BuzzJack Music Forum _ News and Politics _ Which way did your area vote?

Posted by: vidcapper Jun 24 2016, 02:48 PM

My area (Cheltenham) voted 56-44 for Remain (*)

(*) It's possible my part of the town fell into the Tewkesbury voting area though, in which case it would be 53-47 for Leave.

Newham - 60-40 IN. Which surprises me as we have a lot of immigrants here.

Posted by: Qween Jun 24 2016, 02:52 PM

Remain, 60.4/39.6. One of the good things about living in a nationalist constituency.

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 Jun 24 2016, 02:57 PM

Remain by 55%, glad my area voted towards remain, shame about the actual result sad.gif

Posted by: princess_lotti Jun 24 2016, 02:57 PM

My hometown was 60% leave

Posted by: Liаm Jun 24 2016, 03:10 PM

Plymouth where I voted (my uni town) was 59.94% leave and 40.06% remain :/

Posted by: Jade Jun 24 2016, 03:12 PM

Posted by: Taylor Jago Jun 24 2016, 03:25 PM

Northampton voted 58% Leave/42% Remain on a 73% turnout.

(Well, I live on the other side of the Channel but Northampton is my hometown so I consider that to be my area)

Posted by: Brett-Butler Jun 24 2016, 03:31 PM

North Belfast - Remain 50.4%
There was only about 300 votes in it.

Posted by: Regina Jun 24 2016, 03:33 PM

Stirling, like all of Scotland, saw sense of voted remian. 67.7% apparantly.

Posted by: ℒ𝓲𝓷⻤ Jun 24 2016, 03:34 PM

Perth & Kinross 61% remain happy.gif

I'm quite surprised at it being that much tbh, there's a lot of old people here laugh.gif

I currently live on the border of Salford and Trafford, just inside the former who voted leave.

However I grew up and cast my vote in Fife who, as Regina pointed out, voted remain to make it all 32 Scottish Councils on the same team

Posted by: Hazza Chapman Jun 24 2016, 03:52 PM

My area voted 78.5% for Remain, 21.5% for Leave

It's a shame that the majority of the UK didn't agree.

Posted by: Andr00w Jun 24 2016, 04:04 PM

Very proud to say that like everywhere else in Scotland, Aberdeen City voted to remain by a fantastic 61.1%. It's great living in one of the 129 areas not clueless as f***.

Posted by: RobinJuanPersie Jun 24 2016, 04:08 PM

We voted 50.7% - 49.3 to leave. sad.gif

Waltham Forest was 59-40 towards Remain, was never gonna go other way really, just like the rest of London.

Even though I'm disgusted to be British right now, I am still proud to be a Londoner and live amongst people that recognise what good multiculturalism and sticking together does http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-36620401

Cornwall REMAIN 43.5% 56.5% LEAVE

SW England REMAIN 47.4% 52.6% LEAVE

Posted by: LexC Jun 24 2016, 05:00 PM

Fareham was 55/45 to Leave which is a lower margin than I thought it would be but I guess with all the 4 families that have moved in since 2007 meant people think that Immigration was too damn high.

sad.gif It gets SO much from the EU as well but there was no way it was going any other way.

Exeter was a rare light of sense in the SW (as usual) although I've moved out of there now.

I don't know if my polling location technically falls into Reading or West Berkshire. Both were remain though (58-42 for Reading, 51.8-48.2 for West Berkshire).

39.1% Remain

Turnout: 72.3%

Posted by: Rooney Jun 24 2016, 10:13 PM

58 remain - 42 leave - York

Funny how a lot of EU funded cites are the biggest leavers. Cornwall deserves all that is coming to it, that Guardian article that is going round is a joke rotf.gif

My area was like 62-38 to leave! Awful!

Posted by: Harve Jun 25 2016, 02:25 AM

39% leave.
