Out in sixth is a bit of a shocker. During the early rounds S Club 7 were looking very safe but the tables turned during round 5. 'Never Had A Dream Come True' managed to sneak one week at number one in December 2000 - selling 144,000 copies in its first week - and became S Club 7's first UK number one since their debut single. Furthermore, it became the group's first and only entry on the US Billboard Hot 100 - reaching Number 10. I wonder what caused this of all their songs to become a hit Stateside. The song is an undeniable childhood classic for the generation who grew up around the turn of the millennium but the song has been well overplayed to the point I find it difficult to appreciate. The group have far better songs too. The Buzzjack's Favourite Noughties Single: The Final Rate is now open! VOTE HERE! 06. S Club 7 - Never Had A Dream Come True [34.15%] 14 out of 41 votes 07. Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake - 4 Minutes [41.46%] 17 out of 41 votes 08. Room 5 feat. Oliver Cheatham - Make Luv [33.33%] 12 out of 36 votes 09. Alexandra Burke feat. Flo Rida - Bad Boys [31.43%] 11 out of 35 votes 10. Westlife - You Raise Me Up [28.95%] 11 out of 39 votes |

Not sure Teenage Dirtbag surviving was worth it at the expense of S Club. Never Had A Dream Come True is perhaps my fave from them.

That S Club 7 song is just one of those inoffensive songs no one really loves or hates. So it'll appear to be doing really well initially in this type of game until one of the latter rounds when everyone's big faves are left and it'll be booted out quite convincingly... Pretty much as I predicted but did think it'd last 1 or 2 more rounds. That would have been my next pick after Valerie anyway so no huge close. We're only a Valerie away from me switching to Wheatus h8trs! |

Teenage Dirtbag in the top 5 I didn't expect to lose S Club so soon, but no loss. It's cute, but inessential.

Never knew that S Club 7 song did that well in the US! Such a random one as well.
SOS for me, adore Rihanna, but definitely not in my top 30 favourite Rihanna songs. |

SOS is the weakest remaining for me. It’s fun enough though.
