Other Radio Playlists Thread
Welcome to the Non-Radio 1 Playlist thread - the place dedicated to playlists that aren't Radio 1, Radio 2, Capital or Heart. Us chart mods have decided this would be for the best since these playlists don't gather much comment in comparison to the Radio 1 playlist, which will have weekly threads, or Radio 2/Capital/Heart, which will have their own yearly threads. So as usual, feel free to discuss the recent updates to these playlists, as well as post any information or news regarding the radio stations. |

It would be good to see the Kiss playlist here too, but looking at their website, it's not that easy to see what their playing as they just add the new additions to the top of the list. It doesn't look up to date either.

The only one I'd like to see added is the 6music playlist. If anyone started that one I would be a very satisfied fellow.

I'm surprised 6music even have a playlist. (also, hint: there's nothing stopping you from posting it yourself) I did many years ago on CHC, don't really have the time at the moment to do it myself. 6music's playlist is a strange beast. Given their mandate is to both promote new music and play the best hits of the past, their playlist is a mix of new singles from oldies who are too "cool" for Radio 2 (Damon Albarn, Beck, Pixies), with songs from upcoming artists like Ibibio Sound Machine, The Bohicas and Let's Wrestle. Of course, that's why I love it so (and also because I contribute to it irregularly). |

Yea it's basically old cool indie stars/bands that haven't moved their music to the centre enough for the morish radio 2 playlist. I usually check the 6 music list each week as radio 1 usually playlist 2/3 bands from it starting on INMWT list. The most pop song on the 6 Music list would probably be Lorde! Maybe the 6 Music playlist would be better placed in the indie thread like the 1 Xtra one as it's not a commercial/hit station! |

I always check out the Radio 6 playlist and look for songs/artists I recognise and those are usually really good songs. I keep meaning to listen to the station as there's lots I've not heard and their music is much different to other playlists.
