BuzzJack Music Forum _ Television _ Liam's Reality Round Up 2014

Posted by: Liаm 24th January 2015, 11:57 PM

Kind of the same as Aaron's but I thought I'd do my own little twist as I watch slightly different shows...

Not quite formed the countdowns, but there'll be maybe 50-75 best contestants/stars and probably no more than 40 worst (yay for positivity kink.gif). I'll reveal what I watched and thus what will form the basis of this countdown with some tl;dr reviews of the shows starting right now and continuing tomorrow! My opinions are probably well known given how much I post about reality TV on here, so may lead to an anti-climactic countdown in places but hopefully some of you enjoy it smoke.gif

Posted by: Liаm 25th January 2015, 12:00 AM

Starting off the reviews of series I watched...

BIG BROTHER

BB15 (UK):
This series was subtitled "Power Trip", and in theory this twist seemed like it would be amazing. However, the awful decision to give Pauline the power based on a decent VT kind of ruined all that... It's amazing that one little snap decision could have ruined the series, but Pauline's decision on day 2 was a huge factor! Having to decide which housemate got a pass to the final, Pauline chose Helen Wood. At the time, Helen seemed a very underwhelming choice, inoffensive and bland. Ha. It soon emerged that Helen was anything but inoffensive and bland, but more on her later (no prizes for guessing if she's in the best or worst countdown if you've seen even one of my posts about her) kink.gif The producers were just ridiculous for allowing anyone a pass to the final on day 2, but this was just the beginning of them going twist crazy and~1 million viewers in Britain collectivity facepalming pretty much once a week, if not more often... We saw headstrong sassy female Toya ousted over dullards despite being a power housemate that week, wonderfully ridiculous Danielle booted because of a decision made by one of the year's most non-descript housemates and a Pop Idol fourth placer who were new housemates at the time (as part of Armageddon week which was supposed to "ROCK THE HOUSE 5EVA") and of course Helen's pass to the final hanging over us for the whole 71 days after it was given. All in all, great housemates managed to help this series just about scrape by (Ashleigh carried it almost single handedly for the last few weeks!!), but a few too many awful ones and more than a few too many "SHOCKING TWISTS" that threatended to rock the house and yet barely even knocked the lamp on the table over managed to derail it enough for it to be one of the weaker series.

BB11 (Australia):
Big Brother's return in Australia came in 2012 after 4 years off air, but ratings wise (not quality wise per se, 9 and 10 were both epic) they've slowly been flagging and gone from 1m to 0.8m to 0.65m (as a series average, roughly). With less people in Australia actually being interested came less effort from the producers to make this actually feel like a Big Brother series. There was no online live feed, no news from the house online (even the BBAU twitter feed only live tweeted along with the show) and there was even a lack of actual highlight shows (with two evictions a week plus nominations and no Sunday or Friday show from week 6, we often only had an hour or two of highlights for the whole week!). If they won't make it effort, it sadly kind of follows that the public won't make an effort to invest in the show sad.gif Some described it as a step away from a soap opera - and they're too wrong. Certain "storylines" were really pushed (romances such as the lovely Trasha and the dreaded Clawson especially) and often that was all you'd see of certain housemates. Despite some great housemates, a lot of them were ousted and replaced quickly with non-descript "intruders" - who we didn't get to know because of the lack of highlights and ended up being evicted themselves with embarrassingly low % of votes to save at the first opportunity. Poor Marina and her 2% sob.gif Actually scratch that, without Marina's existnece as such a non-entity, we'd have lost Priya that week so thank you Marina... This had the makings of a great series given the mostly good casting and BBAU's excellent past form (seasons 4, 7, 9 and 10 were all pretty brilliant), but it was handled so poorly that a lot of it fell flat or was just downright bad sad.gif

CBB13 (UK):
Warning, these next two tl;dr paragraphs are overwhelmingly negative because 2014's couple of Celeb Big Brother series were just AWFUL on the whole. January's was the slightly better one, but not by much... Apprentice runner-up Luisa Zissman pretty much saved the whole series by herself, but was aided by Liz Jones when it came to a certain task that is one of the absolute ultimate moments I have ever seen on any series of Big Brother *.* More on that and those two ladies in the actual countdown... This series was full of horrific housemates and their horrid personalities who I could not stand, including the misery of Linda Nolan, the sanctimony and self righteousness of Lionel Blair and the bigoted "comic" turns of Jim Davidson, the eventual winner. The best this series had offer outside of Luisa and Liz were two nicely dull girls Sam and Casey, although the latter had some cringe factor for the love triangle she got herself into... To be honest, the amount of unlikeable people in the house almost killed this series, even if Luisa put up a good fight.

CBB14 (UK):
Possibly the worst series of any Big Brother that I've seen. Ever. With huge characters such as White Dee, Frenchy Morgan and Leslie Morgan (no relation kink.gif), big things seemed to be coming for the series but it took all of the few days to careen off track and ruin itself... As with its predecessor, this series was marred by hugely unlikeable characters such as Kellie Maloney and especially Gary Busey (although I'm in the minority with the latter) and it became a chore to watch. Frenchy' craziness carried the series for me once Dee went off kilter a bit, and aside from her the best the series had to offer were harmless nice enough people like Lauren Goodger and Edele Lynch. Edele was so lovely and likeable she managed to keep me watching for a bit, but I don't think I watched any of the last week - including the final. The whole series was about Gary Busey. If he wasn't actually being shown he was being talked about, and I just quickly grew sick and tired and hearing about him... More rants on him later kink.gif

BB16 (US):
This was my first time watching BBUS, and as the format is a lot different I didn't really know what to expect. I very much enjoyed it at first, and I still maintain my thoughts that the format is great. However, I can’t say it was a wholly positive experience… This was mostly down to the divide in the house - and it was the bad side who won out due to the fact that the voting is all done in-house. Had this been a public voted series, I expect the good guys like Nicole and Donny would have done better and we wouldn’t have suffered so much of Frankie and Christine! But oh well. As with the CBB series just above, I actually didn’t watch all of this oops. I dipped in and out once Nicole was gone (twice!) but kept firmly in the loop so I think I can make a fair judgement tongue.gif From what I’ve read from diehard fans, this isn’t a vintage series so I won’t let that put me off of BB17 and I’ll try to go back and watch older series so the BBUS name isn’t tainted for me.

Yaaaaas.

BB15UK: How fitting that almost your entire post was Helen-centric with Toya thrown in there randomly, because that's pretty much how my Top 100 post has gone thus far. I think really at the end of the day we were let down entirely by casting. Helen, Pauline, Steven, Ash ect. ect. ect. All came out as horrible bully-esq villains within the first week of the show. There's nothing really to add because that's the crap we got for the entire season.

BBAU11: Agreed. The whole "lets throw everything including the iamspamspamamisink" attitude this season was a real let down. The producers really did everything bar actually SHOW a regular episode to save this season.

CBB13: I've done my best now to scrub this from my memory.

CBB14: Well this just turned out to be a re-hash of the Summer Civilian series, did it not? Throw a whole bunch of vile and uninteresting people in a house and let's see what happens. How fitting again that the whole series revolved around the most vile person, but they ended up winning anyways.

BBUS16: ohmy.gif I had no idea that this was your first exposure to a Big Brother US Series! Such a horrible season to start watching - I'm sorry. Yes, please check out some previous seasons. It's hard to pick one in particular. I've always been a fan of Season 3.

BBAU: Exactly laugh.gif Especially when they had soooo many newbies but nobody even remembered they were there until they got evicted laugh.gif

CBB: Glad you agree they're both awful laugh.gif

BBUS: I think once CBB is over, I will get into a series. Maybe. Because I always like to try and fill a BB void laugh.gif

SINGING

The X Factor UK (Series 11):
With the nation’s sweetheart Cheryl Cole back on the panel, alongside original judge and creator Simon Cowell plus the fabulously cuting Scary Spice (aka Mel B), this series could only improve on 2013 (that, plus the fact 2013’s finalists were a horrific crop only saved by Tamera and Hannah at the end of the day…). As the auditions, bootcamp and judges’ houses progressed, this series seemed a little more exciting than usual as there was no real frontrunner (for example Matt Cardle in 2010 was an obvious winner from about bootcamp). In the first few weeks of the live shows, a few potential winners emerged but the surprise of the season was runner-up Fleur East. Anyone who watches the show would have written off a black, confident female who performs and raps as someone who’d struggle to pass week 3 (did I mention she’s an OVER as well?). Sadly, she ultimately couldn't topple the horny mother vote and safe, “hot” male Ben Haenow won the chance to be dropped in a year’s time. However much I disagreed with the outcome, and despite some questionable choices in the top 12, this series’ talent haul was undeniably stronger than the horror shows of 2012 and 2013 (who had about 4 or 5 really interesting acts between them, at a push) even if it couldn't hold a candle to the brilliance of 2008, 2010 or 2011.

The X Factor Australia (Series 6):
As in 2013, Australia’s singing spectacle absolutely trounced ours! With a decent balanced panel (Boyzone’s Ronan Keating, LMFAO’s Redfoo, Neighbours star Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Dannii Minogue), an incredible talent crop and the fact it didn’t take itself TOO seriously, Australia got it just right yet again. They did deploy a couple of “twists” (the wildcard in week 1, a vote reveal in week 5 and a bottom 3 sing-off in week 7) for pretty much the first time ever, because they are rare here they actually worked! There was only one truly horrific act (and one pretty bad) in the top 13, that one being the wildcard act Brothers3 (who I’ll talk about in the worst countdown kink.gif) who were probably the reason Dannii was so miserable for most of the season (they somehow came 3rd) - I would be too if I had to mentor them. Thankfully talent won out in the end and left us with a flawless top 2 of hot rocker Dean Ray and winner Marlisa. The only really bad things this year was the treatment of Reigan (by both Dannii and the audience, TWICE in the bottom for someone with that much talent is ridiculous) and how far Brothers3 got, but we can’t have it all. Samantha Jade, Dami Im and now Marlisa make it three brilliant winners in a row - well done Australia biggrin.gif

The Voice UK (Series 3):
Much less exciting than The X Factor, with much less commercial success, but slightly better ratings… 2014’s series of The Voice saw the beautiful eyes of Ricky Wilson and the lovely demeanour of Kylie Minogue join the legendary Tom Jones and crazy will.i.am. on the panel, but the rest of the series was as similarly formulaic as ever. As with Leah McFall, Christina Marie emerged as a potential star with an incredible voice who was a frontrunner to win. She also lives (or maybe lived, she might have moved after the show) no more than 15 minutes from me, it’s good to see someone from Bristol on there who’s actually really good! But alas, somehow we ended up with Jermain Jackman winning. Anybody actually remember him? No? Ok. Christina’s failure (tbf even Sally would have been a decent winner) to actually win or do well has made me just see this as an entertainment show for 2015, because if the BBC can’t support contestants from their own high rated show (Leah McFall couldn't even get a hit when assisted by will.i.am. because Radio 1 didn't support her). Note to self for this series - MUST. NOT. LET. MYSELF. THINK. THAT. ESMEE. DENTERS. CAN. WIN. OR. BE. HUGE. AFTERWARDS. sob.gif

The Voice Australia (Series 3):
Unlike The X Factor, Australia doesn't actually do this much better than us. Their panel wasn't great (Kylie and will.i.am. just like us, as well as the Madden brothers and Keith Urban) but they do actually choose the right winners (well, 2/3 times anyway, series 2’s winner was awfully dated). The talent pool was fairly good, but only a couple of them really impressed. I guess the format just isn't impactful or exciting enough, so like the UK version and US version I watch it and view it as entertainment rather than anything that’s going to make an impact on the music industry! I am excited for the new season, because the addition of Jessie J and the return of Delta Goodrem means that the panel is much better and with a show like this the panel is everything.

