Welcome to Round 26 of Least Fave Disney Animated Classic and the latest one to drop is "Alice In Wonderland" which received 9 votes, and was a pretty close run over the last 24 hours. Released in 1951 as the 13th Disney animated feature and has since proved to be one the all time cult classics, being deemed ahead of it's time, when it was first released, where it was critically panned, but throughout the years it has gained much love. Walt Disney first attempted to adapt Alice in 1930's, but was unsuccessful and then again in the 1940's with the idea of a mixture of live action/animation, however due to the war at the time and budget restraints, the plans fell through and in the end decided to make it all animation. The book of which it's based upon has been adapted to the screen many times, most recently in 2010 with Tim Burton directing and stars Mia Wasikowska as Alice, Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, along with other stars such as Helena Bontam Carter & Anne Hathaway. It earned mixed reviews. but became a box office success earning $1.025 Billion worldwide and a sequel "Through The Looking Glass" is set for this year, which is also based on the books by Lewis Carroll.

So with Alice finishing in a respectable 8th place, the remaining ones "101 Dalmatians" had the 2nd highest votes with 6, "The Jungle Book" had 4 votes, while "Snow White", "Aladdin" & "The Lion King" each gained 2 votes each. Then "Beauty and the Beast" got 1 vote and finally "The Little Mermaid" was the only one not to get a vote in the last round.

08th Alice In Wonderland = 9 Votes

Out of all the versions of this story that have been adapted to the big screen this one has to be the best one, well in my opinion it is and t's definitely the most well known. Okay it may stray quite a bit from the source material (I've never read the original book), but who cares it's Disney and honestly I would place this in my personal top 10 fave Disney movies also. As for the Tim Burton version, well honestly I weren't too keen on it, I thought that it lacked the fun and imagination this one had. The concept and the wackiness of the story Alice as a character is really interesting. The way she reacts to all of the situations is very unique but extremely suitable for a young British girl. Every single side character is really memorable and everything about them shows how everyone involved with the movie has always been a high point for me with this, with it's bright and colourful animation that lights up from scene to scene, making every second more memorable than the next. Then we have the main character Alice herself voiced brilliantly by Kathryn Beaumont who also did Wendy in Peter Pan. I always found her interesting and the way she reacts to the situations is very unique and even the side characters were very memorable and a lot of fun, The Queen of Hearts was totally over the top and excellent, The Mad Hatter was just kooky and fun, The Cheshire Cat was a delight, even the White Rabbit was just loveable and fun. All of the actors managed to breathe so much life into this and the creators took so much care and time with this project that it pays off wonderfully and so well crafted, that makes this whole thing so much more wonderful.

Right then just 7 left now, same rules apply just vote for your least fave and the one with the most votes will be out by the next round which will be on 27th January 2016.

Snow White for me easily now. The others left are in my all-time favourites (with a few others that dropped out).

Another classic robbed by the 1990s kids. AIW is actually pretty true to the book (just grabs a good but from Through the Looking Glass too and drops characters such as the Duchess and the pig).

Looks like another Classic about to leave early - laughable.

I love Alice and totally agree that it's fantastic and should have survived a couple more rounds, but to me all the remaining are classics. If Frozen/Tangled were still there, I'd be really annoyed.

I'm just being grumpy. I was in my teens for the last four and so they were never going to excite me. Of the four, Aladdin is the best, then the Lion King, then the Little Mermaid and I really can't understand the love for Beauty and the Beast.

The Jungle Book was the one we always wanted to get re-released in the cinemas during the summer when I was really wee. Dunno how you lot can get rid of it!

Went with 101 Dalmatians because as fab as Cruella is, it's overstayed it's welcome.

The Jungle Book is okay, but it's not really as memorable. I don't get how some classics (Mulan) were eliminated before the top 10 and those two are still in. You're lucky Aladdin is still in or else I would have been screaming allegations of racism.

I saw The Jungle Book on some sort of cinema re-release when I was very young, it was the second film I ever saw in the cinema after a Peter Pan re-release <3

101 Dalmations for me now. Beyond the (admittedly incredible) villain I don't think it holds up to the measure of the others in this group.
