Corrie has been awful, the producer wants shooting. I hope Deidre wins her award though.

Best Actress: Nikki Sanderson (Hollyoaks), although I'd take Laurie Brett and Natalie Anderson would be a fabulous curveball winner. Alison King is great too but Corrie deserve nothing after this AWFUL year.
Best Actor: Michael Parr (Emmerdale) Best British Soap: Hollyoaks Best Villain: Jeremy Sheffield (Hollyoaks) Best Comedy: Sally Dynevor (Coronation Street) - pretty much the only actress who really makes the show deserve anything, she's saved the show this year really Best Newcomer: Twinnie Lee Moore (Hollyoaks) Best storyline: Who Killed Lucy (Eastenders) - howling at how awful the selections for Corrie and HO are! The latter was handled awfully... Best single episode: Easenders Live - really feels like they selected badly for the others so EE will surely win Best Dramatic Performance: Natalie Anderson (Emmerdale) Best On-Screen Partnership: Joe Duttine & Sally Dynevor (Coronation Street) - again Sally saves the show and Tim is good with her, DEAD at Tom and Peri being shortlisted for this though!!!!!!!! Best Young Performance: Ruby O'Donnell (Hollyoaks) - pretty this will be Bobby from EE but he doesn't deserve it tbh after basically just saying "whatever she said she started it" all year Scene Of The Year: Kathy Comes Home and the HO train crash both deserve it, but it'd be nice for Deirdre to win it too. I agree that Corrie has been awful, what they do deserve is because of one character being great really. |

#votehollyoaks? Sorry but we don't encourage voting agendas here x
I've added the full list of nominations to the first post. EE is the only soap I'm interested in so no point in me putting who I want to win! |

Want:
BEST SOAP Eastenders BEST ACTRESS Kellie Bright: Linda Carter - EastEnders BEST ACTOR Patrick Truman should have made this list. Adam Woodyatt: Ian Beale - EastEnders BEST NEWCOMER Ryan Hawley: Robert Sugden - Emmerdale SCENE OF THE YEAR Kathy Comes Home: EastEnders BEST COMEDY PERFORMANCE Laura Norton: Kerry Wyatt - Emmerdale BEST YOUNG PERFORMANCE Amelia Flanagan: April Windsor - Emmerdale BEST ON-SCREEN PARTNERSHIP Um, where's Mick & Linda??? Verity Rushworth & Michael Parr: Donna Windsor & Ross Barton - Emmerdale BEST DRAMATIC PERFORMANCE Natalie Anderson: Alicia Metcalfe - Emmerdale VILLAIN OF THE YEAR Not bothered about any on this list but I choose Nick because of EE and the fact he was actually nasty for the first week he returned John Altman: Nick Cotton - EastEnders BEST STORYLINE Who Killed Lucy? - EastEnders BEST SINGLE EPISODE Episode 5020 - Live Episode - EastEnders Think: BEST SOAP Eastenders BEST ACTRESS Kellie Bright: Linda Carter - EastEnders BEST ACTOR Adam Woodyatt: Ian Beale - EastEnders BEST NEWCOMER Sean Ward: Callum Logan - Coronation Street SCENE OF THE YEAR On the basis of it being a tribute to Deirdre/Anne. If not, Hollyoaks Deirdre Throws The Trifle: Coronation Street BEST COMEDY PERFORMANCE Sally Dynevor: Sally Webster - Coronation Street BEST YOUNG PERFORMANCE Ellie Leach: Faye Windass - Coronation Street BEST ON-SCREEN PARTNERSHIP Laurie Brett & Adam Woodyatt: Jane & Ian Beale - EastEnders BEST DRAMATIC PERFORMANCE Kellie Bright: Linda Carter - EastEnders VILLAIN OF THE YEAR Jeremy Sheffield: Patrick Blake - Hollyoaks BEST STORYLINE Who Killed Lucy? - EastEnders BEST SINGLE EPISODE Episode 5020 - Live Episode - EastEnders |

I'll actually be disappointed if Deirdre Throws The Trifle wins scene of the year. It would be a nice touch but it wouldn't be deserving in the slightest tbh.

Yeah, it would be a case of only being picked as a tribute. I know people say it's "iconic" but mainly for all the wrong reasons! Eastenders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks are all more deserving for their own individual reasons. If BSA continue the tradition of a stunt winning the award, then Hollyoaks are likely to win. Plus, Carmel's death is technically part of the nomination and who can forget the Ella Henderson's 'Yours' rocketing up iTunes after just the E4 episode! |

'Kathy Comes Home' is easy the most iconic soap moment in a long time.