BB15 was f***ing awful, I gave up watching properly once Toya left.

Although I am very stubborn lately once my fave goes to never watch it again, same happened when Frenchy went.

As much as I hated the publics attitude to SOMEHOW favouring Jim Davison, I really liked that series! The love triangle was actually gripping and Luisa kept the series quite strong too.

It's tough to get me to turn off laugh.gif I had to turn off last series though, I think I lasted about a week after Frenchy went? laugh.gif I only liked Edele then really and she was never shown, it was just bloody Gary laugh.gif

I hated too many in Jim's series to enjoy it properly laugh.gif

Dancing

Strictly Come Dancing (Series 12):
As with the previous two series (Kimberley Walsh and Sophie Ellis-Bextor), this series had one celebrity I cannot stand for no particular reason - Caroline bloody Flack. However, she won’t be in the worst countdown because I can’t deny her talent tongue.gif Anyway, the line-up in general was a lot better and this was great as some light entertainment (because of the XF clash I watched on iPlayer on a Sunday). It was made all the better by Claudia Winkleman replacing Bruce Forsyth, as her and Tess Daly work so well together. It’s a shame that Pixie was sacrificed for the sake of a shock elimination and Allison Hammond didn’t get further, but I enjoyed this series quite a bit.

Dancing With The Stars Australia (Series 14):
This was the first time I properly watched this, and that was just because of Ricki-Lee Coulter laugh.gif As I like Strictly and wanted to support her, I gave this a watch and it was decent. It was hard to properly enjoy it as much as Strictly because the only celebs I actually knew were Ricki-Lee, Mark Holden and Irene from Home and Away! Mark Holden provided hilairty though as he was possibly the worst dancer I’ve ever seen on one of these shows, and received the lowest possible score for his jazz routine - 4 out of 40. Oh dear. Ricki-Lee was thoroughly lovely all the way through and luckily talented enough to make the final, so I could see the series out with an incentive tongue.gif

Dancing On Ice (Series 9):
This has always been… a bit of a guilty pleasure. The final series was an all-star series, featuring previous winners, finalists, semi finalists and a couple of comedy acts. Luckily these included my personal favourites, soap stars Hayley Tammadon, Suzanne Shaw and Jorgie Porter as well as Olympian Beth Tweddle. Not so luckily, Jorgie was the first eliminated after jealous Samia Ghadie (aka Maria in Corrie, who was dating Jorgie’s skating partner Slyvian, there was beef as he broke up with Jorgie’s on screen cousin and close friend Jennifer Metcalfe to date Samia) started rumours… Also, the wholly arrogant Ray Quinn winning meant the series ended pretty badly, but ah well.

OTHERS

RuPaul’s Drag Race (Series 6):
This year saw the growth of a new obsession for me; I went on to watch all of the other five series over the course of the year! An amazing line-up of varied drag queens, from amazingly trashy Adore Delano to cutting sarcastic Bianca Del Rio to dramatically irritating LaGanja Estranja, made it as bitchy, fabulous and camp as ever! Iconic challenges such as the Snatch Game (Bianca’s on point Judge Judy <3) as well as new challenges such as the rap battle combined to make each week a real hoot, and he fabulous RuPaul and Michelle Visage were both on hand to deliver on point judging as ever too, what more could you want?

The Great British Bake Off (Series 5):
As with Drag Race, this is something I only recently indulged in ohmy.gif However, unlike Bake Off I haven’t worked backwards. Bake Off is something of a cultural phenomenon, with “Bingate” this series being the biggest talking point! Contestant Iain’s Baked Alaska was taken out of the fridge and melted a bit; editing made it look like fellow contestant Diana did it and she subsequently quit due to illness. But anyway, sweetheart student Martha, “he would have been hot when he was younger” builder Richard and queen of flavour Chetna, among others, made this a wholly likeable bunch of contestants. I never realised that watching fashion designers, retired grandparents and engineers battle it out by baking florentines and ciabatta could be so gripping, entertaining and interesting but I found myself excited for each Wednesday at 8pm. Oh I need a life… laugh.gif

Britain’s Got Talent (Series 8):
Ending the reviews on a bit of a low, this was really not a stellar series of BGT… 2013 had one of my favourite contestants of all time in Francine Lewis, and an undeniable winner in Spellbound, but this series had a hugely underwhelming winning act (and top 5 or so in general tbh…). This was just a habit watch really, I watch every year and there was nothing else on. However, there were some great moments. The gorgeous Darcey Oake had me gripped with his magic act, although the problem with this format is that with variety acts you know what their act is and become bored of it by the time they get to the final and have done it a few times! It was also nice to see Ed Drewett pop up.

---------------

And we'll kick off with the worst contestants list, get the negativity out of the way kink.gif

First, some stats on which series have the most contestants on the list...

CBB13 - 5
BBUK - 5
BBAU - 3
X Factor UK - 3

30 LaGanja Estranja (RuPaul's Drag Race, 8th)

Now, to be fair to Laganja she brought some laughs! I mean you have to laugh (whilst cringing behind your hand) at her "comedy" routine and catchphrase "OKKUURRRR", but she was really was a bit of a mess! From a stage name based on weed to endless hysterics and dramatics, drama and embarrassment was never too far behind dear LaGanja... Despite winning the previous make-up advert challenge with Adore Delano (who features on the opposite list, spoilerzz), her tragically cringe-worthy "comedy" challenge attempt was her maker and Laganja sashayed away after failing to sufficiently lipsync for her life against Joslyn Fox.

29 Gemma Kinghorn (BBAU, 23rd)

Ah, Gemma. Poor Gemma. In an overcrowded series with 23 housemates in total (including intruders/latecomers), she had the dubious honour of being the first out in a pairs twist. Basically, Gemma was paired with the nice but dull Jake and was placed against three other couples and they polled bottom of the vote. Rather than evict them both, BB decided that the housemates themselves would decide between Gemma and Jake... In a scene reminiscent of a year 7 PE lesson, we watched as every housemate was asked to stand behind their choice and all stood behind Jake, except for Priya, but more on her later (no prizes for guessing which countdown if you saw my sig while the show aired!). This was a desperately obvious outcome, because Gemma played everything wrong. She tried to emulate previous winner Tim Dormer by winding people up and stirring, but she didn't have the subtletly, skill or humour and failed to endear herself fully (if at all) to the public or her fellow housemates. If she wasn't so annoying and desperate to be someone she clearly wasn't, I might have had more sympathy for her!

28 Norman Calder (Great British Bake Off, 7th)

It's impossible to hate people on a show like Bake Off really, but Norman was hopeless and not even in a loveable way. He was a bit like your grandad, but I expect he'd be a bit more adventurous in the iamspamspamami#33; Norman was notorious for his laughably simple creations, which led to running jokes among Bake Off fans on Twitter that his showstopper would be a packet of pork pies laugh.gif So this is a bit of a cop-out almost, not based on his personality, and I don't have much more to say laugh.gif But his basic-ness did annoy me, so here he is.

27 Kimberly Kisselovich (BBUK, 11th)

It's a real shame Kim is here, because she was actually my favourite in the house for a week or so at the start! But the reason she went downhill was mainly Steven Goode (more on him later...). "Steverley" as they came to be known were a bit of an odd coupling and definitely an awful pair to watch, with "Kimbot" having no real personality after a certain point and Steven being completely over possessive and jealous. Kimberly herself was a bit of a waste of a housemate ultimately despite her promising start (she seemed smart, sassy and a breath of fresh air), because she was so meticulous in her thoughts behind every move and how they may impact her in the game that she wouldn't even crack a smile without weighing up the potential consequences... She was just so robotic, hence the nickname "Kimbot" laugh.gif I also blame her for Danielle's premature eviction, because in the Armageddon "twist", Pav and Pop Idol reject Zoe Birkett were set on sending Kim home before she was "taken ill" and given a bye... Only to walk the next day, too ill too return. She was joined by her now fiancee Steven just a week later when he left to a crowd of boos, so all was well for them I guess.

26 Bailey McConnell (Britain's Got Talent, 3rd in heat)

Our first singing act is Britain's Got Talent's token twinky male who's voice hasn't broken yet, because they're always fun. Right from his first audition, his voice was just SO grating and off key... But because he looked about 12 and sounded even younger, the judges were all for him. Even when he's being sold as a singer-songwrtier, the songs were nothing special and again if you took his looks away and doubled his age his "talent" would disappear kink.gif

I don't remember much of LaGanja other then the name.

Gemma too, what a magnificent casting selection that went horribly wrong. She was so miserable the entire time she was there. Even her Eviction wasn't about her - it was about Priya pretty much being the only person picking her. <3 Priya.

And Kimberly, of course, who showed up on my ranking. "Kimbot" is accurate. For the first 5 weeks she was very PC - non threatening, didn't really take sides. Towards the end however she became a miserable git and spent most of her time getting fingered or banged by Steven. That whole week with Marlon/Danielle/Kimberly/That Other Beast leaving was.. really.. just.. not needed. Danielle should have been brought back because Kimberly "walked" or whatever. But Pav/Zoe never should have been given that power in the first place. Look, pretty much with Kimberly you can't mention her time without naming 4-5 other houseguests. Pretty god damn useless if you ask me.

