I think they used Late & Live as a sort of platform to decide if they wanted them on Celeb BB - could definitely see Danny Beard and/or The Vivienne on there, maybe Fleur East too.
I can’t bring myself to be that excited because C5 CBB was by and large awful and I just don’t trust ITV to cast well. There were a lot of issues with this BB series just gone so hopefully they fix those. Some of the guests they’ve clearly been testing with Late and Live to be housemates would be good, I’d love to see Mae Muller and Danny/Viv. I’d love if they got one of the chaotic TikTok stars but I feel like they’ll get GKBarry or Max Balegde.
I thought C5 CBB was great?! It’s all they were good at doing, they f***ed the main series but the celeb series was must watch most of the time!
Honestly a good half of the series when I look back really weren’t that good imo, and the Gary Busey and Bear series were probably the two worst of BB’s entire run. Although maybe it was more that C5 had so many issues with how they handled the show I fell out of love with it a bit so the bloat of 2 CBB seasons a year was a bit much and I just didn’t enjoy them, it’s more towards the end I really wasn’t keen.
I loved CBB on Channel 5, so I’m looking forward to it.

Louis Walsh is a far more exciting name than Joey Essex - who we've seen in about 1000 reality tv shows at this point.

Louis is vile and is only a "character" when the cameras are on (mostly - ask Mel B.....). He quite often bullied and belittled a lot of the people he worked with (mostly the women!) and is a misogynistic & sexist pig. Didn't he say Girls Aloud needed to "lose weight" if they wanted to be successful and APPLAUDED THEM "for not being fat anymore. Brilliant. That's great." in 2004 and said he would [say it] again if he had to? Has an on-going rivalry with Cheryl which included sly digs & calling her "talentless" - which is rich coming from a man who doesn't do a damn thing. Literally said he didn't want the girl group during "Popstars - The Rivals" because... "Girls don't like each other in bands - it's very simple. They all want to be the lead girl." Jedward have even labelled him as toxic and two-faced.
I wish I was as excited about Louis going into BB as some of you are, basically.

I mean, if we're going to get a reality TV star (and I expect we will and honestly, I don't mind if we do as long as there's not loads), I'm happier for it to be someone who hasn't done loads before as opposed to Joey Essex and the likes. At least she'd be a fresh face of sorts.
Also rumoured they're in talks with four Drag Race stars, assuming we'll get one, idk if it'll be any of these four but the ones rumoured (outside of Cheddar from a few weeks ago) are Bimini Bon Boulash, Baga Chipz, Blu Hydrangea and Tayce. I could see Bimini being a really interesting different personality to add to the mix.
As long as it’s not Blu for Drag Race She’s currently doing Dancing With The Stars in Ireland so I’m unsure she’d do this presumably right after, or even during as it just premiered last week and I assume it would be 8 or 9 weeks long at least, so it would be cutting it fine to be on this if she were to make it to the end, or she could do a Jamie Lynn Spears if she goes before the end and there was no obligation to be at the final.
I could see Baga, seems plausible, I think Bimini or Tayce would be more interesting picks.

It just feels extra short with no Saturday shows.
Yeah seems like a standard length - I think some of the Channel 5 series' were about a month long. But 3/4 weeks is standard for a Celeb Series.
Although some of the earlier celeb series were like a week/ 2 weeks long
But surely 4th to 22nd of March is only 19 days?

It’s hard to call because obviously in the past the Tory vote went well for Henry last series and Jordan ended up winning. I can definitely see Gary as one of the first to go but wouldn’t be surprised if ZeZe was the first evictee if she was to face the public vote.

