John Newman came on the scene in the summer of 2012 when at the same time we were introduced to the dance act Rudimental. His debut got to #1 in the UK charts and so did his official solo debut single Love Me Again. His distinctive vocals have helped him to get some big hits during his career. He recently announced that he was taking a break from making music, but in the last 8 years or so he has worked with a handful of well known producers and these are his features to date; Feel The Love (with Rudimental) Not Giving In (with Rudimental & Alex Clare) Blame (with Calvin Harris) Give Me Your Love (with Sigala & Nile Rodgers) Never Let You Go (with Kygo) Crawling (with Chase & Status) High On You (with Sigma) Which of his current dance features is your favourite? Which dance producers would you like to see him feature with in the future? I haven’t found his recent features to be all that impressive so they rank toward the bottom of his dance collaborations, but I have rated them as follows; 1. Blame (with Calvin Harris) 2. Feel The Love (with Rudimental) 3. Give Me Your Love (with Sigala & Nile Rodgers) 4. Never Let You Go (with Kygo) 5. Not Giving In (with Rudimental & Alex Clare) 6. Crawling (with Chase & Status) 7. High On You (with Sigma) Being as he is taking a break it seems like it could be a while until we see him feature on another dance track, but as he seems to work most with British producers I’ve tipped him to make a song someday with Example and Groove Armada. |

Blame
I love that distorted electric guitar sound, which is probably also why 'Feel So Close' is my favourite Calvin track. I wish he'd do more of that. |
