Afternoon all I am enjoying 'Anywhere' and 'Gorgeous' quite a bit at the moment so I look forward to hearing them on the show today.
Retro chart top 3s: 2016 01. Clean Bandit feat. Sean Paul & Anne-Marie - 'Rockabye' ~ the beginning of the 'Rockabye' dominance this is one of my favourite Clean Bandit singles! 02. The Weeknd feat. Daft Punk - 'Starboy' 03. The Chainsmokers feat. Halsey - 'Closer' 2012 01. Adele - 'Skyfall' 02. Calvin Harris feat. Florence Welch - 'Sweet Nothing' 03. PSY - 'Gangnam Style' you know this was a pretty poor week when 'Hottest Girl In The World' was on the brink of making my top 3. 2007 01. Britney Spears - 'Gimme More' 02. Take That - 'Rule The World' 03. Timbaland feat. OneRepublic - 'Apologize' ...on the other hand this is a very good 2007 week *.* the beginning of the Leona vs. Take That battle! The latter were so unlucky to be stuck behind the juggernaut that was 'Bleeding Love'. Still a massive hit in its own right though. 2002 01. Las Ketchup - 'The Ketchup Song (Asereje)' 02. P!nk - 'Just Like A Pill' 03. Avril Lavigne - 'Complicated' Shoutout to 'Like I Love You' by JT here as well *.* the Justified era was solid. 1997 01. Dario G - 'Sunchyme' 02. Spice Girls - 'Spice Up Your Life' 03. Sash! feat. LeTrec - 'Stay' Static top 3. 'Sunchyme' still the best song of all this week~ |

Looking like quite a bumper week for new entries then with definite entries from Taylor Swift, Rita Ora and Liam Payne - plus possible entries from Krept & Konan, MK, Anne-Marie, Portugal. The Man, 21 Savage and NF.

Wow at Rule The World vs Bleeding Love being a decade ago, I remember going into town on my uni break to buy both singles on the Monday, I had no idea they were both going to attract such giant sales and was blown away by those figures for two 'normal songs', as opposed to charity/X Factor coronation singles which were the only sort of songs that usually attracted such sales.
It's a rare week that two songs that will go on to become 'all-time classics' are released simultaneously but this was certainly one of them. I have always preferred Rule The World and it's a shame it wasn't released a week earlier really, considering the amount of #1 singles they've had it's odd that one of their most famous songs missed out. |

NF Let You Down Perception | 2017 Chart Run NE (02/11/2017) | 40 Information Released: 15th September 2017 Label: Capitol Records Chart sales: - Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio TBA Sales TBA Streaming Video Biography NF is the stage name of rapper and composer Nate Feuerstein from Gladwin, Michigan. Feuerstein endured a hardship-filled childhood in which his parents divorced, his mother's boyfriend physically abused him, and his mother eventually killed herself. Music was his escape, and he began recording songs on a karaoke machine, with instrumentals on one microphone and his raps in the other. Placing second in a nationwide Fine Arts Festival rap competition in 2008, and first in Michigan the following year, he independently released a debut album, Moments, in 2010. The album attracted the attention of Xist Music, which signed him to a recording deal in 2012, by which time Feuerstein had taken on the stage name NF. The label announced the release of an EP that same year, but it never appeared, and NF and Xist parted ways. NF spent the next two years looking for a label and working with local producer Tommee Profitt in his studio; they came up with the song "Wake Up," which convinced Capitol Christian Music Group to sign him. CMG released a six-song (including a Manny Marroquin remix of "Wake Up") self-titled EP late in the summer of 2014. His debut album, Mansion, was released in early 2015 and reached number 62 on the Billboard 200 while topping the Christian Albums chart. The aptly titled Therapy Session followed in 2016 and also topped the Christian Albums chart with its raw emotions and honest lyrics. The following Summer saw the release of the singles "Outro" and "Green Lights", in anticipation of the arrival of his third studio long player, Perception, whch dropped later that October. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History 2017 40 Let You Down -1- Social Media |

Well 8 new entries on today's show is pleasing! Although I hope the remaining new entries are better than 'Let You Down' as this is pretty dull.