Omg yes I remember thinking "she'll be really good" over Gemma when we had the little advert teaser thing, but as soon as even like 5 minutes after her VT I just thought she was hideously annoying laugh.gif

Exactly, Danielle could have returned! She wouldn't have lasted much longer but seeing as it wasn't a public vote there was surely nothing wrong with going back on the previous eviction? Meh.

25 Lee Ryan (CBB13, 7th)

The first of five (!!!) housemates from the 13th series of Celebrity Big Brother to appear here is former Blue star Lee Ryan, who was the centre of a love triangle in which he played Jasmine Waltz and Casey Batchelor (both of whom I actually liked!). What kind of saves him over the other four awful housemates from CBB13 is that he was kinda hot (yes, shallowness comes into this, I mean look who is posting this, and he’s about the best we had for eye candy! laugh.gif)... I didn’t mind the love triangle I guess, compared to some other showmances or love storylines we’ve seen before, but Lee really did himself no favours! He just came across… a bit thick really. He saw no problem at all in jumping from Casey to Jasmine to Casey and back again, then back again once Jasmine was the second evictee… To be fair, this did provide one of the moments of the series (NOTHING comes even close to Luisa and Liz in the bath but more on that later in the next countdown) when Jasmine re-entered briefly for a task in which the housemates had to stay frozen whilst various shocking, offensive, embarrassing etc. things happened!

24 Lawson Reeves (BBAU, 13th)

Lawson’s fall from grace was ridiculous! In week 2-3 or so, Lawson was a favourite and seemed the kind of inoffensive Aussie guy who’d easily make the final because he’d endear himself to the public and nobody could dislike him enough to nominate him anyway. But then along came Cat’s attraction to him… Whilst he initially spurned her advance and left her to cry for the umpteenth time, one night he just seemed to switch and gave in. What’s so wrong with that, you ask? Lawson was in a committed relationship outside the house with a girl named Candice! He didn’t seem to consider her feelings, basically admitting on TV he loved Cat instead and essentially dumping her on national TV… Unsurpsingly, the public saw that Lawson wasn’t such a nice guy and he was evicted just a day before his beloved Cat, and Candice didn’t want to even speak to him. The hilarity of the situation is that him and Cat weren’t even together two weeks after the show drama.gif
(Also I still can't get past the fact someone said he looks like Sloth from the Goonies and that's not even inaccurate)

23 Younger Than Yesterday (X Factor AU, 12th)

The first of two Aussie singing acts, both groups, in this countdown is the budget 5 Seconds Of Summer, Younger Than Yesterday. X Factor Australia are just as obsessed with 1D as ours is, and every year seems to have a boyband who is compared to them… But these guys were a new low. They auditioned as solo acts but were put together at bootcamp as a group - and it showed :/ They somehow made it through Judges’ Houses and onto the live stage, but even though they had two months or so to prepare, their perfomances of Somebody To You and One Way Or Another were not only horribly cliched song choices but also horrifically messy. I did cut them a little slack for being put together at bootcamp so not being together as long as other groups, but it really did seem as if they were three random boys plucked off the street and asked to sing a song they’d only heard once before… Thankfully they were the second act eliminated!

22 Magnolia Crawford (RuPaul’s Drag Race, 13th)

Magnolia was one of the casualties of Drag Race’s two-part “Big Opening”, but unlike fellow eliminee Kelly Mantle I can’t say she was much of a loss… Her attitude was horrible, as she was pretty defeatist just because she didn’t get allocated the supplies she wanted for a challenge. When she didn’t create an outfit to the best of her ability, Magnolia was criticised by the panel and reacted awfully; she was very defensive and quite rude! But really, it was awful! I could made it! It was basically cow patterned fabric wrapped around her... After a lipsync against Darienne Lake, Magnolia had to sashay away and admitted at the live finale she didn’t even watch the season!

21 Sandra Nixon (BBAU, 16th)

Just the name Sandra is quite annoying… laugh.gif Sandra started off ok, I thought she’d be nice enough to last maybe to near the final and be quite likeable. But she soon became quite miserable, and ungrateful for the experience she was given. Then she fell for taken housemate Sam, but fortunately they didn’t do a Cat/Lawson! She spent most of time embarrassingly pining after him, and even worse than that she was stuck to him and Ryan, who she saw as “cool and popular”... But that just made her seem like a year 9 who gets to hang around with the year 11s once and lets it go to their head. Sandra seemed to think that she was some sort of a Mean Girl Queen Bee alongside her “hot” friends, but both her and Sam were fairly early exits because being pretty boring and unlikeable doesn’t cut it in a vote to save (well, for most housemates).

20 Linda Nolan (CBB13, 8th)

That was pretty much Linda’s permanent expression…. Linda seemed alright at first, but to be fair most housemates do! Unfortunately, BB’s casting of her was probably to stir up trouble as there was major beef between her and Jim Davidson - and boy did she let us know that! It felt like 99% of her whole stay was focused on hating Jim, berating him for everything, because he threatened her husband (who had stolen money from Frank Carson’s, a friend of Jim’s, dressing room) 15 years ago. Sure, Jim was detestable and a terrible winner, but I just hate when housemates on Big Brother waste so much of their time focusing on someone else in there… Enjoy YOUR OWN stay for god’s sake!

19 Jim Davidson (CBB13, WINNER)

Fittingly, Linda’s best mate Jim ends up just above her - he is the first winner here so far but not the last! Jim was very “of his time”, by which the Facebook warrior housewives of a certain age mean “he is allowed to be whatever -ist he wants, he can’t help it”. Jim’s miserable old man routine somehow managed to win the public over and he constantly topped the vote to save and eventually won the show. Sadly, BB winners only got worse in 2014 as you wil see a bit latter in the countdown…

18 Devin Sheppard (BBUS, 14th)

The first of three BBUS housemates to appear here is Devin, who was the 3rd to be evicted by his fellow housemates. Given that all the gameplay (nominations, voting to evict etc.) is done in-house, Devin really did himself over by sneaking around forming alliances with EVERYONE, then of course having to double cross certain people to stay true to other alliances… He was just such a mess and played the game appallingly. Granted, that was quite interesting to watch but it was just too much after a while and his obvious eviction was very satisfying.

17 Jermain Jackman (The Voice UK, WINNER)

Another winner who was awful enough to make this countdown is the most recent winner of The Voice UK. I don’t think there has EVER been such a non-descript winner of a singing show! I barely even remember him being on the show, and I have no idea how he managed to win against an incredible vocalist and ready made popstar (not that anyone actually gets to be a star after the show, hai Leah McFall’s failure) like Christina Marie. Sure, his voice was good. But that’s it. He had no star quality, personality, actually. I just had to laugh when he actually won. Complete repeat of Andrea winning over Leah, but worse!

16 Ben Haenow (X Factor UK, WINNER)

Another singing winner finishes off this section, except for some of this guy’s performances i’d argue that labelling him a “singer” might be going too far (I exaggerate, but only a little bit!)... Ben was always going to do well really, he was “hot” (personally he didn’t do much for me), male, an everyman and had a safe rock voice. Week after week he gave safe performances that were just about vocally competent, but as time went on I feel that (in general) he actually got worse rather than improving and going on a journey…. His butchering of I Will Always Love You is possibly one of the worst Whitney covers (even though it’s really a Dolly Parton song!!11!!1), and he sucked all emotion and meaning out of Hallelujah. Maybe I am just bitter he beat Fleur East in the final, but if he was 20 years older, bald and fat with the same voice he’d probably not have even made the live shows. I know The X Factor is more than voice, but being slightly attractive does not mean you have the X Factor.

15 Ryan Ginns (BBAU, WINNER)

ANOTHER winner, but there are still a couple more to come! If you watched the first 3 weeks or so of BBAU and nothing else, you’d laugh upon finding out that Ryan won the series. He genuinely most likely had less airtime than the house dog… I forgot he was in there to be honest. And I cannot even begin to explain how on earth he won, despite the fact it became more and more obvious it would happen as he became a little prominent and time went on. Ryan didn’t really have a lot to him really, he was far too “chilled” and “laid back” to bother having much of a personality, and when he did have a personality he was fairly rude, arrogant and dismissive of others. Maybe he was a bit “normal Aussie bloke” but runner-up Travis filled that role infinitely better and was better looking. In a series that contained Priya, Skye, Aisha and Travis, it’s a shame that such a boring, dull person had to win but I guess it’s symbolic for a series that was often made boring by the producers handling it so badly.

14 Mark Byron (BBUK, 8th)

Just reading his name almost fills my head with his screechy dramatised Liverpudlian accent *shudders*... Mark started off as a fairly loveable character, endearingly dumb and happy. He seemed so harmless and fun, and served as light relief in the first few weeks with many explosions from Helen… Ultimately he was proven to be very self absorbed with a sky high opinion of himself. As he integrated more with the “in” group in the house (Helen, Ash, Kimberly, Steven, Winston etc.), Mark went quickly downhill. He genuinely believed he would walk to the win, and that he was so much better than the likes of Danielle, Ashleigh and even his beloved CHRISTOPHEEEEE (who he kissed and had a kind of showmance with but he picked up and dropped Christopher whenever he wanted). That’s why it was so satisfying to watch the public begin to hate him, and even more satisfying to watch him exit to boos.

13 Bars & Melody (Britain’s Got Talent, 3rd)

The second and final awful BGT act in this countdown! BAM finished 3rd (somehow), probably because of their ages. For young kids (although actually I think one of them may only be a year or so younger than me, awks), they are SO PUNCHABLE. And their talent is… let’s just say barely there. I just don’t get the love. I think they’re another case of “double their age and their appeal would disappear”... Also one of them comes from about 15-20 minutes away from where I live, ew.

12 Overload Generation (X Factor UK, 15th)

Fittingly, one of the boys in Bars & Melody’s brother is in this group laugh.gif And it’s the one who comes from near me, the Bristol embarrassment just keeps coming ;_; Even coming from a show that gave us Jedward, Rough Copy and Bad Lashes, I have to say these guys are most probably the worst group XF has ever seen. I don’t really have any words for them except… embarrassing really! They were completely out of tune, messy - everything was pretty much off. There’s a reason Louis didn’t even take them to judges’ houses, but they got a reprieve thanks to the wildcard twist. Thankfully, they landed in the sing-off in week 1 with Stephanie Nala and deadlock ousted them, so they came 15th.

