Great to see the EPs by James Blake, JPEGMAFIA, Shygirl and Disclosure.
Disclosure really came back with some strong singles this year- I did like “Ecstasy” and like you say it gave a promising flavour of what would be the album that they would go on to release in 2020. : ) |

I listened to none of those EPs unfortunately I have heard quite a few songs from the Bring Me The Horizon one though, certainly very varied and some good stuff on it although Kingslayer definitely isn't one I want to go back to in the forseeable future

Have kept you waiting for too long. First off, I had university work. Then, I wanted to listen to a few bonus tracks that RateYourMusic listed for albums I've listened to, but I kept putting that off. There was also me trying to keep up with the music of today. Now is the time that I put it up. Here's my Top 50 Songs Of 2020!
#50. I See Your Ghost by The Lathums [Album: Ghosts EP] #49. Olympik by EOB [Album: Earth] #48. Please Complete Thee by King Krule [Album: Man Alive!] #47. Walk by Nadine Shah [Album: iamspamspamamiSink] #46. Sometimes I Am Pharaoh by JARV IS [Album: Beyond The Pale] #45. Take Back The Track by The Magic Gang [Album: Death Of The Party] #44. SUCKAPUNCH by You Me At Six [Album: SUCKAPUNCH] * #43. Caution by The Killers [Album: Imploding The Mirage] #42. Key West (Philosopher Pirate) by Bob Dylan [Album: Rough And Rowdy Ways] #41. High by Romare [Album: Home] #40. After Hours by The Weeknd [Album: After Hours] #39. 2 Far Gone by Moses Boyd feat. Joe Armon-Jones [Album: Dark Matter] #38. Last 100 by Tom Misch and Yussef Dayes [Album: What Kinda Music] #37. Jeanette by Kelly Lee Owens [Album: Inner Song} #36. exile by Taylor Swift feat. Bon Iver [Album: folklore] #35. I Will by Eminem feat. KXNG CROOKED, Royce Da 5’9” and Joell Ortiz [Album: Music To Be Murdered By] #34. Primp & Shrine by NZCA Lines [Album: Pure Luxury] #33. They told us it was hard but they were wrong by Ela Minus [Album: Acts Of Rebellion] #32. Persuaders Up! by Oh Sees [Album: Protean Threat] #31. Sad Cowboy by Goat Girl [Album: On All Fours] * #30. Forever Droppin Tears by Conway The Machine feat. ElCamino [Album: From King To A GOD] #29. Snow Day by Shame [Album: Drunk Tank Pink] * #28. The Terrors by Psychedelic Porn Crumpets [Album: SHYGA! The Sunlight Mound] * #27. Hallucination Express by Sepehr [Album: Shaytoon] #26. 1000 Miles by Machinedrum feat. Sub Focus [Album: A View Of U] I also recommend you check out the Vocal Mix of “2 Far Gone” with Katy B in it, even though it doesn’t have the smooth saxophone of Joe Armon-Jones. Walking in the snow by Run The Jewels [Album: RTJ4] Remember when I added the album version of Fontaines DC’s “Boys In The Better Land” on my Top 50 Songs Of 2019 list despite the original recording coming out in 2018. Yeah! I’m cheating with my #10 pick again, since I prefer the album version of “Borderline” over the original single version. If I had to replace it with another track from The Slow Rush, I would go for “One More Hour”. And my number one song of 2020: #1. Living In America by Fontaines DC [Album: A Hero’s Death] This post has been edited by DalekTurret32: 12th June 2021, 03:49 PM |
