Adele makes her grand entrance at number one!
Congratulations to Adele, who says Hello to the number one spot! Hello is the first single off her third album 25. Consequently, Weird People falls one place to #2, and Love Me Like You makes the same movement to #3. MNEK & Zara Larsson continue progressing in the chart, with Never Forget You climbing a further three places to reach a new peak of #4. Take Me Home slides one place to #5. Runnin' (Lose It All) falls three places to #6, while Wildest Dreams continues its excellent run, falling one place to #7. Writing's On The Wall climbs back a place to #8, Jaded falls 4 places to #9 and Alive slides two places to #10. Other entries and notable tracks Take That is the second highest new entry, with Hey Boy starting at #22. After What A Wonderful World entering a fortnight ago (it falls 2 places to #39 this week), Louis Armstrong scores another entry with We Have All The Time In The World at #33, following the release of Spectre. Lost & Found is a new entry at #48. Capitalising on both the Spectre effect and the Adele effect, Skyfal zooms up 45 places to #54. Set Fire To The Rain is also new at #85. After making mostly terrible music for the last 5 years, Justin Bieber has finally gotten his act together. Here, he also apologizes, presumably for the horror that was Baby, and he reaches #69 with Sorry, the highest he has ever got in this chart so far. This Woman's Work is the final new entry at #71, following Seann Miley Moore's performance of it at Judges Houses on The X Factor. There are also two re-entries. The first comes from Years & Years, with Take Shelter, at #97. The second, by Simon & Garfunkel, is Bridge Over Troubled Water, which returns to the chart, at #100, after a 28 week absence. |