11 Christine Brecht (BBUS, 6th)

Just missing the top 10 is BB16’s Christine. She started off as a favourite of mine (this is a recurring theme, I need to choose my initial favourites better kink.gif) and I loved her friendship with Nicole but it wasn’t long before she was in alliances with the wrong people and dropped Nicole. She was quite snakey and desperate to be in the “in” crowd with Cody, Derrick, Caleb etc., but everybody except her knew she’d be pretty much the first one who they’d drop when the time came where they had to turn on their own kind… She was heavily booed on her exit (apparently a rare occurence for BBUS!!) because of her flirtation with Cody while in the house because she is actually married, but that had no effect on her relationship and she is still married afaik!

The one on the right doesn't bother me but THAT FACE THE ONE ON THE LEFT PULLS ALL THE TIME, THE HEAD DOWN BUT GLANCING UP AS IF HE'S GOT LOST IN THE PARK AND HE CAN'T FIND HIS PARENTS, HIS EYE IS ALMOST QUIVERING FROM THE STRAIN HE'S PUTTING ON SUCH A STUPID EXPRESSION. AND HE ALWAYS DOES IT. NOT CUTE.

Lee Ryan - CRINGE. I had him high on my list tho. For a male he brought a bit of baggage and drama. I think it was pretty shit he didn't get a proper eviction/lashing however.

Lawson - Had so much promise and potential and pretty much f***ed it up. Never get into a Showmance - it's boring.

Sandra - AGAIN, another person with so much potential who just ended up being a horrible sook. She went when she deserved to go. Borewhore.

Linda/Jim - That picture you found of Linda is fantastic. Spot on really. Jim, I don't think he really WON over the public, he was more or less the best option to win, other than Luisa obviously.

Devin - Oh my god, such a mess. I was literally sitting there wondering how someone could play as stupid as he did. It's pretty bad when you get kicked out of the house on a PERSONAL level - his leaving had nothing to do with his gameplay or being a threat, it was pretty much just geared towards that he was too much and he needed to go. But he was doing it for his daughter, not sure if you knew that *rolls eyes*

Ben Haenow - Love the last name. Didn't watch the X-Factor but did hear his winning song. I like it. Hairy arms too. Yum.

Ryan Ginns - NEIN NEIN NEIN. I was shocked he even MADE it into my Top 100. Such a horrible winner.

Mark - Your opinion is pretty much spot on, and will be exactly what I'm going to say when I eliminate him in my Top 10. Very likeable but it all went south VERY quick.

Christine - I don't even think she was in my Top 100. She never really produced anything entertaining to watch other than the cringemance with Cody. Her gut intuition was 100% correct and she was FIRM a lot of the times. She actually had a few opportunities to change how the game was going to be played but failed to do so on every occasion. She could have been amazing, but, she was played probably harder than anyone else this year.

Sandra - I really hate when housemates seem to ungrateful for their experience drama.gif
Jim - Hmm I guess you're right, I still think Sam would've won if she wasn't so ill and thus devoid of airtime...
Devin - omg yes, as if they'd all avoiding nominating or evicting him because of his daughter laugh.gif

Ryan - ikr drama.gif He's going to be that winner in a few years who you thought actually came like 7th in another year rather than 1st in 2014.
Mark - it went to his head drama.gif
Christine - yeah I think that's part of why I dislike her a lot too laugh.gif She had promise, but for a "BB superfan" who "watched live feeds all the time" she was just bloody terrible laugh.gif

10 Kellie Maloney (CBB14, 9th)

Kicking off the top 10 is this transgender boxing promoter (who was the highest paid contestant of the series, after coming out as transgender just before her signing and shocking the sporting world). Kellie was an early favourite to win due to her brave decision to come out publicly but came only 9th! This is because her stay was nothing more than a cloud of misery really… Whenever she was on screen, Kellie would be upset, miserable, angry or another negative emotion, and every time she spoke it was about her transition… Of course, I understand that it’s a huge step for her and she needed support etc. but it just made her come across as very boring. She was actually kind of aggressive and threatening too at times! Thankfully the public didn’t really take to her and she was the sixth housemate to be evicted!

09 Lionel Blair (CBB13, 10th)

We’ve already had a few from CBB13, but Lionel isn’t even quite the last one! The one thing that sticks in my mind about Lionel, and made my distate for him worsen, is when he was in that “most annoying room ever” with Luisa. He practically begged her to climb over the gate thing and get the chocolates, and when she did he wolfed them all down. But when the consequences came, he erupted at her and blamed her for breaking the rules despite being more than happy to scoff the chocolates. He was very self entitled and rude, and clearly felt his many years of showbiz experience made him better than everyone else. But the public didn’t feel the same way, and Lionel was evicted 3rd.

08 Steven Goode (BBUK, 10th)

As I mentioned when Kimberley, “Steverley” were just an AWFUL pairing. Not that Steven was ever really any good(e) :boom: From the start he was terrible, especially his weird fixation on the awful Pauline, but when he got with Kimberley there was really no going back. He was unbelievably creepy and possessive, which inspired much hilarity on social media (such as the pic above)! But worst of all was the incident that earned him the nickname “two second Steven” - basically him and Kim had sex on the show and it was actually shown. I shall never get the image of Steven humping (or whatever on earth you’d call that action he was attempting laugh.gif) out of my head :/ It’s quite fitting that he was evicted 6 days after Kimberly walked due to “illness”, and actually they are still together. Clearly delusional about his own popularity, Steven recently ran a competition in which “”””lucky””””” fans had the chance to win an invite to him and Kim’s wedding...

07 Helen Wood (BBUK, WINNER)

NEVER have I seen a housemate be so favoured by the producers… Well, maybe until Perez in the current series of CBB. Helen received a pass to the final ON DAY 2 (!!!) after the producers messed up the Power Trip theme almost instantly. For the first 24 hours, Helen seemed like an ok girl, pretty dull and nice. But it soon transpired she was anything but dull and nice! Whether it was because she felt the pass to the final made her somewhat invincible or not we’ll never know, but Helen made the most of immunity by doing things that would almost certainly get her nominated and evicted under normal circumstances. She was absolutely vile to anyone who dared to have a slightly different opinion to her or wasn’t part of her little in crowd, she had so many explosive expletive filled arguments and insulted pretty much everyone. She was so hated on the outside right up until even a week before the final or so, when people piped up and said she must win, she was the only entertaining one etc…. Granted, the series would have been less eventful without her but you don’t need to be as loud, vile and offensive as Helen to be an entertaining or worthy housemate.

06 Frankie Grande (BBUS, 5th)

Ah, Frankie and his delusion… Whilst his sister Ariana spent those three months or so having worldwide hits and performing at the biggest awards shows, Frankie spent them making the US hate him. Frankie genuinely seemed to believe he is more famous than his sister and thus would walk to the win - although he took a while to disclose his famous sibling. But when he did, he did so in his trademark attention seeking way… Frankie was bitchy about many of his fellow houseguests, was more desperate to win than pretty much anyone there (that’s not always a bad thing) and worst of all had a much higher opinion of himself than every viewer combined… It was therefore immensely entertaining and satisfying to watch him crumble as everyone turned against him. We would have been rid of him long before we were if he didn’t somehow manage to win that Battle Of Block that Caleb threw all by himself! :/

I didnt mind Lionel THAT much, when he was in the annoying room and told Big Brother to f*** off I was in stitches! laugh.gif

Kellie Maloney - ohmy.gif I had no idea Kellie was the highest paid last year, but I guess that makes sense considering her story, background and the fact that Ricci probably did it for a line of coke and a BJ from the producers. In hindsight all Kellie was, was a better looking Linda Nolan. Miserable and Sour.

Lionel Blair - He could have been awesome and fun but just turned out to be miserable.

Steven Goode - #OpenIt, I just eliminated him too. Ick.

Helen Wood - I have yet to eliminate her in my Top 100, which says alot. Entertainment for all the wrong reasons.

Frankie Grande - So f***ing fake. Cannot stand him.

05 Pauline Bennett (BBUK, 18th)

Pauline is pretty much the textbook example of how to throw it all away in a matter of days… On Day 1, Pauline entered and quickly became a hot favourite to win after her bubbly VT and entrance. But that’s where it went wrong, ironically. The producers messed up Power Trip less than two hours after it started, by having a quickie poll to determine which of the housemates would hold the power first. Pauline won with ease (40% out of 10 housemates) but it soon went to her head. Very soon. By about day 3, Pauline was throwing her weight around and showed her true colours. Honestly, she was just a vile person. Just because of having the power, she acted like a “top dog” in a prison drama like Orange Is The New Black laugh.gif Her killer nomination of Jale was laughable especially, she damned someone to be up for eviction every single week over some chicken soup drama.gif It was amazing to see her really cut down to size, from getting 40% of a positive vote for power, to a whopping 79% vote of the vote to evict out of 6 housemates!

04 Brothers3 (X Factor AU, 3rd)

The penulimate singing act come from Down Under. Usually, Australia cut the crap before live shows but these guys slipped through and tortured ears until the finale :/ Dannii initially sent them packing at Judges’ Houses, but they managed to win the public vote for a wildcard 13th finalist. For a good 6 or 7 weeks they represented the groups category alone, and despite some horrific performances (especially 500 Miles!) they sailed through every week - the only act of the series never to land in the bottom 2. They just had barely any stage presence, barely average vocal and performance skills, and no chemistry despite the fact they’re brothers! It was just laughable that they got so far over so much amazing talent, but thank god they didn’t win I guess laugh.gif But their version of 500 Miles is pipped to the putrid post by our next contestant...

03 Jay James (X Factor UK, 8th)

Ugh. Just ugh. Jay James was horrific from pretty much the first note, as he strained through Say Something at his audition but became a favourite to win. Nothing he did after that excelled any further than below average either… Jay didn’t have a strong voice at all (he’s one of those contestants where you sit at home and genuinely question whether you could do better, and you come to the conclusion you probably could), he had 0 stage presence and was horribly irritating in his forced humbleness and family man routine. Plus he had to mention at EVERY possible moment how he was in the Navy before the show. Great. I respect your job but this isn’t Surprise Surprise, you need to be able to sing. Thankfully, Jay was the first of Simon’s overs to be axed after he lost the sing-off and deadlock sent him home. Who beat him? This series' novelty act Stevi Ritchie, which is kinda embarrassing for Jay really laugh.gif

02 Evander Holyfield (CBB13, 12th)

Thank god this horrible excuse for a human was the first evicted… From the second he went in, Evander seemed more disinterested and disconnected than possibly any housemate ever. He was just so boring! The only thing he did of note was prove himself to be incredibly backwards… He compared homosexuality to a disability (“that ain’t normal” and “if you were born and your leg was turned this way, you’d go get it fixed”) and said it was a “choice”. He didn’t apologise or see what was wrong with his utterance, and said it was “just his opinion”, because it’s apparently fine that only Luisa heard him say it. Poor brave Luisa being tied to him for a few days! Luckily, when him and Luisa received less votes than Jasmine, Jim and Liz and their fate was up to Lee and Casey, he was evicted and we didn’t have to suffer him any further!

