'Piece of Me' is still slaying everyone, with 92% of tickets sold on the most recent leg of Britney's Vegas show.

There's a lot of buzz about Vegas shows just recently. Jennifer Lopez has been sniffing around the strip, performing the suspiciously titled "The Best Is Yet To Come" at http://www.thecolosseum.com/news/detail/12288/superstar-jennifer-lopez-to-give-incredible-live-performance-the-best-; Mariah Carey is said to be http://www.breatheheavy.com/5-reasons-why-mariah-carey-should-absolutely-perform-in-las-vegas/ too. There's talk of who'd be better suited, and why this http://www.breatheheavy.com/lets-just-assume-jlo-and-mariah-carey-both-have-vegas-residencies/ move for either of the divas but let's be real - the fact that they're considering it at all is thanks to Miss American Dream herself. In the last year, Britney blazed a trail for young, working artists to perform on Vegas stages and it turns out she's still making some serious cash with her residency.

See just how much dough she raked in on the last leg of 2014:

Britney's four shows at the end of December (the 27th, 28th, 30th and 31st) raked in http://www.billboard.com/biz/current-boxscore of $2,799,641 and selling 16,895 of a possible 18,221 tickets, she ended the month 92% sold out. It's interesting to note too that Britney pulled in a whopping $700,000 per performance, in comparison J Lo managed a stellar, but much less impressive, $410,000.

Having already performed 57 shows in the year beforehand, these kind of figures are no mean feat. After the first two legs of the show sold out, critics were quick to claim that her sales represented the novelty of her act and that they'd soon dip. Well here we are, 12 months later, the novelty's worn off, and the Queen of hair-flips and watermelon bubblegum is still coming out on top.

The show picks up again this month, and it seems like she may be http://britneyspears.breatheheavy.com/britney-dropped-by-the-dance-studio-again/ (I mean at this point she could be rehearsing for another Twister ad for all I know, but it's nice to dream) so we'll be waiting to see how well a revamped (?) 'Piece of Me' sells into the new year.

But if I know Britney (which I suppose I don't but, again, don't kill my dreams) I would imagine her sales reign will carry on well into 2015, especially with a new single promised this side of the summer and an album sure to follow. ('Britney Jean' who?)

And if some new girls show up on the block, we'll be waiting to see who's the last one standing. But I know where my money is.

This really puts the sales 'dip' in perspective - glad to see Godney's still slaying and I reckon the new album will be good promo .

And Aly I believe you are right. Minus the Britney era. She was ranked the most powerful woman in the world 2001-2002. And she raked in over 11 million on the pepsi adverts alone.

The show must go on!

During the opening number of her Piece Of Me show on Wednesday, Britney told the audience to "bare with her" because she's "a little bit under the weather."

Some fans think it's unprofessional for Brit Brit to tell ticket purchasers that, but some fans also live in mommy and daddy's basement. It's rare Britney goes off script, even if it's just a quick blurb about how she's feeling, so if the Queen wants to tell you she's ill, Godammit you pray you catch it!

Be lucky she didn't cancel altogether.

Wish I could get 39 000 000 for miming and zombie stamping across a stage!!

She should just do this I think - 39 000 000 pre tax per year! She doesn't have to be forced into makin music and just goin through the motions with a cd again. The record company would be happy, she'd be (more or less) happy, and she could try to salvage her legacy by slooowly working on a kick-ass final retirement album like ITZ.

Finally saw her after 4x of going to Vegas without seeing her - although I think she was only actually playing once when I went down.
The show was amazing - I went on the Labour Day Weekend but it was PACKED in there. Pretty much a sold out show.

I was amazed by her set - probably one of the best sets I've seen.
She was on point with her dancing, although my only criticism would have been that she should have re-recorded some of her vocals to sing a long to. I wouldn't expect her to sing live, I mean, come on it's Britney.. but a lot of the tracks just had the existing album vocals.. most of the instrumentals were re-worked, but I could have just brought my iPod and listened to that and watched the entire show.

Britney’s Piece Of Me is the highest grossing show at a single location in the game right now. Brit recently kicked off a revamped, reimagined, remixed version of Piece Of Me in Las Vegas, and her changes paid off.

Billboard updated their current Boxscore numbers for her Feb. 13-14, 17, 19-20, 24, and 26-27 dates, which resulted in $4,007,691 gross sales and the No. 1 spot on their chart. On those days, Piece Of Me filled 28,540 of the total 34,488 seats available over the eight dates.

We’d also like to tip our hat to Jennifer Lopez, whose new show All I Have claims the No. 2 spot with $3,697,602 gross sales for her Feb. 3, 5, 6, and 9 show dates. All four performances were sold out, filling the 17,658 seats available over the course of the four dates.

It's so far away from when I'm seeing her. I have pretty much the best seats that aren't platinum/VIP/Standing though I think so I'm so excited.

The setlist is pretty much perfect right now, I just hope she doesn't get rid of any of my favs by the time September rolls round.

I'd currently replace I Love Rock and Roll, Pretty Girls and Freakshow with Lucky, I Wanna Go and Hold It Against Me though.

I love the Freakshow performance; the choreography for the first chorus is great and she's extending her arms now compared to the first leg so it looks cleaner.

I am needing for her to add Get Naked, that'd make me happy. I know it's not gonna happen but one can dream.