Fair regarding Henry's time in the house but Jordan definitely isn't a Tory, if I'm reading that correctly (he never expressed so in the house and I think all that came of his political digital footprint was writing anti-Conservative poetry lol) - I think most fans of his just connected with his dry sense of humour, Gary has more dad joke type humour lol. You'd think he would go and I do hope he does, but yeah who knows if ZeZe is up and gets a villain edit. I'm sure Ekin will be fine if she's up at least!
Also Henry was rank outsider initally and it wasn't until he'd stayed a while when he became more and more popular. Basically when we actually saw his personality. I don't think you can out his popularity down to being a Tory. If anything that would go against you - certainly did with Henry to begin with.
Henry obviously said himself he was though But I’ve just realised again that the civilian series was actually vote to evict so it’s more people didn’t vote enough to get rid of them rather. This series being save it may potentially change some things.

I think Ekin-Su or David will win, maaaaybe Bradley. Ekin could just as easily go the other way but I think she definitely has potential to win. It’s such an odd trajectory but I feel like she’s either winning or having a huge downfall and be like 3rd out.

I think this has probably had a stronger start to what the last civilian series had as well. Gary was no real loss for me im pleased he did actually leave tonight though, he may have gone further on I’m A Celebrity possibly as I think older audiences might’ve liked him more but I don’t think many core CBB viewers are fond of the royal family in fairness

Based on what has been shown of Ekin-Su so far, I haven’t got a good first impression of her at all. How she spoke to Colson the other day was really off, and her stirring was giving mean girl energy. Oh well there’s still time for her to turn it around so I’m open to eventually understanding what her fans see in her.
Caught up now and yes that was golden I definitely feel like I would've been like Bradley/David in trying to hold back laughter during a silent, awkward situation

Louis to be fair is exactly what he is like in any interview he does as he is on the show only that he let's a little more slip. He has always been extremely bitchy and bitter about almost everyone he worked with apart from westlife. It's amazing his relationship with westlife hasn't soured by now. All that aside I am enjoying him as you never know what he will say next but a very untrustworthy character.
Ekin-Su just gets worse and worse for me that whole conversation about OnlyFans was wild. It's clear Fern had no ill intentions or any clue what the ins and outs of it are, so was just curious to know... Ekin-Su just comes across so desperate to shake off the whole Love Island image that she won't even entertain or engage in curious/genuine conversation with people who really couldn't give a fuck either way.

Ekin-Su is utterly vile too, really cannot stand her. I didn’t know her before this show so I get if people have seen a different side of her, but she is just such a mean girl on this, thinks she is better than anyone else cannot stand her.
Sad to see Sharon go, although I’ve never been a fan of her I was enjoying her in the house she came across well and had some great stories. Her mask slipped a few times when she was slagging off celebs but it wasn’t as gross as Louis.

Not gutted Lauren went, there wasn't anything entertaining or particularly warm there for me. Wouldn't have been gutted to lose Fern either, but Louis would've been a huge loss - I don't actually like him as a personality at all but for the show he is giving pure entertainment.
I'm so glad we got a week of Sharon because she was such a golden housemate, she gave us gossip, got stuck in, and was a pleasant presence around the house too. Could've been a winner as a regular housemate!
David is probably my current favourite, he's had the most laughs out of me so far for sure. Bradley's a total sweetheart and I'm loving how joyous he seems to be finding the experience, though it would've taken a lot for me not to be in his corner I think

I voted Ekin in the end as she is bringing the entertainment Hopefully Levi goes, love his sauce but the other 4 are far more entertaining.
Great episode but Ekin-Su is just horrid, I'd say in the real world she is a fairly nasty person and I felt this alot pre tonight's episode although for the first couple of episodes she was one of my faves (as I never watched love Island so knew little about her) but her mask really slipped with each episode.

I don’t think Ekin-Su is a bad person to be honest, if you look at what happened on Danicng On Ice then just breaking up with Davide she has been through a lot this year and I think she’s very damaged and that explains why she’s so barbed, defensive and guarded. I think she doesn’t want to let anyone in, she doesn’t even want to show her true self really and that’s why she is absorbing other people’s personalities and being so performative and false.
That obviously doesn’t make her likeable for doing what she’s doing, but I think I understand it a bit. As I’ve said prior, I think she made probably the worst possible choice to make at a point where she has a lot to work through by going on this show, because she’s imploding in on herself on national TV.

