It's back - the most important EOY countdown on Buzzjack!! Let's celebrate the amazing music that got us through such a crappy year. This is a points chart based on all 52 Multicharts from the year 2020.

Dua Lipa had FIVE #1s (plus a 6th with 'Prisoner' which was too recent to feature here), which one will rank the highest here? Can she claim this #1 too or will another song get it? How high did 'Sweet Melody' manage to reach in just 9 weeks? All will be revealed by Seven, James and myself in due course.

We'll start with #75 through #71 tomorrow! Until then, here's how the Year-End Multichart looked in 2019:

71 600 Harry Styles - Golden (39-8-6-5-4-4-5-4-9-...) [9 wks]
72 597 Becky Hill & Sigala - Heaven On My Mind (21-13-11-6-8-11-12-18-31-44-64-xx) [11 wks]
73 595 The Killers - Caution (22-23-18-16-14-20-17-18-27-38-65-xx-39-xx) [12 wks]
74 584 Katy Perry - Smile (41-15-14-16-16-15-16-11-16-36-56-xx) [11 wks]
75 583 Jawsh 685 x Jason Derulo - Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat) (64-20-10-10-11-19-18-21-32-55-50-54-58-62-73-xx) [15 wks]

We start proceedings with Jason Derulo, who had probably the most surprising comeback of 2020 unless I'm forgetting someone obvious, with the help of Jawsh 685 and TikTok in general. Katy Perry spent 8 weeks in the top 20 with 'Smile', honestly not bad considering the severe lack of hype it had. The Killers also made a triumphant return and 'Caution' scrapes in at #73 here! Becky Hill finally started scoring hits as lead artist, here with Sigala returning the favor from last year's 'Wish You Well'. And Harry Styles makes the EOY with 'Golden', having charted just 9 weeks before the cutoff, and a solid #4 peak for a 5th single!

Yay for Savage love making it although I don't like that he's still doing a similar sound right now sad.gif
Golden wub.gif I still am yet to chart this but I'm glad it made it to the EOY!

66 626 Sam Smith & Demi Lovato - I'm Ready (17-10-14-10-13-14-21-20-26-24-41-xx) [11 wks]
67 623 Ava Max - Who's Laughing Now (29-20-20-20-18-13-17-16-20-36-40-49-68-xx-75-xx) [14 wks]
68 620 Harry Styles - Falling (…-22-17-15-17-21-29-23-27-29-27-47-53-71-xx) [13 wks]
69 610 Shawn Mendes - Wonder (32-13-8-8-9-11-15-19-31-31-51-74-xx) [12 wks]
70 602 Romy - Lifetime (31-33-16-15-14-14-12-17-18-21-57-62-...) [12 wks]

The xx vocalist Romy makes a nice surprise appearance with her euphoric single 'Lifetime', which managed a solid Top 20 run on here. Shawn Mendes lands at the lucky #69 position with 'Wonder', and Harry Styles is next with the third Fine Line single 'Falling', which peaked at #15 in both the Multi and Official charts. Ava Max laughs all the way to #67 with the first of her two entries here, followed by Sam & Demi's collab 'I'm Ready', it wasn't exactly a roaring success but it went Top 10 here so that's something

So I think I've heard two songs there laugh.gif
Wonder was nice at first but in hindsight, it was a very boring song. (Sorry Calum.)

Ooh I charted a few from that section *.* I think Romy was the highest as she made my top 5. Both that and the Jamie xx releases last year were really good - so ready for a fourth xx album whenever it's the right time heart.gif 'Falling' was a stunning change of pace for Harry this era - I totally fell in love with it after the BRITs performance, I suppose it's almost a year since that now! 'Wonder' a great lead from Shawn that deserved a lot better.

Nice to see 'Caution', 'Golden' and 'Lifetime' making it in here! Love 'Falling' as well, and I still think 'Smile' is underrated and one of the few actually good songs from Katy's latest era ~

61 655 Joel Corry - Lonely (75-30-16-15-12-13-14-13-11-15-31-45-xx-68-69-75-59-xx) [16 wks]
62 652 Kygo x Tina Turner - What's Love Got To Do With It (23-10-9-8-6-7-10-12-27-31-49-68-xx) [12 wks]
63 650 Jax Jones & Au/Ra - i miss u (35-14-11-7-9-11-10-11-18-24-36-...) [11 wks]
64 631 Troye Sivan - Easy (16-12-13-10-12-11-15-22-29-34-40-67-xx) [12 wks]
65 628 Ariana Grande - positions (6-3-3-3-5-6-7-10-13-...) [9 wks]