So, the worst reality contestant of 2014 is....

01 Gary Busey (CBB14, WINNER)

Evander was a worse human being, but Gary was shoved in our faces so often and we didn’t have the luxury of him being evicted early… Because he won. To be fair, the series was so awful that I don’t feel any of them really deserved to win in the final (except Edele who was lovely), but Gary was the worst of them all. The public took to him and felt sorry for the fact he was being “bullied” by the other housemates, but I fell for none of it laugh.gif I honestly think he was playing up his disabilities etc., because when he was being told what to do he was lost, confused and deaf, but if he was arguing with anyone he’d miraculously be just fine. I think he was just as horrible as people were to him, very rude. His age was no excuse, if he was 20, 40, 60, or whatever he shouldn’t have been like that. Maybe the others shouldn’t have treated him the way they did, but you can just imagine how infuriating he would have been to live with! He truly made the series unwatchable, and once Frenchy had left I dipped in and out until the final week when I just didn’t bother. I guess it was fitting that by far the worst series ever has the probably the worst winner ever. Tbh the best thing about CBB14 was James Jordan’s arse, to end on a positive note…

Gary Busey was equally awful on the Celebrity Apprentice USA.

Enjoying reading this. I love BBUK but I actually really liked CBB13 ohmy.gif Luisa, Linda and Liz made it for me. Linda because of her spilling tea over Jim Dvidson whenever she could <33333 and I liked CBB14 aswell just for Frenchy wub.gif

BB15 was crap but it gave us Toya, Danielle and Ashleigh, so there's that

50 Katie Schepis (BBAU, 20th)

Katie was an excellent casting choice, I was excited for her from when I saw her little preview VT. Unlike Gemma (who featured in the worst countdown), Katie actually delivered -for her short stay. Paired with Priya on launch night, Katie was made the first power housemate along with Priya and had to make some big decisions. Katie played it well, but her differing opinions with Priya made them clash somewhat. Katie was headstrong, feisty and brought some drama with her outspoken nature. However, Australia didn’t take to her much (although she was up against eventual finalists Priya and Travis and the initially hugely popular Cat) and she evicted third, in a double eviction along with incredibly hot dullard Dion. I feel that her leaving that so early was a waste of potential, that series probably could have done with some drama because it was all “LOOK AT THIS SHIT RELATIONSHIP, LOOK AT IT” at times...

49 Caleb Reynolds (BBUS, 4th)

Look at the picture and you’ll know a certain part of my body that isn’t my head may have influenced this… But jokes aside, the psycho stalker mess that was Caleb was hilarious to watch and never offended me that much or anything. His fixation on Amber dominated the first few weeks, and was just another level of creepy laugh.gif He would follow her, talk to her all the time, start on the seating plan for the wedding and the starer for the meal afterwards… She was clearly not interested but he just kept on. I thought they’d have binned him in the early stages for being a bit of a liability game wise, but he was in pretty much all the major alliances and managed to go most of the way in the game. He was probably the most likeable of the “in crowd” (if we discount Victoria who I still think they kinda just kept for less competition, and it wasn’t just for his godly body I swear) in the end, not that that was difficult….

Thighs tho

Dat ass tho
http://uploadir.com/u/aqq9g66p

(no more slutty posts. Probably. There’s nobody as hot as Caleb coming up anyway x)

48 Richard Burr (Great British Bake Off, runner-up)

Ah, lovely Richard. Richard is a builder and baker, unlikely combo but it works as he was Star Baker an unprecedented five times! He was a lovely guy, he was like the cool dad of your best friend who’d prefer you to his own son laugh.gif His bakes were often so far ahead of the pack he seemed like a foregone conclusion he would storm to the win, but his only couple of bad weeks sadly for him came towards the end and he wasn’t even in top form in the final! He clearly has a career in baking ahead, but he had to settle for runner-up, along with Louis (who really should have been in my hate list, god he annoyed me).

47 Winston Showan (BBUK, 7th)

There wasn’t REALLY much to Winston, and he was sadly aligned with horrible Helen, Mark, Ash etc. but he was a decent guy I think, just kept the wrong company. Pretty much all the housemates (and a lot of the public for most of the run!) had Winston pegged as the winner, so his eviction was easily the biggest shock of the series both within the house and on the outside. He wasn’t someone I’d have necessarily wanted to win because he didn’t do much, but despite his awful company I found him to be very likeable and harmless. He did have his bad moments, but hey.

46 Jason Roses (BBAU, 15th)

As the sidekick to Priya, I was bound to get to like him! Jason was pretty much the better version of Ben Zabel. He was the token gay, a bit emotional but also very likeable which I found wasn’t also the case with Ben (I was almost certain he was somewhat fake)! Within the house he was hugely popular, and was tipped by many of his fellow contestants to win. Sadly, Australia didn’t feel the same way and he was a shock exit in the 6th week having received less votes to save than Ryan, David and Ryan. I always did think he’d do a Ben but I think he’d last longer than he did sad.gif

45 Rochelle Pitt (X Factor AU, 8th)

I didn’t really like Rochelle when the live shows started; I found her quite big headed and she seemed like not such a nice person… But her performances on the live shows were brilliant! She was kinda pigeonholed as the mumsy belter, but I think her perfomances showed a sense of artistry and her voice was always on point. Her highlight was History Repeating in week 1, because it’s not at all what you’d have expected from someone like her. The https://s.yimg.com/ea/img/-/140917/429890041-1a1hnrh.jpg?x=656&sig=EBDl1qc9PDb3Ja3KBhA_oA-- for her performance was absoltuely hilarious though, no wonder she was eliminated then rotf.gif

44 Hayley Tammadon (Dancing On Ice, 2nd)

Currently torturing us with her awful Corrie character Andrea Beckett, Hayley also spent some of 2014 competing in the All Stars series of Dancing On Ice, which was also its last. She won in 2010, three years after leaving her role Delilah Dingle in Emmerdale (significantly better than Andrea!) which was what made her famous. Hayley’s iconic Jai Ho routine is probably my favourite DOI routine ever, so it was brilliant to see that reprised. In her series, she was my favourite ever, but as you’ll see in the same bunch one contestant was better than her in the context of this series.

43 Anja Nissen (The Voice AU, WINNER)

I get the impression that the general consensus on Anja was that she was a bit of a crap winner. Sure, she’s nothing we haven’t seen before but I love her voice and she was always on point! I think having will.i.am. as a mentor didn’t help, he’s never the best person to guide you! She pretty much just sang a lot of big ballads, but she had the voice for it so why not? Really, this is The Voice and that’s what she has - she’s just sadly not much of a popstar I guess. Her winning was so random though, she was actually eliminated in the semi final but brought back as a wildcard pretty much right away and won the next week… Anyway, they’ve given her a horrifically generic will.i.am. song as her debut, so I doubt she’ll be getting anywhere (it peaked at #42 or something in Aus).

42 Victoria Rafaeli (BBUS, 3rd)

Victoria was almost completely irrelevant for the whole run, but I really liked her. She played hardly any game (she won Veto once and Battle Of The Block twice I think), but she played a great floater game really. She was aligned with the right people, so when she was nominated (pretty much every week as a pawn to ensure the other person went) they all kept her in. Outside of the fact she was a non-entity game wise, Victoria was pretty funny and very likeable, especially in her diary room segments. I really wanted to play the perfect game move and win, it would have been amazing to see her beat Derrick and Cody. On another note, I’d rather Cody won in the end, but oh well. He isn’t in this countdown though so clearly wasn’t that great tongue.gif

41 Kate Henry (Great British Bake Off, 6th)

Just missing out on the top 40 is furniture restorer Kate, who was pretty fabulous. She was a bit of a QoL all the way through, and I felt she was someone I could really root for. Her bakes were fairly consistent, and she had a lot of praise, except for maybe the time the ham in her bread was still raw laugh.gif And of course her elimination. I kinda find it hard to say anything about Bake Off contestants, but I like them, that's enough! tongue.gif

Victoria wub.gif Easily one of my favourite reality contestants from 2014, only because she looked like she was completely out of it the majority of the time and didn't have a clue where she was or what game she was supposed to be playing! laugh.gif

40 Darcy Oake (Britain’s Got Talent, 5th)

Darcy was pretty much the best of Britain’s Got Talent in 2014… In fact, he was about all that a pretty crap series had to offer! As well as what you see above (smoke.gif) Darcy’s magic act was genuinely thrilling and exciting, his audition really had me gripped! That was certainly a welcome change from endless predictable kid singers and dancers or classical acts….. Admittedly, we kind of knew what was coming in his final performance (and that’s why magic acts often struggle on BGT) as we’d seen him twice already, but regardless I loved his act.

39 Pixie Lott (Strictly Come Dancing, 6th)

Poor Pixie </3 Not content with her most recent album bombing, Pixie tried her hand at the BBC celebrity ballroom dancing show. Pixie wowed the judges each week, and was pretty much always near the top of the leaderboard. She was a frontrunner to win and I still think she was probably the most talented of the bunch… However she landed in the bottom 2 with SIMON BLOODY WEBBE and ended up being sent home in the dance-off by the judges, probably just to facilitate a shock elimination because she was 2nd on the scoreboard that week. That, or perhaps the public didn’t take to her but tbh she seemed likeable and the public did vote Caroline effing Flack as the winner weeks later...

38 XOX (The X Factor AU, 10th)

Ugh, it sucks how underrated these girls were! Of Dannii’s groups, these were the only ones with REAL talent and potential, but I don’t know what went wrong sad.gif They were bottom 2 in the second week against their (awful) fellow group Younger Than Yesterday but thankfully the judges unanimously voted to eliminate Younger Than Yesterday. However, they fell back there two weeks later and weren’t as lucky against Natalie’s boy Tee - only their mentor Dannii voted to eliminate Tee sad.gif These girls were modern, polished and had an incredible rapper in Serenity. Tbf the talent was so incredible that most of the acts ahead of them were great anyway but they were too good to just be 10th sad.gif

37 Milk (RuPaul’s Drag Race, 9th)

Milk was an odd one… Throughout the series, her style raised eyebrows and had everyone talking - from her choice to wear a beard in drag to her bizarre decision to dress as male RuPaul in a Ru focused runway challenge! She isn’t your typical drag queen, but that’s what I love. Similarly to Sharon Needles, she brought something rarely seen in Drag Race that can’t really be replicated. That’s what I want in a drag queen, that “x factor” (for want of a better word) - not just a paegant queen who smiles and looks pretty. There are still three Drag Race alumni to come though!