Just finished watching the show. The winners were:
CODE BEST SOAP Hollyoaks Doctors Emmerdale Coronation Street Eastenders BEST ACTRESS Laurie Brett: Jane Beale - EastEnders Kellie Bright: Linda Carter - EastEnders Alison King: Carla Connor - Coronation Street Nikki Sanderson: Maxine Minniver - Hollyoaks Natalie Anderson: Alicia Metcalfe - Emmerdale BEST ACTOR Adam Woodyatt: Ian Beale - EastEnders Danny Dyer: Mick Carter - EastEnders Simon Gregson: Steve McDonald -Coronation Street Michael Parr: Ross Barton - Emmerdale David Neilson: Roy Cropper - Coronation Street BEST NEWCOMER Sean Ward: Callum Logan - Coronation Street Jessica Regan: Niamh Donoghue - Doctors Davood Ghadami: Kush Kazemi - EastEnders Ryan Hawley: Robert Sugden - Emmerdale Twinnie-Lee Moore: Porsche McQueen - Hollyoaks SCENE OF THE YEAR Deirdre Throws The Trifle: Coronation Street Strictly Dancing: Doctors Kathy Comes Home: EastEnders Donna’s Goodbye: Emmerdale The Train Crash: Hollyoaks BEST COMEDY PERFORMANCE Sally Dynevor: Sally Webster - Coronation Street Sarah Moyle: Valerie Pitman - Doctors Tameka Empson: Kim Fox-Hubbard - EastEnders Laura Norton: Kerry Wyatt - Emmerdale Fabrizio Santino: David ‘Ziggy’ Roscoe - Hollyoaks BEST YOUNG PERFORMANCE Ellie Leach: Faye Windass - Coronation Street Jack Carroll: Peter Harker - Doctors Eliot Carrington: Bobby Beale - EastEnders Amelia Flanagan: April Windsor - Emmerdale Ruby O’Donnell: Peri Lomax - Hollyoaks BEST ON-SCREEN PARTNERSHIP Sally Dynevor & Joe Duttine: Sally Webster & Tim Metcalfe - Coronation Street Ian Midlane & Jessica Regan: Al Haskey & Niamh Donoghue - Doctors Laurie Brett & Adam Woodyatt: Jane & Ian Beale - EastEnders Verity Rushworth & Michael Parr: Donna Windsor & Ross Barton - Emmerdale Ellis Hollins & Ruby O’Donnell: Tom Cunningham & Peri Lomax - Hollyoaks BEST DRAMATIC PERFORMANCE Simon Gregson: Steve McDonald - Coronation Street Lorna Laidlaw: Mrs Tembe - Doctors Kellie Bright: Linda Carter - EastEnders Natalie Anderson: Alicia Metcalfe - Emmerdale Keith Rice: Finn O’Connor - Hollyoaks VILLAIN OF THE YEAR Sean Ward: Callum Logan - Coronation Street Daniel Schutzmann: Franc Christophe - Doctors John Altman: Nick Cotton - EastEnders Ryan Hawley: Robert Sugden - Emmerdale Jeremy Sheffield: Patrick Blake - Hollyoaks BEST STORYLINE Steve & Michelle, Hearts and Minds - Coronation Street Kevin and Poppy (Underage Girlfriend) - Doctors Who Killed Lucy? - EastEnders Donna’s Demise Emmerdale John Paul’s Rape Ordeal - Hollyoaks BEST SINGLE EPISODE Rob’s Confession - Coronation Street Unfinished Business - Doctors Episode 5020 - Live Episode - EastEnders Andy goes to the brink - Emmerdale Ste’s HIV Diagnosis Hollyoaks Nothing I particularly disagree with there, which makes a change! I did think the producers were being a bit lazy this year in terms of the montage at the beginning - which I always look forward to but was kind of disappointed with this year - and the clips used for the nominations. However, I loved the tributes to Anne (Deidre) and John (Jim) - that montage of him and Dot! - and the Social Impact Recognition really was incredibly touching. I'm guessing it was Hollyoaks who were that fraction away from taking the Best Soap award, but that God Eastenders claimed it as it was incredibly deserved. |

I'm surprised about Scene of the Year with Kathy Comes Home, the Train Crash and Dierdre throwing the trifle all missing out.
