PUMPED! We have a long while to wait still, but details of the Finding Nemo sequel have FINALLY been revealed: Finding Dory is going to be set a year after the events of the previous film, and features Marlin and Nemo again (with the latter due to be recast because of the actor's age). |

I was literally just about to post this! EXCITED.
Total Film article on it: QUOTE We knew it was coming, but Pixar have finally announced the title and details for its sequel to Finding Nemo. While specific plot details are TBA, the title suggests Finding Dory will find Nemo, Marlin and the gang on the hunt for Nemo's best (and very amnesiac) fishy friend. Unsurprisingly, DeGeneres - who won over her audiences with her initial turn in Finding Nemo - is rather happy to be back. “I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time,” said DeGeneres. “I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating ‘Toy Story 16.’ But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is—it’s got a lot more Dory.” John Carter director and Pixar veteran Andrew Stanton is taking the helm, and is just as excited. “There is no Dory without Ellen,” said Stanton. “She won the hearts of moviegoers all over the world—not to mention our team here at Pixar. One thing we couldn’t stop thinking about was why she was all alone in the ocean on the day she met Marlin. In ‘Finding Dory,’ she will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family along the way.” According to Stanton, “Finding Dory” takes place about a year after the first film, and features returning favorites Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang, among others. Set in part along the California coastline, the story also welcomes a host of new characters, including a few who will prove to be a very important part of Dory’s life. Finding Dory will open in the US from November 25 2015 (UK release date TBC). http://www.totalfilm.com/news/pixar-confir...el-finding-dory |

I assumed it was just gonna be 'Finding Nemo 2'. But I suppose this makes more sense. I love Dory!
Only 968 days to go! |

One day there will be an Incredibles 2. One day, they'll see sense and make a sequel to The Incredibles. Won't they?
But anyway, it does seem as if Pixar are running out of ideas at the moment if they can't think of new concepts. |

That works WAY better than just Finding Nemo 2 (what on earth could they have done next with that?), Dory was always quite a wonderful creation and a film about her definitely has potential.

I was literally, initially gutted they announced a sequel as (like many others) I was unsure of how another "Finding Nemo" would work. It's my favourite film ever (idgaf) and I didn't want it tainting in the same way as 'Cars' has been tainted by 'Cars 2'. I do hope it's more 'Toy Story', sequel obviously and I think now, they have the potential to give us just that. |

Pretty peeved they're doing another sequel (especially since we've got 'Mosters University' coming this year), but as it's Pixar, I'm sure it'll be fabulous ovc. Delayed until Summer 2016. (Pixar's "The Good Dinosaur" is taking the original release date, being pushed back from next May).