36 Beth Tweddle (Dancing On Ice, 3rd)

The second of two entrants for Dancing On Ice’s all star series, Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle! Just a year after winning DOI, Beth returned for the final series which pitted her against classic contestants, and she really held her own. Beating out most of them, she managed to get to the final and I think of them all she went on a journey (again - she really improved over the course of her first series too) and got even better. She’s such a lovely lady too!

35 Only The Young (X Factor UK, 7th)

From the auditions stage, I always knew these guys were a breath of fresh air! They started off the live shows as potential dark horses, but they did land in the bottom 2 in week 3 and were frankly lucky to survive after one of the worst sing-off performances of all time… But I’ll put that down to nerves because they really had “it”otherwise. There was a “gap in the market” to use the old cliche, and they were good fun without being a novelty act. Their best performance was definitely Monster Mash <3

34 Alison Hammond (Strictly Come Dancing, 10th)

The second highest out of all the Strictly contestants! I watched this series almost solely for Alison, what a woman <3 I have loved her since Big Brother, I was gutted she was out so soon in I’m A Celebrity and always love her when I see her on This Morning. She’s just a bundle of fun, she doesn’t take herself too seriously and she wasn’t too bad at dancing either so didn’t end up as the annoying novelty act who ousts many talented dancers… Sadly this was a hugely competitive year and she only came 10th sad.gif

33 Sabrina Batshon (The Voice AU, semi-finalist)

The second and final Aussie The Voice contestant is next, she is the second highest out of all The Voice contestants (Britain has beat her!) - although there are a few Aussie singers from another show to come... Sabrina’s powerful voice was her weapon, and she was a potential winner imo! Her most memorable moment was Chandelier, which is obviously a tough song to sing but she made it seem effortless <3 It’s a shame that Jackson Thomas beat her to the final out of Ricky’s team, but he was pretty talented too.

32 Andrea Faustini (X Factor UK, 3rd)

The Italian cuddly teddy bear <3 Andrea won the hearts of Britain the second he walked in with his pug t-shirt, but you’re lying if you didn’t expect him to be terrible before he sang… But we all love a “SuBo moment”... Andrea opened his mouth and I was stunned from the very first note! So much soul, passion and emotion came out along with the words <3 He was so talented, and a very likeable fun guy too. I kinda want to marry him and buy pugs to name after the Spice Girls… He could easily have won, but I think the producers saw him as a real threat to whoever their intended winner happened to be and he was bussed a bit after around week 4 or 5 (NEVER FORGET the gold painted Andrea who was forced to belt out Relight My Fire on Halloween week). He ultimately came 3rd, landing in the sing-off twice in the process. Interestingly, Lauren Platt was actually above him votes wise in the semi-final so he’s very lucky the judges decided to send him through!

31 Jocasta Odom (BBUS, 11th)

Ah Jocasta <3 Much like Victoria earlier in the game, she was so irrelevant game-wise. She played NO game at all, she didn’t even really win anything (aside from Battle Of The Block). However, her diary room moments were quite frankly LIFE GIVING and she’s easily the most gif-able contestant of BB16! She was just fabulous, I wish she had tried a bit more because to be fair the whole point of the game is to play… Arguably Victoria did play by being a floater - she at least made sure she was in with the right people. Sadly, Jocasta was friends with the “outsiders” so she was bumped off fairly quickly.

Posted by: Uptown Froot 7th February 2015, 06:52 PM

Jocasta was my favourite.

So unnoteworthy gameplaying wise but so hilarious.

30 Chetna Makan (Great British Bake Off, 4th)

QUEEN OF FLAVOUR <3 Fashion designer Chetna wowed most weeks with her imaginative bakes, each time incorporating different flavours. Her Indian background fed her love of spice, which gave her a bit of an edge over some of the others. If I were to be asked to try someone’s baking from series, I think I’d be adventurous and plump for Chetna’s, she always made you want to taste her creations.

29 Zach Rance (BBUS, 9th)

Zach was totally mad, but the fact he was such a mess was most of his appeal! He was one of the homoerotic duo "Zankie" (a Tumblr fave right there I can assure you) alongside Frankie Grande, the horrific brother of Ariana, and was initially not too liked tbh. But he soon became a fan favourite and his eviction rocked Twitter, in fact I'd bet that he was probably 2nd to Donny in the America's favourite favourite houseguest vote. Zach was fun, cute, mischievous and always totally entertaining. Maybe not the best player, but he was far better to watch that meticulous Derrick for example.

LIAM - I've been shit with following over the last week, SO BUSY. Haven't even been contributing to my own countdown.
Thoughts/Highlights!

Katie: Obviously on mine as well. Cut too soon.
Caleb: Yum.
Winston: Yay for not making the final!
Jason: Sacrificial lamb so Priya could stay. I was fine with him leaving when he did.
Victoria: WAII is she on here, Didn't even make the Top 100, probably not even the top 200 for me.
Jacosta: Didn't appear in the Top 100 for me, but she did have some *.* moments. But again another sacrificial lamb so someone so much more relevant could stay.
Zach: <3. Such a star.

28 Ben DeLa Creme (RuPaul’s Drag Race, 4th)

The third highest Drag Race alumni is 2014’s Miss Congeniality, who placed fifth. Ru’s decision to take Darienne Lake into the semi over Ben was controversial among fans, but it happened… Ben was a hilarious queen, winning the famous Snatch Game round with his amazing Maggie Smith, and he came across as wholly likeable. He was fairly polished too, and rarely had a bad week, I’d have had him in the final along with the two to come (who are probably fairly obvious but I’ll leave them until they’re revealed later tongue.gif)...

27 Matthew Davies (BBUK, 16th)

I still haven’t worked out if he’s hot or not… Anyway, Matthew is one of the biggest “gone too early” cases from 2014’s BBUK sad.gif He wasn’t afraid to stand up for himself or go against the grain, in fact possibly his most memorable moment was his explosive argument with Helen in which she called him a “pigeon chested c**t” just because he didn’t want to join in with a game. Matthew was quite sarcastic and cutting, intelligent and could be seen as a bit snobby. He did look down on those he saw as “lesser”, so maybe that was his downfall? Either way, it came down to him, Mark, Christopher, Winston and Ash in week 4 and he was ousted about 4 weeks too early at the very least sad.gif

Posted by: Liаm 10th February 2015, 12:14 AM

26 Sydnee Carter (X Factor AU, 9th)

Following Bella Ferraro and Jiordan Tolli, Sydnee was 2014’s quirky voiced young female. Like her predecessors, Sydnee established herself as an early favourite with her unique voice and stripped back performances. Despite this, I can’t say her early elimination was much of a shock… From around bootcamp stage, she kept forgetting her words and I think she peaked too early. She was great (otherwise she wouldn't be here tongue.gif) but in the eyes of the public (and the judges actually) she just couldn't recapture the pure magic of her audition. Ultimately, she finished 4 places lower than Jiordan and 5 lower than Bella. Jiordan >>>> tho.

If you like quirky voices, enjoy her performance of Say Something, which was probably her best:

25 Edele Lynch (CBB14, 6th)

Edele was one of only two saving graces for CBB14, the worst series of any BB ever imo. We all know and love B*Witch'd for the fact they graced us with the incredible pop classic C'est la vie, and Edele was too likeable not to continue my love. She wasn't that exciting at all, and the producers were too busy forcing Gary Busey on us to give her much airtime... But Edele was just so lovely and kept me watching for a bit once the huge saviour of the series was evicted. Just a bit, I gave up about a week before the end drama.gif

Edele was amazing heart.gif She was 1 of the 2 saving graces of the series (along with frenchy and maybe Stephanie as I finally started to love her in like her last 2 episodes). I did really enjoy the series and found it great and entertaining but most of the housemates were horrible and awful sad.gif

Posted by: Rabbit Froot 10th February 2015, 03:25 PM

Matthew was by far my favourite housemate of BB15. I STILL don't understand how he was evicted in that week. Gone WAY before his time, where Marlon and Ash contributed heavily to the rest of the series of course smile.gif

Marlon really should have been in my worst countdown, but he was too unmemorable clearly laugh.gif

24 Frankie Bridge (Strictly Come Dancing, runner-up)

Lee AGOG. Arguably the most known Saturday (except maybe Rochelle ew), Frankie raised her profile a little more by competing in the most recent series of Strictly. Frankie was one of the front runners all the way, and proved very popular with the public as she was the only member of the final four to have never faced the dance-off. Unfortunately, Frankie virtually ALWAYS seemed to be undermarked (it was just a single mark usually by a couple of a judges, but this year was so tight) whilst a few others were overmarked so she only topped the scoreboard a couple of times… Ultimately she finished as runner-up to Caroline Flack. She is also runner-up when it comes to dancing contestants here, just by two places!

23 Christina Marie (The Voice UK, runner-up)

Bristol represent <3 Christina is from Fishponds which is only about a 15 minute drive away from where I live! As with the past two series, series three of The Voice ended with a potential star being denied the win in favour of a dull plain contestant. Just like Tyler James/Bo Bruce and Leah McFall, Christina seemed like a ready made star with an incredible voice, she powered through the show easily with amazing performances. Her best one was definitely Everlong imo! Sadly, the voting public were just… mad really and voted for the terminally dull Jermain Jackman to win. Christina recently released a single which flopped massively sad.gif

Posted by: JosephStyles 11th February 2015, 11:40 PM

Christina Marie wub.gif loved her on The Voice, such a huge missed opportunity for that show to produce a star (we've had Becky Hill but she's not had any hits in her own right)

They don't even seem to claim Becky drama.gif You'd think that they'd at least try to make the artists a success, I think Becky was just lucky to feature on a couple of the right songs as much as she could easily do it herself with support.

