Last week, LTV released 26 entries competing to be Latvia's entry in Rotterdam. A jury has now cut these down to 9 that will go forward to the final - and Markus Riva has not progressed!
ANNNA – “Polyester” Bad Habits – “Sail With You” DRIKSNA – “Stay” Edgars Kreilis – “Tridymite” Katrīna Bindere – “I Will Break Your Heart” Katrīna Dimanta – “Heart Beats” Miks Dukurs – “I’m Falling For You” Samanta Tīna – “Still Breathing” Seleste – “Like Me” The favourite (based on Youtube views and general buzz online) appears to be the other name that you can always expect to see pop up for either Latvia or Lithuania. Will Samanta Tina finally get her shot with this Aminata-written number? |

Samanta Tina’s number needs some work to make it really pop but that’s got the best raw potential of these 9 songs

If she gets selected I'm sure they will zhoosh the number up significantly. And it really needs that because right now everything looks... amateurish. This definitely has potential to get them back to the Top 5 especially given the sausagefest that this year has been proving to be so far.

Poor old Samanta finally gets to go to Eurovision!
I think that's great, got some drama, some weird bits, could be an event. |

This is not my favourite but it is the video I watch most often. I dont think I've ever seen anyone enjoy singing a song so much.

This new track that she's dropped today does not give me high hopes of her coming back and delivering next year Latvia should've cut her whilst they had the chance |
