Do they really have any competition in terms of girl groups (or even groups in generally now that One Direction is done) anymore? They could probably release whatever they wanted right now and it would be a huge hit.

I don't think they do tbh - they're the only Western pop group I can think of that's really active atm, so that could really work in their favour.

I'm so perched for this. They've been sorely missed on radio for me (in that regard, I'm actually glad they didn't release a single from the reissue). SOTME was great, but I'm really hoping they come back with something a bit more innovative like 'Move'.

Odd criticism. I'd say most of their songs are undeniably Little Mix. I even hear 'this sounds like a LM song' banded around a lot across forums. Besides, a dance collab is hardly indicative of the soundscape of LM5 (see: just about every other artist that's featured on a DJ's track).

I haven’t seen an actual confirmation of the Bieber song coming tonight other than someone on Pulse saying it probably is but even if it does this should still get off to a good start and can maybe grow and take #1 eventually. If not it should still be a nice Top 5 hit for them that will likely continue their run of platinum singles.

Ha, the verses, bridge and drop (especially the production) all have similarities to Anywhere to my ears.

This is such a weak ‘Anywhere’.

The drop is actully horrific and doesn’t really fit with the song as a whole. It will no doubt be a top three hit but it’s nowhere near as good as their previous singles. Leigh-Anne actually SLAYS in this. I’m sure it will grow like most Little Mix songs do for me (excluding touch) but the drop is actually painful.

I wish it had a better ending that felt like some kind of crescendo but other than that, I’m absolutely loving this. In a week where several artists seem to have disappointed with left of field tracks, this delivers superbly just being generic and doing it bloody well. They sound great and I love the beat drop.

It's got a real uplifting quality, naturally the same that Anywhere had, so it's connected with me on that same level. I don't really care if it's derivative. I honestly expected an easy top 10 debut in the official charts and a #1 peak on iTunes considering how low sales are so I’m actually rather disappointed by the performence. I’m guessing it could miss the top 20, I know it was #8 on NMF but their name alone is huge in the UK

They’ve never really dont great on Spotify though. SOTME was the only song of theirs that started off super strong and that’s because of how hyped it was. I don’t see why they would waste their comeback song on a collab and then even further not bother to secure immediate Spotify support. Sure the song can and probably will rebound but this is rough.

Yeah, the sheer indifference has been kind of appalling. No Spotify playlist support, no radio interviews — hell, R1 still haven’t even given it a spin. I’m sorta’ wishing they hadn’t bothered, because regardless of whether this takes off or not, it’s still going to detract hype from the LM5 lead.

I kind of feel that the single campaign is going to be run by Cheat Codes. It sounds bizarre but Syco probably want this to be a middling hit (like Came Here for Love as has been mentioned) just to keep the name out there but not to take all the glory from the proper 5th album campaign.

This actually isn’t doing too badly on Apple Music (its at 41) which just goes to show how much the lack of playlist support is contributing to its dismal Spotify performance. And for a song with minimal radio support (I know Capital is playing it some but most days when it look it doesn’t seem like they’ve played it more that a couple times a day), it’s holding up alright on iTunes.

Once the video comes out and they get it on Hot Hits UK and Radio 1 it should take off. From their tweets it seems like the video has been filmed already so it shouldn’t be more than a couple weeks

If you look at this as a Cheat Codes song, #122 is very good going at this stage, isn't it? (considering the small playlist promotion and decent-ish airplay)

I can understand why some may be disappointed due to LM name being attached to it, but I really don't believe that even Syco would f*** up their first week release by not promoting it on big playlists etc..! so it's good going all things considered.

I'm really enjoying this and the vocal parts in particular are excellent, although I feel the drop slightly ruins the momentum. The song's been compared a lot to Anywhere and I get the comparisons entirely, but that had such a flowing, euphoric drop, this one feels clunkier. I'm getting used to it with repeated listens though and it's such a cute, lighthearted track.

Yeah after rinsing this for a week, I'd consider it a nice enough track but nowhere near the quality of the GD singles. That being said, it sounds incredible in the sun and I'd be genuinely surprised if it doesn't take off, despite the unusually slow start. Here's hoping R1 add it tomorrow.

Meh, that’s roughly where I expected when the first midweeks were revealed. Shame we were all so off with our original predictions, but I think everyone was expecting a lot more hype around this.

I generally love anything Little Mix put their name to, but this isn't essential listening for me (yet.) I'm not surprised it hasn't debuted high, but that's not to say it won't climb (and they deserve another smash so fingers crossed.)

It’s a joint credited single where they’ve filmed a video and I’ll be on (probably just deluxe version of) the album, so it definitely is their first new material in a while. Even if the buzz isn’t as big as usual.

I like the song, but for some reason I’ve not felt compelled to play it a lot like I usually do with Little Mix singles!

This all feels strangely low-key and unlike Jonjo I’m not sensing that this’ll grow into a hit of Came Here for Love proportions, although I’d be happy to be proven wrong!

Agree with Joe in that this being a joint credit means it technically should be regarded as main Little Mix material, it’s less easy to sweep aside a joint credit than it would be if they were merely “feat. Little Mix”.

I definitely hope it’s not going to end up being a Rise situation (as Andrew mentioned) that takes comeback hype away from their next offering... we’ll see!

I think we need to start treating this as a Cheat Codes song. It took 5 weeks for No Promises to crack the Spotify top 50 with an equally popular feature (albeit maybe not as much in the UK but Demi still definitely has Spotify power).

The fact this is rising well on iTunes without a discount shows promise this is a well liked song and it has potential.

They have been. Reggaeton Lento was and so were Touch and Shout Out but Power wasn't and I don't think No More Sad Songs was either. They usually enter pretty far down the list and never manage to make it much higher. I think Touch actually made it up pretty high and was rising well in the US and globally but then just kind of fizzled out.

Black Magic and LMLY were both there too, the latter for a very short time though.

I mean, I've always thought this would do about as well as No Promises did and it's looking at getting a similar peak already, baring in mind that peaked at #18, so I'd say this has done fine enough although I'd like to see it push top 15. As I've said before, whether they're billed a lead artist or not, there's no feel about this whatsoever that it's a Little Mix comeback and I don't see it harming them one bit.

I wouldn't say it's gone completely unnoticed, I've heard it quite a few places over the summer (it really goes off in a club setting, but I guess most songs do. ), plus radio have been absolutely hammering it so that helps. But yeah, #13 seems a pretty fitting peak.

This was a success and was a good move to tide them over, certainly not an embarrassment like some of you are making it out to be! It was only to remind people that they existed. The general public often forget about pop acts like Little Mix if they have too long away from releasing things or whatever. Also I'm gonna argue that this has put interest back in the brand slightly. People didn't realise how much they missed Little Mix and their brand of pop imo. It was a nice move imo. It was limited promo wise and didn't receive the support we all thought it would right off the bat (excluding airplay, which has been incredible for them). I feel like it was enough to whet the publics appetite a bit and to remind people that they are still going after 9 months or so away!