22 Ricki-Lee Coulter (Dancing With The Stars AU, 3rd)

Poor irrelevant Ricki-Lee had massive Aussie top 20 hits in 2011/2 with Do It Like That and Raining Diamonds but aside from that her music career hasn’t really been relevant since like 2007… So she was a perfect fit for Dancing With The Stars really, which was convienient given she released her best ever album at the same time as competing tongue.gif I hadn’t watch DWTS Australia before, so she actually made me watch the whole series ohmy.gif She was a great dancer, and so so likeable <3 She was sadly one of those contestants where you just had that niggling feeling she wouldn’t win. That feeling was right; ultimately she was 3rd behind the winner (some kind of sports star) and runner-up Lynne McGranger (Irene from Home & Away). At least her album was fab, even if it only got to #14 in Aus and sold peanuts. She is the highest dancing contestant here, slaying Frankie Bridge, so she’s got something I guess smoke.gif

21 Christopher Hall (BBUK, 3rd)

Just missing out on top 20 is the lovely Christopher Hall <3 Christopher started slow, but he soon came into his own and was probably the most easily likeable contestant of BB15. He wasn’t perfect - he was very sensitive for example - but his flaws made him all the more rootable. He wasn’t as much of a pushover as people liked to think either, he would stand up for himself when needed. He is exactly the kind of person who deserves to win really, nice but not too boring…. I kinda felt like he could snatch the win at the end, him and Ashleigh would have been a fabulous top 2 *.*

Posted by: Liаm 12th February 2015, 06:24 PM

20 Liz Jones (CBB13, 9th)

Kicking of the top 20 is someone I never thought I’d like! I knew of her controversial journalism before she went in and thought she’d be just awful and nasty… She was very odd, but intruiging and the most weirdly endearing housemate I’ve seen in ages! Liz had 0 self confidence, she didn’t care much for other people (not in a way that made her horrible, she was just not the most sociable of people) and did not seem to enjoy the experience one bit. All of that should have made her unlikeable, but these flaws are what made her shine. In a series full of cocky, awful, nasty or just plain miserable people, Liz was a breath of fresh air. Her in the bath with Luisa has to be probably the best CBB moment ever...

19 Angelique “Frenchy” Morgan (CBB14, 11th)

Another CBB housemate now, the second highest here ohmy.gif Frenchy pretty much carried the horrific CBB14 by herself. She was absolutely batshit crazy, bloshy, loud, hella entertaining and just generally amazing. A total hot mess, she was just what every series needs to stir things up without being too nasty. Well, unless nasty is cutting up the awfully annoying Leslie Jordan’s underwear which led to him being “scared for his life” laugh.gif Which I guess in a way it is. But still, Frenchy was an absolute gem who was gone too soon and her eviction just ruined the series because those left were either just nice (Edele, who I did love, and Lauren for example), ruined themselves (Dee and George to an extent) or were just downright f***ing awful (Gary).

Posted by: Liаm 12th February 2015, 10:22 PM

18 Caitlyn Shadbolt (X Factor AU, 5th)

Even as I type it’s still amazing she came 5th! When her mentor, Ronan Keating, chose Caitlyn for the live shows, Twitter fans didn’t seem to be too pleased. Myself included admittedly, I couldn’t believe he’d binned Chloe Papandrea for her! I really thought Caitlyn would last maybe three weeks max at first… But from her first performance she proved that she really deserved her place, and she just kept getting better. Despite being kind of pigeonholed as a country artist, Ronan made her sing stuff like Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off, Bon Jovi, Paramore and Carole King. I think this might be what made her last so long, it showed that even though she knew exactly what kind of artist she was but was happy to try other things. In fact, her Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow performance was her best and most likely in my top 5 XF Aus performances of the series <3

17 Travis Lunardi (BBAU, 2nd)

Travis is notable (along with his beau Aisha) for being part of a couple who were actually likeable ohmy.gif I have to say I didn’t love Travis right off the bat; he was annoying to start with. This showed in the amount of times he was nominated - he annoyed his fellow housemates too. But Travis soon emerged as a normal, likeable guy, and he filled the “normal Aussie bloke” quota WAY better than bloody Ryan. He was funny, cheeky, lovable and didn’t have a bad bone in his body really! Everybody wants a friend like Travis - annoying but all the more lovable for it and you just can’t hate him.

Posted by: Liаm 13th February 2015, 10:22 PM

16 Martha Collison (Great British Bake Off, 5th)

Martha was the youngest of this year's Bake Off bunch, and is the youngest in my top 20 along with Lauren Platt! She could have easily been very annoying, but she was so likeable! Martha's age meant that she had a bit of a disadvantage compared to other more experienced bakers, which sadly might be why she burned out towards the end... sad.gif Other than that though, Martha was a natural and always had some of the best ideas - even if they weren't always executed perfectly tongue.gif But she always (other than those last two weeks) tried her best with all her determination as a driving force.

15 Danielle McMahon (BBUK, 12th)

GET A LIFE YOU BLOODY WEIRDO MAN rotf.gif “Catholic good girl” Danielle, who was actually an underwear model and webcam girl, was notable for her breakdowns over blasphemy (I was HOWLING watching her sob over the fact she wa given a Bloody Mary cocktail) as well as her epic run ins with Helen (ugh, I hate to keep mentioning her name but she was sadly so central to this series) and friendship with Ashleigh (THAT WAS MY FISH). She was like a lesser Gina Rio trajectory wise, it seemed like a given she’d be out first or second but she lasted a while (sadly not until the final like Gina). And she might have lasted even longer, had the stupid Armageddon week not ousted her after Kimbot Kisselovich walked due to illness… It would have been more acceptable if she was voted off by the public, but she was evicted but newbies Pav and Zoe had the power to evict someone and chose her… Whether she was fake or not, Danielle was absolutely hilarious in so many cases - and it was mostly unintentional which was even better.

14 Nicole Franzel (BBUS, 7th)

The highest BBUS contestant is next! Nicole was an instant favourite of mine, she seemed very likeable and fun but being a BB superfan you expected her to play well. And she did play quite well, she did try with alliances, she made moves to bring down the “insiders”, she really tried to win competitions… Unfortunately, she shouldn’t have made friends with the wrong people right at the start - CHRISTINE. Christine double crossed Nicole, preferring to be in the “inside” group despite the fact they were so obviously going to ditch her first before turning on each other (Christine satisftingly was evicted the same night as Nicole!). Nicole was actually evicted twice - she won re-entry but was evicted again along with Christine two weeks later. I guess it’s good that she made it the furthest of the outside group, but she did have the help of her re-entry tongue.gif

13 Lauren Platt (X Factor UK, 4th)

The second highest X Factor UK contestant is Cheryl’s girl Lauren Platt! She was good at the auditions, but didn’t really stand out properly until the live shows imo. WIth Cheryl’s other girls all gone by week 4, Lauren was flying the flag for her category all alone. She was criticised for being dull, but she did step out of her comfort zone a bit with her performances of Dark Horse, Clarity and How Will I Know for example. She isn’t the most ready made popstar, but she had the confidence and a lovely pop voice - with work she could make it. Despite claims of her being “basic”, she was very popular in the voting throughout - she never fell out of the top 4. She was bottom 2 twice in the quarter and semi final, but she actually received more votes than Andrea in the semi so would have made the finals without the sing-off (the judges sent her home). I was pleasantly surprised she lasted so long, but I actually think she may have won if she sang as she did in I Know Where I’ve Been (when she was bottom 2 the first time) all along ohmy.gif Outstanding performance <3

12 Dean Ray (X Factor AU, 2nd)

A male singer this high? ohmy.gif In fact Dean is the highest male of any type (except for the guys behind the two fabulous Drag Race queens in the top 10 of course)! On paper, Dean is far from my "thing" but he is such a talent. He has the perfect rock tone that lends itself to pop - not too gravelly but enough to be very distinctive. And he's quite easy on the eye kink.gif I initially didn't expect Dean to be such a favourite, and I do think NatBass taking him to the lives was a risk - but her helper J-Lo wouldn't let up! And Jenny was right, by about week 3 Dean was a real contender and he gave us some amazing performances of songs like Hurt, New Sensation, The Power Of Love and Reckless. He eventually came second by less than 1%! And good for Australia, there are still 5 Aussies to come ohmy.gif

Enjoy Dean's best performance, a rendition of Nine Inch Nails'/Johnny Cash's Hurt, if you like~

11 Aisha McKinnon (BBAU, 12th)

Just missing out on the top 10 is the other half of "Trasha", the beau of #17 in this countdown Travis! Unlike the awful Clawson, the pair seemed real, genuine and are actually still together. Aisha coming 12th, being evicted before the likes of Leo, the other dull newbies and bloody Ryan, is absolutely ridiculous sad.gif I still can't believe she finished that low. Aisha seemed like an easy finalist, she was hugely likeable and genuine and just lovely, but also could stick up for herself and was feisty when needed. She was basically all the good bits about Jade from 2013, it's just she wasn't so wet (I did love Jade too), so I don't know how she finished 10 placers lower sad.gif

Posted by: Calum Hood 14th February 2015, 05:15 PM

Nicole was one of the best things about that season of BB USA. I hated when they all turned on her. sad.gif

Posted by: Liаm 14th February 2015, 05:40 PM

She should have done a Christine and got in with the right people, but then again she was evicted at the same time as Christine and probably still would have been in Christine's position of being the first one they all turned on drama.gif

----------------------

10 Skye Wheatley (BBAU, 3rd)

Kicking off the top 10 is Skye, the highest placed female from BBAU this year! Skye was a favourite to win right from the off, and was viewed as a huge threat by the other housemates due to her popularity - they knew she was popular because she was saved for eviction with the most votes so often! The one downside of this was that ironically this popularity was probably what cost her the win... Skye was quite sure that she would win, and maybe at times was a bit big for her boots. But aside from that, Skye was amazing <3 She was hilariously ditzy, lovable and just so much fun! You can easily how she endeared herself to Australia so easily.

