Following on from last year's solid release 'Torpedo', Feeder are back with new music! 'Playing With Fire' and 'ELF' released earlier today as a "double A-side" single.

'The Knock' and 'Soldiers of Love' released last week:
'The Knock' is probably my standout of the 4 so far! |

I love classic Feeder and I think I liked some of their previous era but I'm not really feeling any of this new stuff.

‘Lost In The Wilderness’ is by far my favourite from this era so far. ‘Hey You’ is nice enough - sounded better when I saw them live than it does on tape judging on the first couple of listens.
Anyway looking forward to hearing the album in full next week. |

I'm quite enjoying both 'Lost in the Wilderness' and 'Hey You' out of them all. They're all slightly generic, but have great choruses so I'm not going to complain.

Just noticing this thread! I don't post Feeder threads anymore due to a fear of a lack of response (terrible pun intended)...
I'm really enjoying the album actually! Noticed a chequerboard vinyl that I missed out on (which was limited to 350 and has sold out, though some resellers have it for £70 on eBay). Overwise, I'm my usual crazy self keeping up the collection with all the formats available! I have a huge collection that needs to be maintained lol (I did resist the test pressing at £100 which was available when I pre-ordered though! Normally it being sold out makes the decision on purchasing those for me 😂) Really liking ELF, Playing with Fire, Vultures, Sahara, Hey You (has grown on me, it's a decent pop song...), The Knock (which I think is still my fave), Sleeping Dogs Lie, Lost in the Wilderness and Memory Loss! Soldiers of Love is still rubbish, no bagpipes can hide that. 😂 Saw them at Cambridge, was glad to hear a couple of rarities (and lucky to be on an early date of the tour, as one of them was removed from the set after a few shows... Replaced with Come Back Around, which I've seen live at least 8 times 😂) Generic indie is kinda their brand. I didn't expect Hey You, but overall it's pretty much given me what I expected so no complaints! |
