This is a nice song and the last minute or so is gorgeous, but... did she really go and make this her debut single? Such a step down from the material she already had...

It's one of those scenarios where she's left it SO long she needed something proper killer, and this is just... nice I guess? Similar to Ella's second album or whatever she's doing with this "era", it's nice but you build up such expectations taking that long and when it's only "nice" it ends up being kind of a let down.

I guess she was in a slightly better position with XF/Syco having not gone completely off the rails at that point.  This seems totally different from the kind of songwriting from her songs on XF too. Will be very surprised if this does anything at all.  She should've just gone with a reworked version of Roots or Too Young oops

I quite like this, though it’s not as good as her X-Factor originals.
Too Young remains superb. |

I think it’s so much better! The X Factor originals were cheap with cringed lyrics, this just seems so much more professional!

The whole thing is just so frustrating, she had half a ready made album just there and waiting to be released and yet it's been completely wasted.