So first up, we have a song which I've never even heard of. I had no idea that he had released another single ohmy.gif. Anyway, I've just listened to it. The uncredited vocalist is English singer Harlee, she sounds very much like Becky Hill, which is exactly who I thought it was until I looked her up. The song is very average imo but with a peak of #4 officially, who am I to disagree with the General Public? What's Love Got To Do With It makes a surprise appearance here, (at least to me) because it is also downright awful kink.gif. I Miss You next and it is quite average, so average in fact, I've only just gotten round to charting it laugh.gif. Easy is fantastic although a peak of #10 really doesn't give that impression. The new version with Casey Mulgraves is superb. I Implore you all to listen, especially since i haven't heard the original kink.gif. Positions, I am surprised is so low here. A peak of #3 and a chart run of nine weeks is still great and clearly Buzzjack likes it but this whole era has been overhyoed.

56 669 Kim Petras - Malibu (60-19-21-24-36-30-20-15-15-17-28-37-39-62-48-xx) [15 wks]
57 669 Little Mix - Sweet Melody (3-2-1-1-1-1-2-2-2-...) [9 wks]
58 668 Jason Derulo - Take You Dancing (75-35-23-21-16-14-10-9-14-13-16-33-44-73-xx) [14 wks]
59 667 Becky Hill - Space (34-25-11-7-10-10-13-15-17-24-38-41-...) [12 wks]
60 661 Ella Henderson - Take Care Of You (20-16-7-5-5-5-9-14-15-34-45-xx) [11 wks]

After six years, Ella Henderson finally resumed her solo career with 'Take Care Of You'. The general public may have overlooked it but Ella's still popular here as she scored three weeks in the top 5. From X Factor to The Voice, Becky Hill also earned a Multichart hit with a song that didn't do much officially. In fact 'Space' appears even higher than 'Heaven On My Mind' did! Proving his TikTok hit was no fluke, Jason Derulo had a second 2020 hit all on his own with 'Take You Dancing'. Believe it or not, 'Sweet Melody' was Little Mix's first Multichart #1 since 'Touch' in early 2017. ohmy.gif With its first 9 weeks in the top 3, it does well to overcome the disadvantage most recent songs have in the EOY! Kim Petras rounds off this pop-heavy section with 'Malibu', spending 15 weeks on the chart while also peaking at #15 cool.gif

51 692 Zara Larsson - Love Me Land (21-7-16-10-13-13-15-24-19-31-38-47-43-75-xx) [14 wks]
52 689 Billie Eilish - No Time To Die (9-4-3-4-4-5-11-14-21-25-47-xx) [11 wks]
53 685 Jessie Ware - Spotlight (70-23-42-19-14-13-11-11-15-17-18-31-43-55-73-xx) [15 wks]
54 682 Cardi B feat. Megan Thee Stallion - WAP (23-10-10-8-8-8-5-15-19-30-38-58-74-xx) [13 wks]
55 672 RAYE - Natalie Don't (35-12-13-8-6-7-8-14-15-30-44-63-61-xx) [13 wks]

RAYE modern day take on Jolene with 'Natalie Don't' reached the Top 10 here, on the opposite side of this batch Zara Larsson's 'Love Me Land' also received far more appreciation from Buzzjack than with the general public. Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion's 'WAP' on the other hand was a huge musical talking point this year, a smash hit that had the whole family singing along. Jessie Ware had a very successful album campaign in the Multi world, 'Spotlight' being the first of her appearances on here, while Billie Eilish's bond theme 'No Time To Die' sailed into the Top 10 for a handful of weeks

46 729 BLACKPINK - How You Like That (69-23-17-15-14-15-15-17-24-34-48-45-47-47-45-51-56-57-xx) [18 wks]
47 723 Mabel - Boyfriend (10-8-6-9-7-9-10-10-14-27-28-58-69-xx) [13 wks]
48 709 Tate McRae - you broke me first (72-31-19-20-21-15-10-10-14-17-22-20-49-56-55-xx) [15 wks]
49 697 Tame Impala - Lost In Yesterday (44-xx-33-12-14-14-10-12-17-15-12-22-39-47-xx) [13 wks]
50 697 Katy Perry - Daisies (14-8-7-5-4-7-9-11-18-25-31-xx) [11 wks]

And into the Top 50 we go!