I honestly don’t see what Ekin has done wrong. I think I’ve been watching a very different show here. If anyone’s got an attitude against women it’s Fern (young attractive women at least). I won’t even say what i really want to say.
But yeah I don’t think she’s warranted the level of tweets she’s had at all. This series has been pretty tame to some C5 series for example like we seen some real villains on there - Ekin really hasn’t done anything in my opinion. Obviously she come across differently on Love Island but the aim of that show was different. I don’t think she’s anywhere near as confident as you’d perhaps assume and she was out of her depth on a show like this (I think maybe she did this show a series too soon personally).

I really don’t think it has personally ? The ONLY thing I think was a stretch was that tweet that put her with Roxanne , Jade Goody etc that was a bit much but apart from that I think she honestly brings it on herself with how she answers certain questions and some of the things she says !
Unfortunately I found Ekin-Su to be increasingly unbearable as the series progressed, so I can’t say I’m at all surprised by the negative reactions towards her (as long as the reactions are within reason - I obviously don’t wish her to have a hard time as a result of this experience. At worst she was a difficult personality).
I found Fern’s nomination reasoning to be very astute. It was a precise reading of how Ekin has come across on the show and I’m kind of surprised that people could dispute it based on what we’ve seen… without applying “but she was great on Love Island!” to it.
I kind of think that she got in her own way, by being so intensely self conscious of how she would be perceived, that this actually made her come across badly. In particular her attitude towards those who utilise OnlyFans, and giving off the whole “I’m not like the other girls” vibe - it’s far from endearing.
Late & Live was a bit of a car crash. Ekin-Su blaming the edit was such a weak thing to do though, laughably cringe. AJ was right to essentially be like “now hang on a minute, you haven’t even seen what’s been shown, and what was shown was you!”

Yeah so Love Island she was more girl’s girl, she was like someone you’d want to be besties with, always standing up for them against the toxic men, she was a lot more relatable and real. The Ekin-Su of Love Island would despise this iteration of herself
I think the world of celebrity has changed her a lot, honestly, for the worse, she’s not been prepared for it all and I don’t know whether the breakup was a tipping point too. I know I keep saying it but she really shouldn’t have thrown herself into something like Big Brother at this point. I’ve got friends who will do the same and have a breakup, not process it and just busy themselves or not take time for themselves. I mean maybe it was… a different fake act on Love Island, but the vibe I’m getting is everything she’s been through has changed her for the worse and she hasn’t worked through any of it. Instead of a relatable girl’s girl, we ended up seeing a week and a half of someone cold, defensive, sometimes misogynistic, calculated and a massive pick me. I’d be lying if I didn’t find the delusional parts kind of entertaining, but when I think of what we could have had and what we got, it is a shame. Out of the Love Islands I saw (actually didn’t bother with any after her season), she was my top pick to go on the show along with Maura and Indiyah, and I’d say in terms of a fan fave she was probably the one everyone would have wanted to go on.
I'm a huge Ekin-Su fan. She's a Love Island icon and almost single handedly revived interest in that show. I was disappointed with some of the comments she made on CBB but the hate has been too extreme and that Late & Live pile on was too much.
Even though Ekin never saw it at that point, she was right that her edit hasn't been great. She's come across better in the live streams I've seen. I think her breakup which is really recent must have affected her a lot and she looks like she's in a very vulnerable and insecure place. It felt like she was trying find support and trust in there, people she could confide in, but housemates were either fake to her or never understood her.

