With it looking likely 'Golden' will be single #3, this will be the first time Kylie has released a title track as a single. I would definitely rank 'Aphrodite' as my favourite title track. It was criminal that this wasn't a single, considering that it's not only one of the best tracks on the album, but it's one her finest songs of her career. Why 'Better Than Today' was chosen over this remains a mystery, this could have been a much bigger hit, imagine what kind of music video this could have had, along with some fantastic live performances and with the promo 'BTT' had, this could have easily done better.
This is how I'd rank all the album title tracks = 1. Aphrodite 2. Light Years - Another lost classic and potential smash. 3. Fever 4. Golden 5. It sounded great and got a massive crowd reaction on the Anti tour.
It is so disappointing that Kylie did not release either a live cd of the Anti tour or a dvd. The cd would have been preferable as it is likely the nearest we would get to a rarities/b style album. |
