Not a lot of my vote left then
Very happy about four of my top six (including my top vote) making it into the top 50 though! |

I Got U is beautiful and love the steel drums too.
Rockabye is good but not one that I rush to revisit. Glad Posner has won 2016. |

Rockabye missing the top 50 I'm surprised I was its highest voter tbh.

A solo Drake song being this high
I believe 9 of my top 10 are still to come! |

I remember having a burning hatred for 'Don't Hold Your Breath' and posted about it a lot when I first signed up here. I'm not sure why as it's a pretty inoffensive pop song to my ears nowadays. I do prefer 'Poison' though!
'Written In The Stars' and 'My Love' are both solid, they weren't far off. The best thing about Jess supporting the Spice Girls was at least the brief inclusion of her huge dance collabs. Hoping that 'Rather Be' can do quite well in this! |

'Written In The Stars' is another one I really loved at the time but hasn't aged amazingly well so ended up missing my votes, still happy it's done quite well here though. It was a moment seeing it become an actual legitimate hit in the US, to this day something UK rappers almost never do.

I'm not surprised that 'Written In The Stars' is Tinie's highest #1 - IMO it has the widest appeal of his big hits, and rightfully so.
I never knew that 'Don't Hold Your Breath' was a cover! |

Cover is perhaps a stretch but it was done by Keri Hilson and Timbaland and 2010 before Nicole's version a year later. I guess they rejected it and it ended up with Nicole.

Keri's version was never released so yeah it's definitely a stretch to call Nicole's a cover I'm sure there are lots of songs which were demo-recorded by other vocalists/artists before the artist who had a hit with them. Great song anyway and easily the best thing she did

It's certainly very different to Nicole's version but I prefer Nicole's version.

Oh no I don’t like that version at all. I don’t mind a bit of cleverly used auto-tune but when it’s all the way through like that it becomes grating. Nicole’s version sounds less dated too.
Thanks for introducing us to that though Gezza! |
