01. 'I Will Be There' >> Yep. It just had to be a single. Would have continued her bubblegum pop era very nicely! <<

02. 'Where Are You Now' >> How this wasn't the big ballad single for this album, I really don't know! THOSE VOX! *.* <<

03. 'Toy Soldier' >> This should have been the 5th single from this album (following the rightful single choice of 'Radar'). The production and slick vocals on this track would have smashed on the radio ("bet I penned it" etc...) <<

04. 'Amnesia' >> Echoing the sentiments that this should have been the 3rd single over 'If U Seek Amy', but nope. They went and messed it all up. BLERGH. <<

05. 'Unusual You' >> This should have been the rightful follow up to 3rd single 'Amnesia' and been something completely different, yet SO BRITNEY, that radio would completely lap up. Would have been interesting to see how this would have fared for her! <<

06. 'How I Roll' >> Similar situation to 'Unusual You'! So different for her, but again still so typical Britney! The video really would have been phenomenal I reckon! Should have been 3rd after 'Til the World Ends'! <<

07. 'Now That I Found You' >> Easy smash right there I think. Too soon to jump into 'Perfume' after 'Work Bitch' I think! NTIFY would have done better, radio wise and setting her up nicely for 'Perfume' to be a moderate 3rd single hit! <<

So many tracks I ADORE: 'Shadow' (following 'Breathe On Me' and '(I Got That) Boom Boom' it maybe would have worked, but most certainly not straight after 'Everytime'), 'Hot As Ice', 'Trip To Your Heart' or 'Quicksand' as quick examples; but I'm really not sure HOW well they would fare as singles.

Baby One More Time = "Deep In My Heart"

Oops I Did It Again = Firstly release "Stronger" as the second single, then "Where Are You Now" for the 3rd release and X-Mas market and for the 4th and possible 5th releases "Can't Make You Love Me" and have maybe "Lucky" for the final single.

Britney = "Let Me Be" as the 2nd or 3rd, "Anticipating" instead of Boys and "Cinderella" as the 5th.

In The Zone = "Breathe On Me" and "I Got That Boom, Boom"

"And Then We Kiss" with proper music video and promo to push the remix album, both of which could have smashed.

Blackout = "Toy Soldier" and "Hot As Ice".

Circus = "Kill The Lights" as the 3rd single and "Unusual You" as the 4th.

Femme Fatale = Inside Out or How I Roll as the 4th single.

Britney Jean = "Passenger" should have been the 2nd single instead of "Perfume" as that's more of a grower, then "Alien" as the 3rd single, and for the 4th then maybe "Perfume"

Am I the only one who thinks Hold On Tight would've made a much better downtempo single than Perfume? Its just so on point.

No, I think so too.

Work Bitch, Alien and Hold On Tight are the 3 songs that were worth a release from Britney Jean, imo.

As much as I adore 'HOT', I didn't really see it doing much. Maybe with some PROMOTION.

'Alien' is the song i return to most from 'Britney Jean' wub.gif I would have liked it to follow 'Perfume', which despite not doing well commercially, i think was the right choice at the time. Whatever followed 'Work Bitch' was doomed to flop i think sad.gif

Bal, I'm assuming you've heard 'And Then We Kiss', correct?

I don't actually think i have! Listened just now though and it's pretty big sounding. The production is sublime <3

I don't think even 'Perfume' was doomed to flop, but after they decided interesting videos weren't what Britney should be doing anymore, its fate was sealed.

I definitely agree with that sentiment. Though, I think the true nail in the coffin was the total of ZERO promotional performances.

Hopefully it was a learning experience that she can no longer move huge units off her name alone. The next era needs at least Circus sized promotion in order to reignite interest in her from new audiences.

ALSO. Bring back Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant, Dr. Luke and Danja.

They REALLY thought they could pull a 2011, when Hold It Against Me topped the BB HOT 100 while Britney was fishing with her family. Ahhh, those golden years.

Any other fans of this?

Not sure it would have made a good single AT ALL but yeah. The middle-8 / "boy come over wid yo sexy ass" bit is my favourite part of the whole album wub.gif

DDB is great.

It would be single material if you were to replace Sabi with a competent rapper.
