YouGov’s MRP model - I wonder if they'll do another run of this?

My mental state isn't prepared for next week. The pessimist in me remains convinced that Johnson will get at least a semi-decent majority. This post has been edited by blacksquare: 7th December 2019, 04:54 PM |

Wow just a 6% difference. Think that would be HP territory. It's going to be an exciting night!

I'd love it after all the sh!te that Johnson has pumped out throughout this campaign that he ends up with less seats
I doubt it will happen as the uprising of right wing biggots is rife at the moment, but would certainly make for an interesting night This post has been edited by ElectroBoy: 7th December 2019, 04:55 PM |

My mental state isn't prepared for next week. The pessimist in me remains convinced that Johnson will get at least a semi-decent majority. Omfg!!!add the margin of error and a youthquake, plus the fact no government since the 19th century has expanded votes on its four innings, and... have faith. Don't let the vidcappers and hard right and far right tories get you down. |

Caution: that poll is using a slightly different methodology to another poll that came out from the same organisation today which showed an 8 point lead (this 6 point lead one was commissioned by a group called 'RemainUnited' so take with a very large grain of salt). Although an 8 point lead is still on the precipice of maybe a hung parliament if we're very lucky so... it's better news than most polls.

Yeah, the rest of the polls are still in the 11 point lead territory.
Like this one: CON: 44% (-1) LAB: 33% (+1) LDEM: 11% (-4) BREX: 3% (-) via @DeltapollUK Chgs. w/ 30 Nov The problem with that 6-point lead one appears to be that it didn't prompt for candidates standing in your constituency, which leads to situations where (as an example) someone would want to vote for the Farage fanclub but not have the option to and choose Con instead, polls at this stage in the campaign are all including questions based on who's standing in your area. |

It's because he knows there's a very significant proportion of people who will vote Tory on the single issue of Brexit no matter how toxic the rest of their policy is. And it'll work, sadly.

Quite frightening how willing we are to elect politicians for a full term in Parliament based on a single policy that is actively going to make the country weaker, while nothing else they say or do will cause their support to drop. Indoctrination combined with political apathy is a hell of a drug.