I think Louis should be in the top 4 of the odds to be honest. He's been the main character this series and usually even when seemingly they aren't popular they do tend to make the final. Louis is winning I think, I’m almost certain :/ I agree the odds are kind of weird, David and Bradley both drifting a fair bit from being favourites when really neither of them have done anything different or had bad moments, I don’t get it. I still don’t find Louis entertaining and I don’t think racist micro aggressions and being nasty and negative the entire series is behaviour that should be rewarded.
I don’t think Fern is boring at all, just because someone doesn’t guzzle airtime by being outwardly nasty or isn’t loud all the time doesn’t mean they are boring. Fern should win for me as she’s not been nasty but has been somewhat entertaining, Colson and even more so Nikita tbh have been boring as anything although both are nice. Fern is a decent balance, she has had a great read on people and contributed to things, and she’s been central to things happening even if she’s not been the loudest voice in the conversation.

In regards to Fern, I agree with Liam! She's been an unexpected surprise for me. I was expecting nothing but she's pretty much consistently delivered for me personally. Such a nice woman too.
I think the thing is Louis stands out - the others are all nice, but no one has particularly stood out in a massive way. Louis is basically dominating the narrative as he is different/ outspoken and not always likeable. I think Louis is a cert for the top 3, I can see him winning - like Jim Davidson/ Gary Busey - they dominated the narratives too in their series. Although CBB13 had a number of strong characters. I think had Sharon stayed in for the whole series things may have gone differently.
This series there feels like a lot of vanilla HMs (certainly of those remaining). Its great people want to have a good time etc, but you need characters in there that bring something and it feels at times a lot of the Celebs are bringing the same thing.
I have enjoyed the series though and its better than a number of the Chanel 5 series'.

I have an awful (to me at least) feeling that Fern might have a Coleen Nolan esque win. She seems to have a lot of support from what I see. I really hope she doesn’t though. She’s a hater of a young attractive woman (gorgeous Meghan Markle and Ekin Su come to mind).

The media smear campaign last week leading up to her eviction, every Z lister crawling out the woodwork for some tabloid coverage, AJ and Will bashing her all week on Late and Live. It was A LOT. And I really worry for her mental health cause she was not in a good place coming into this.
I don't recall ever saying Ekin came across well on CBB I don't think anyone here that likes Ekin has said she was doing great on the show or was being delusional about proclaiming she came across great.
I'm agreeing with everything JLJ and Kath are saying. The Meghan comments really rubbed me up the wrong way and her bonding with Gary about tories. As a POC you pick up on undertones and it made me very uncomfortable. I also found her attitude towards Ekin vile and how after being nominated the first time Fern started acting up for the cameras putting that blanket over her head and doing that weird song/dance. I just find her dis-genuine, but some may feel the same about Ekin and that is fine.
I also just don't buy this 'i'm so sweet' act. I just personally do not think she brings anything to the show but good for other people finding her remotely interesting.
People are doing the absolute most with Ekin, acting as if she's anything like the racist Jade Goody, Helen Wood or the vile Roxanne Pallet (i'm not directing this at anyone in this thread but on Twitter).
I think we'll all have to agree to disagree on the Fern/Ekin thing.

I don't really get fix vibes; going by Louis' growing popularity he would've been safe against anyone other than Nikita (and outside shot Fern) anyway.... even then I wouldn't be surprised if he would top any vote currently.

The interference is such a shame because hypothetically Louis probably would've been up and stayed, likely along with Nikita, giving him a place in the final anyway along with ZeZe.

Nikita seems really nice but he adds zero to the show for me so I'd be happy to see him go but think he will be in the final.
I think Mariska and zeze will probably go. I felt sorry for Fern tonight as she was obviously waiting to be revealed to Louis that she selected him and I'd have been the same and I'd prefer for it to be revealed to get it over with.
I’ve seen a lot of support for Zeze online and her winning on eviction polls over Fern so I’m hoping for a miracle and she stays . It’s a shame we’re likely losing two women and there will only be only one women in the final .
I don’t really care how many woman/men we end up with it’s the character that counts for me, would be nice if Zeze does well as she has grown on me a lot over the series and talks a lot of sense and isn’t scared to air her opinion on things!

Hope Zeze and Fern stay, I’d much rather characters like them stay in, they stand up for themselves and aren’t trying to be nice all the time.
