17 5.63 Ladies Night
Unfortunately in last place, we have the rather fun Ladies Night. The song is a cover of Kool & The Gang, recorded by the group's request for an updated version with female vocals. Atomic Kitten also titled the parent album Ladies Night in honour of the song. It peaked at #8 in the UK, outpeaking the original. This should be much higher IMO, a song I frequently go back to and enjoy a lot. However, it's not surprising that it came last, as it received 2 of the 5 -1 scores given out. 16 6.02 Follow Me The group's lowest charting single, and only non-top 10 (excluding the Anyone Who Had a Heart cover which I didn't even bother including in the rate), Follow Me almost saw Atomic Kitten dropped after its release. The song peaked at #20, after three minor top 10 hits. It was the following single that changed things for the group but more on that later. Follow Me was also the only single to be left off The Greatest Hits. It's a good song I think, not an Atomic Kitten classic but I enjoy it! 15 6.19 Right Now 2004 The original version of Right Now is still to come but the re-recorded version drops out here in 15th place. This was released as a double a-side with Someone Like Me as the group's last proper single. It was the only new track on The Greatest Hits. The production on this version is much more dance oriented rather than pure pop like the original. |

Ladies Night doesn't deserve to be at the bottom - I'll admit I didn't use to like it, but these days I think it's a good version.

"Right Now 2004" deserves bottom place, nowhere near as good as the original version, just feels so lazy. Also actually quite like "Ladies Night" for what it is, a tacky cover version. "Follow Me" is also nice enough, but not surprised at it's position here

Poor 'Ladies Night'. It's not their worst single, but I can see why it's ranked so low as I don't know anybody that "loves" it enough to give it a high score. I kinda expected that position for 'Follow Me', although it's unjust!

I'm really hoping 'You Are' can do as well as possible, it was really annoying seeing it get so many lowly scores.

Predictable winner but it is a wonderful song. I like how the top 10 turned out apart from Be With You, i would rate it much lower.

Surprised that "Eternal Flame" got so high, such a dire cover, "Whole Again" was definitely the rightful winner and glad that "Someone Like Me" made the top 10.

Atomic Kitten had some blinding singles.
You Are is ridiculously low here though. That's easily in their top 3. What a song. Someone Like Me is such a basic song but I've always liked it. Gorgeous melody. |