So at #50 it's everyone's favourite Pussy. Katy Perry herself biggrin.gif and of course I absolutely adore this track. It was #1 on my EOY 2020 and honestly, it's one of her most tolerable tracks. It's still on my own chart after all this time after all. I doubt you'd hear anyone else say nice words about this song though laugh.gif I need to listen to this Tame Impala song, give us a sec... oh another one for the 80's bandwagon? mind you this sounds slightly different to those other 80's revivalist tracks. More authentic? It's quite catchy as well cheer.gif. Of course, everyone knows the next one, You Broke Me First. I'm actually surprised to see this one sitting so low ohmy.gif. I really enjoyed this, honestly although it was quite a boring track for me but given the praise from everyone else i was actually expecting this to be a no brainer for the top 20 EOY. Another one I don't know although everything I've heard of Mabel's has actually been decent. Listening to this now, I'm super surprised it managed to squeeze into the top 50. It sounds like the sort of song all the gays (myself included) would chart in the middle of summer. Am I right? I've not heard this BLACKPINK song either but I'm of the opinion that they are trash, which explains why I've not heard this one. Listening to this now, I think I judge too harshly laugh.gif This is actually really nice, well until the chorus creeps in, then i want to punch YouTube.

41 762 Jessie Ware - What's Your Pleasure? (39-14-20-31-43-35-24-17-17-20-26-28-32-34-45-45-60-xx) [17 wks]
42 760 24kGoldn feat. Iann Dior - Mood (62-28-24-12-13-9-10-9-13-20-29-35-29-67-63-52-64-69-...) [18 wks]
43 750 Camila Cabello feat. DaBaby - My Oh My (...-11-6-6-6-6-9-12-11-13-24-40-37-57-xx) [13 wks]
44 745 Paul Woolford, Diplo & Kareen Lomax - Looking for Me (53-48-36-35-35-21-20-18-18-17-18-22-20-38-49-46-74-55-xx) [18 wks]
45 732 Marshmello & Halsey - Be Kind (41-25-29-23-27-17-14-13-12-7-13-19-40-61-67-xx) [15 wks]

Buzzjackers were kinder to 'Be Kind' than the general public, it reached the Multichart top 10 but didn't come close on most countries' official charts! 'Looking For Me', on the other hand, had a surprisingly low peak on the Multichart, but with a lengthy chart run to compensate. 'My Oh My' was Camila's big hit on her Romance album, spending a month at its #6 peak. 24kGoldn's 'Mood' had a pretty quick climb here at first but ended up stalling at #9. And 'What's Your Pleasure' is Jessie Ware's second of three appearances - must admit I haven't listened to anything from her album but will certainly do so, having seen all the love for it here!

40 764 Billie Eilish - everything i wanted (...-2-3-3-3-3-4-9-12-16-21-29-43-xx) [12 wks]

Billie Eilish's 'everything i wanted' reached #2 in 2019, with most of its chart run carrying over into this year. Powfu & beabadoobee's TikTok-driven smash 'death bed' appeased coffee lovers everywhere, and Taylor Swift's folklore cut 'exile' handed Bon Iver his first Top 40 hit since Blood Bank in 2009. Jax Jones & Martin Solveig reunited to plague our eardrums with 'Tequila', while The 1975 scored their biggest Multi hit since Chocolate with 'If You're Too Shy' peaking at #5

So Kylie returned this year and her second Single Magic makes it in at #35. I will add that this is her highest charting single from DISCO which just leaves me perplexed. It also charted at #2 in Scotland proving yet again that Scottish taste is superior (only because single #1 & 2 went top 5 here!).
I have heard of Halsey, but not this song, so I am going to listen to it now. I hate it. Jokes. I'm listening to it now. It's nice. I think? I'm guessing this flopped officially? yet it still went top 5 on BuzzJack. Shame on you BuzzJackians, Oooo Savage next. Fun Fact, i only know this song because of TikTok and I've never seen the video. I don't plan on watching it either because I am also Savage.
I'm not even gonna give Diamonds a comment xxx
Yay Steps! They returned in full force in 2020. Absolutely gaytastic music for the masses. This was the precursor to their best song in their whole entire discography 'Something In Your Eyes' which doesn't appear here BTW which i just realised. I am SAD NOW.

great to see Tequila top 40 and Looking for Me nearly there although not high enough to get a RotD AQ, oh well.

The Scottish chart doesn't include streams (and in fact I think it's literally a physical-only chart now? lol), it's not a matter of 'taste' x

'exile' making the top 40 here despite not being a single, we love to see it
