The Chainsmokers just casually saving the UK top 10 that week, when will your faves ever?

I was totally pissed off about the whole Ed situation, but a year later it's just hilarious to look back on. What are the bets that Ed will just troll the charts yet again in a few years with multiple instant grats entering at #2 then artificially falling straight out the top 100 a week later anyway?

Looking forward to today's new entries, and yes that includes Florida Georgia Line *___*

'Something Just Like This' is one of the worst songs in that top 10 tho. Would probably only rank 'Happier' and 'Supermarket Flowers' below it out of the Ed spam (and 'Dive' maybe about on par although tbh I don't really remember much about that one).

Looking at the 2013 retro, what happened to Bridgit Mendler? Not exactly complaining at her disappearance as 'Ready Or Not' was complete trash but surprising that we've seemingly heard nothing at all from her since then.

She followed it up with a single called 'Hurricane' that did absolutely nothing and that was that.

Surprisingly she is still releasing music, just singles though. Ironically one of them was called 'Do You Miss Me At All'. The answer here is a big 'no'.

Meghan Trainor
No Excuses

Information

Meghan returns with a tongue-in-cheek takedown of players and haters. - iTunes

Released: 1st March 2018
Label: Epic Records

Biography

Pop singer and songwriter Meghan Trainor had already devoted most of her life to music when she scored her first hit in 2014 (when she was 20 years old) with a dance-friendly paean to body positivity, "All About That Bass." Born in December 1993, Trainor was raised on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts, where she began making music when she was just seven, and wrote her first song at the age of 11. Trainor attended high school at the Nauset High School on Cape Cod; there she sang and played trumpet in the jazz band, and also studied guitar, taking lessons from Johnny Spampinato, noted guitarist with NRBQ and the Incredible Casuals. In addition, Trainor played guitar and keyboards, and sang with a local Nantucket band called Island Fusion for four years. She attended the Berklee College of Music's Performance Program, a special five-week course, in 2009 and 2010, receiving high marks and reaching the finals of their songwriting competition. By the time she was 18, Trainor had self-released three albums of her own material and landed a publishing deal with Big Yellow Dog Music (who placed her songs with artists such as Rascal Flatts, Macy Kate, Common Kings, and Sabrina Carpenter) before she signed a deal with Epic Records.

Trainor's first single for Epic was "All About That Bass," in which she proudly declared she's "no stick figure silicon Barbie doll," and "every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top." The pastel-colored video for "All About That Bass" became an online sensation, racking up over 1,600,000 views on YouTube within a month of its debut in June 2014. Soon, "All About That Bass" stormed up the Billboard Hot 100, reaching the pole position not only in the U.S. but throughout the world. As it racked up eight weeks on the top of the U.S. charts, it wound up getting certified five-times platinum, selling over four million copies in America alone; international sales reached over six million, cementing "All About That Bass"' status as one of the biggest singles of 2014. In comparison, its sequel, "Lips Are Moving," paled, but it was still a notable hit, reaching four on the Billboard charts and earning double-platinum certification, setting the stage nicely for the January 2015 release of Trainor's debut, Title. The album promptly hit number one in multiple countries. Her third single from the album, "Dear Future Husband," reached number 24 on the U.S. singles chart. A contribution to the Peanuts Movie soundtrack, a co-write on Rascal Flatts' single "I Like the Sound of That," and most significantly, a Grammy nomination, rounded out her impressive year.

A few weeks before the March 2016 release of "No," the first single from her second album, Trainor won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The following May, Trainor released her sophomore studio album, Thank You, which included the hits "No," "Me Too," and "Better" (featuring Yo Gotti). In 2017 she released the single "I'm a Lady," which appeared in that year's computer-animated adventure-comedy film Smurfs: The Lost Village.

Label: Sony Music Entertainment España

Biography

Danny Avila
Madrid's Danny Avila spins and produces a wide range of big room dance sounds, including electro-house, trance, and trap. Originally from Marbella, he started DJ'ing at the age of 12 and producing soon after. He moved to Madrid in order to become a DJ, and began spinning in the city's clubs before he was old enough to be admitted into them. His DJ skills and youthful energy caught the attention of superstar DJ Tiësto, who invited Avila to share the stage with him at Pacha Ibiza. Soon after, Avila began touring across the world with Tiësto and Calvin Harris, in addition to appearing at countless major EDM festivals. DJ Magazine included Avila's Big Room Mix CD with its September 2012 issue, making him the youngest artist to record a mix CD for the publication. He released a series of singles for labels like Big Beat Records, Spinnin' Records, and Dim Mak, as well as mixing the second disc of the 2013 double CD Ibiza Calling. Residencies in Barcelona and Las Vegas followed, as Avila frequently produced episodes of his Ready to Jump podcast series. Successful remixes for tracks by Gavin James and Tiësto were released in 2017, as well as "LOCO," a collaboration with Nervo. - iTunes

The Vamps
The Vamps are a British pop rock band consisting of Brad Simpson (lead vocals and guitar), James McVey (lead guitar and vocals), Connor Ball (bass guitar and vocals) and Tristan Evans (drums and vocals). They first gained fame in late 2012 with cover songs uploaded to YouTube, leading to comparisons with One Direction and being labelled as a boy band. They were signed to Mercury Records in November 2012. They supported McFly on their Memory Lane Tour in early 2013, and also performed at festivals around the UK as support acts for artists such as Demi Lovato, The Wanted, JLS, Little Mix and Lawson.

"Can We Dance" was released as The Vamps' debut single in September 2013, which peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart. Their second single "Wild Heart" was released on 18 January 2014 and peaked at number three. Their third single "Last Night" was released on UK radio on 24 February 2014 and digital download on 6 April 2014. Their debut album Meet the Vamps was released on 14 April 2014. In February 2014, the Vamps released "Wild Heart" as their debut single in the US and Canada.

The Vamps have launched their own record label Steady Records and they are working in partnership with EMI/Universal on the offshoot, and the first act signed was the American band The Tide. The Vamps released their second studio album Wake Up on 27 November 2015. The lead single from the album, "Wake Up", was released on 2 October 2015.

In 14 July 2017, The Vamps released the first part of their third studio album "Night & Day", the Night Edition, which debuted atop of the UK Albums Chart, becoming the band's first number one album.

Biography

Jorja Smith is an English R&B singer/songwriter whose soulful, jazz-tinged cadence, heartfelt lyrics, and retro sound invoke names like Alunageorge, Nao, Lulu James, and Amy Winehouse, the latter of whom the Walsall-based artist cites as her biggest influence. Smith issued her debut single, "Blue Lights," in 2015, but it was 2016's powerful "Where Did I Go?" that began turning heads. That track, and the follow-up single "Beautiful Little Fools," eventually culminated in the late-2016 release of Smith's debut EP, Project 11. The following year saw her international profile elevated via her multiple appearances on Drake's surprise playlist/LP More Life, which saw her holding court amongst a bevy of high-profile guests like Kanye West, Young Thug, 2 Chainz, and Travis Scott. - iTunes