Posted by: Liаm 14th February 2015, 05:44 PM

09 Adore Delano (RuPaul’s Drag Race, runner-up)

The second highest Drag Race alum is the queen of trash <3 We all adore Adore. She just has “it”! She started with a couple of off weeks, and was bottom 2 twice towards the end, but her run aside from that was impeccable. She won three challenges (the rap battle, make-up infomercial and glitter ball challenges) - as many as the series winner Bianca Del Rio. Adore’s big flaw was her lack of ability to step out of her comfort zone (which was probably the reason for her off weeks), but when she was on it she was really on it. Her album after the show, ‘Til Death Do Us Party, was brilliant too - especially I Adore U <3

Posted by: Liаm 15th February 2015, 03:54 PM

awks at the no1curr of it all

08 Toya Washington (BBUK, 17th)

THE PAIN OF HER BEING OUT SO EARLY THO. Still raw </3 Toya was an instant favourite for me, her sass was second to none! She wasn’t shown a lot for the first or so, but still shone. Once Toya started getting a bit more confrontational and refused to lick Helen’s arse, she was on the “wrong” side of the house popularity wise and because she was more upfront and abrasive than say Ashleigh and Chris, she was on the wrong side of the public too… Because of vote to evict, she was ousted in the only week where Ash actually did anything - I would bet he ran her close because of how awful he was that week! I still think Toya could have done a mini Gina if she managed to stay - not 3rd but I think she would have lasted a good few weeks more against the odds maybe.

I would have taken them a bit better if they weren't evicted over sooo many awful housemates sad.gif But I agree.

As an aside, I'd love an all stars series with lots of early evictees laugh.gif

Posted by: Jack 15th February 2015, 09:51 PM

Toya was everything wub.gif Her Diary Room rant was one of my favourite moments from that series.

I stopped watching properly once she left, I dont know why BB producers focused so much and favoured the bully group so much ... it was weird. I guess they wanted Helen as the winner so had to justify her getting it somehow ...

Posted by: Liаm 15th February 2015, 10:00 PM

They probably want her out drama.gif I think Ash did a lot of bad stuff that week that apparently wasn't shown... And I think it was probably close between her and Ash. sad.gif

Posted by: Jack 15th February 2015, 10:02 PM

I think Matthew and Toya leaving changed the series completely. I think it would have been a much better and more enjoyable show with them in it vs Helen and the c**t brigade.

07 Marlisa (X Factor AU, WINNER)

Even though she’s 7th, she’s still not the highest Aussie XF contestant ohmy.gif Marlisa was just 14 when she walked onto the stage to audition for Nat, Dannii, Ronan and RedFoo, but she blew them and all of Australia (and everyone everywhere else who saw the perormance) away with her pure and powerful voice. She was 15 by the end of the run, and had slayed a range of songs such as All By Myself, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Nothing Else Matters, Super Love, Titanium and Somewhere Over The Rainbow. Despite being bottom 2 in the semi final, she managed to win by less than 1% a week later, becoming the first girl (as in the category, we’ve had female over 25 winners in 2012 and 2013) to win and the youngest winner. It was amazing watching her sing Never Be The Same (her bootcamp song) again on the final with her hero Jessica Mauboy and seeing how far she came <3 Such a lovely girl too. Nothing Else matters was definitely her best though wub.gif

One more tailored for the gays than a 15 year old Fillipino balladeer kink.gif

06 Bianca Del Rio (RuPaul’s Drag Race, WINNER)

Bianca might miss out on the top 5 by a whisker, but she’s the highest winner on here and that’s something right? Bianca holds the distinction of being the only Drag Race contestant ever to avoid both having a “low” week (she was never bottom 2 either of course by extentsion), and it’s easy to see why. Bianca is unique, she isn’t just a “pretty paegant queen”. She easily took to pretty much everything like a duck to water, although comedy was her true calling. Her stand-up routine for the comedy episode is easily one of my fave Drag Race moments ever. Even in a tough series where Adore put up a good fight, Bianca was easily the right winner and is up there with Sharon Needles as my fave winner tbh <3

Posted by: Liаm 16th February 2015, 01:54 PM

And I'll reveal th top 5 in alphabetical b/c hype:

Ashleigh Coyle (BBUK)
Fleur East (X Factor UK)
Luisa Zissman (CBB13)
Priya Malik (BBAU)
Reigan Derry (X Factor AU)

Predix if anyone curr? Interestingly these all came either 2nd or 4th in their series, that's clearly the place to be.

05 Luisa Zissman (CBB13, 4th)

The highest contestant here to come from any celebrity version of anything in 2014 (another achievement I’m sure you’ll agree) is ex Apprentice star Luisa! I found CBB13 overrated by and large, but Luisa absolutely made it <3 She was fabulously cutting, hilarious and just the right amount of confrontational. She would put anyone in their place if needed, and it was always such a moment when she did! Luisa is the kind of mouthy best friend everyone secretly sort of wants for themselves really; you just know that she'd be one of the best people to have on your side. As I said with the Liz's commentary, her with Liz when Liz was acting suicidal in the bath is one of THE best CBB moments ever.

Posted by: Jack 16th February 2015, 10:32 PM

Luisa was amazing in the house, my favourite Celebrity contestant from the C5 celebrity series.

Shame she is quite annoying now sad.gif.

Posted by: Liаm 16th February 2015, 10:37 PM

I usually agree with her on BOTS but she called my tweet bollocks once laugh.gif I said something like "Steven acts like he does because he thinks that people will see him as someone not to messed with", I didn't say I thought that Steven wasn't to be messed with I just meant he THINKS that (because everyone knows he had a very high opinion of himself), but she took it the wrong way drama.gif

04 Fleur East (X Factor UK, 2nd)

Fleur was ROBBED. She was a “proper” pop-star; she was ready made. She could dance, sing, rap and perform brilliantly, and (perhaps most importantly) she had the attitude! I had Fleur pegged as week 1 fodder, I thought she’d last until week 3 at the absolute maximum!! This is because Fleur had the odds stacked against her. Female? check. In the overs category? Check. Confident? Check. A rapper? Check. Attractive? Check. She had the makings of a contestant who’d be hated if anything. But Fleur easily made it through every week, only falling near bottom 2 once (at the top 5 stage). This is the reason I was so happy to see her do well is because it’s good to have a surprise in XF - it’s always so predictable… But in the end, predictablity prevailed and Ben Haenow (a safe “”””hot”””””” male with a rocky “”””singing”””” “”””voice”””””) won over her, but Fleur is signed to Syco so fingers crossed for her!

Frenchy and Martha are also amazing wub.gif

catching up~

Luisa was definitely one of the most entertaining from that series of CBB, and I agree that the moment in the bathroom with Liz was just one of the best ever. <3 Obviously she was nowhere near as amazing as Casey tho kink.gif

Toya smile.gif

Fleur never really wowed me on the show at all, which is a shame as she has all the makings of a pop star, but there's definitely a bit of fine tuning needing done. The first performance of 'Uptown Funk', I'd say, definitely wasn't as groundbreaking and spectacular as it's made out to be, and the second time around I was just bored, lol. Am definitely looking forward to hearing an album of hers though!

03 Priya Malik (BBAU, 4th)

UNAPOLOGETICALLY PRIYA <3 Coming one place higher than she did in BBAU, Priya is top 3 here. And what a deserving top 3er she is! As the first housemate in the house, Priya was also the first power housemate and she instantly made her mark. She was one of the only people to notably clash with the other half of her "pair" (pairing housemates was the launch night twist), Katie, because both were strong women with opposing views. Throughout the show, Priya was a fan favourite (at least WW, sadly not Australia it seems given she came close to being evicted a couple of times) and it's easy to see why. She took no shit, but always dealt with things perfectly, and she was a loyal and hilarious person. She was also one of the few people who used the power properly in her two terms as Power Housemates. I didn’t expect Priya to last as long as she did, but I’m sure as hell very glad she made 4th <3 Without her, this series would have been absolutely awful really - her and Skye carried it alone really for me once Aisha left so early! She knows of my existence too, I DM’d her on Instagram to say how much I supported her throughout and how she should have won and she thanked me *.*

That leaves an Aus vs. UK top 2 ohmy.gif But who will be the winner here?

Posted by: Liаm 25th February 2015, 11:05 PM

HERE WE GO, THE WHOLE OF BUZZJACK IS SO EXCITED!11!11!

kink.gif

02 Ashleigh Coyle (BBUK, 2nd)

In the runner-up position, just the same as her actual position, Ashleigh Coyle represents the UK as the highest UK contestant! At first, the Irish beauty seemed like fodder really, the sort who’d sail through to near the final because she’s too nice to be nominated… But by god was I wrong! Ashleigh slowly emerged as the main opposer of horrible Helen, but rather than being as loud and mouthy as her rival Ashleigh was sneaky, devious and clever with how she played the game. For someone who seemed like a sweet girl next door, Ashleigh was a real ice queen but was all the better for it. With every “c**t” or “little bitch” that flew out of Helen’s mouth, Ashleigh would have a gif-able facial expression, and with every one she just grew and grew in my affections. I cannot say a bad word about this girl, to be 18 years old and last 72 days in a house ruled by a vile, shouty, vulgar “woman” who’s pushing 30 with a vendetta is just astounding in itself but do so in such an endearing way whilst being so self assured is something else. For many reasons, Ashleigh is truly one of my absolute all time favourite BB contestants - it’s just a shame she was in such a shit series!!

01 Reigan Derry (X Factor AU, 4th)

So that leaves an Aussie at #1, shocker ;o Reigan is the queen of all things reality for 2014! I loved her band Scarlett Belle’s song Closure, so I was naturally excited that she was auditioning for this but as soon as the first line left her mouth, I knew she was something special. Contrary to Scarlett Belle’s manufactured pop sound, Reigan’s audition was so pure and emotional - you could feel every word. She went on to perform Linkin Park and Bruno Mars after her Adele audition and became a real contender to win! The live shows saw her simply fly ahead of many of the others, singing (and rapping, in the case of Jessie J’s Bang Bang) everything from Katy Perry to Radiohead to Britney Spears to John Farnham to Florence & The Machine. SHE EVEN MADE STAY WITH ME SOUND AMAZING. Every time she sang, Reigan left me simply spellbound and just owned the song <3 For whatever stupid reasons, Reigan was bottom 2 twice - once following a perormance of John Farnham’s Burn For You and again following peformances of Only Love Can Hurt Like This and Can’t Remeber To Forget You. Her stunning showdown perfoamnce of Rihanna’s Stay was enough to save her the first time, but sadly Hallelujah was not enough the second time and deadlock sent her home against the eventual winner Marlisa. Reigan not winning (although I of course adore Marlisa, and indeed Dean) is still just baffling - she really had it all. Her best perfomances were Chandelier, Stay With Me, Stay, Dog Days Are Over, Unconditionally and Burn For You - don’t make me choose just one </3 Her debut single All Of The Pieces (#33 Aussie smash!!1!1) was epic too, the song that Ella Henderson’s Glow should have been. She absolutely needs to hurry up with her album and slay us all. Or do Eurovision. Preferably both ASAP. Check out all ha slayage below ~
