemical Romance's song, 'Cancer' for the 'Rock Sound Presents: The Black Parade' album!
It's gorgeous. Tyler's voice is seriously brilliant. Possibly my favourite male voice since Brandon Flowers.
tbh I prefer that cover to the original, Tyler's voice is just so perfect for it I almost forgot it wasn't actually written for him
SO GOOD
I'm not feeling it The first song of theirs I've ever disliked
Up to #56 in the UK and #3 (!!!) In the US!
Their success in the US amazes me!
#37 Was not expecting it to do much/anything tbh!
'Cancer' is a new entry at #93, was expecting it to fall short of the Top 100 tbh. They now have 4 songs in the Top 100 - Heathens #9, Ride #53 (15 weeks Top 75 despite not chatting higher than #47), Stressed Out #66 and Cancer #93.
On the albums Blurryface is back in the Top 10 at #8 and Vessel is at #43 #Slay
TOP + SNL = 8th OCTOBER!
I AM READY!
I'm curious to see if they'll push anything else from this album once "Heathens" has officially peaked.
Maybe they'll perform Cancer
It seems like they're giving 'Lane Boy' another(?) push here in the UK! Very good choice, imo. Hopefully it can be about as successful as 'Ride' was.
PLEASE.
YASSSSS Lane Boy is such a fave
I'm happy for Lane Boy getting a push, HOWEVER I hope that's it for the Blurryface era after that because I really don't want the rest of my faves to go mainstream (yes I am one of THOSE fans ) I really hope it can do something, though, although I'm not expect it to do half as well as Stressed Out and Heathens have done.
SO THEY'RE DOING A LIVE BLURRYFACE ALBUM THAT'S OUT ON THE 25TH
So, Radio X have playlisted Tear In My Heart, not sure why but yay!
"HeavyDirtySoul" being pushed as the next US single and it goes for Alternative adds next week!
I really wish they can push "Lane Boy" into the US soon but this is also an amazing single choice!
'HeavyDirtySoul' would be great to rinse the album dry of sales! They may as well, especially if they're waiting to finish the next album!
Lane Boy didn't really do much, did it? Heavydirtysoul could do SOMETHING, I suppose, but the pessimist in me says that Blurryface is dead in terms of potential hits. Not Today would be a good choice tho.
Definitely worth a watch!
For some reason I thought MUTEMATH were a metal band and I was kinda confused but go them
The following EP is already at #4 on iTunes US
Love the TOPxMM mini album even though it seems to have passed unnoticed in the UK. Good to see the boosts that their singles and albums have got post Christmas too on iTunes - Can't wait to see what's next from them, definitely my #1 act of 2016.
