I am just putting the finishing touches, to my results and coming up in the #40 position, will be a non-album single, so any guess as to what that will be.

Oh gosh at my average I can't complain though, Britney's discography is so strong
Ooh La La last surely? Although I'd much prefer S&M... |

You don't have to look like a movie star #40. Ooh La La | The Smurfs 2 soundtrack Avg. 4.243 Highest Scores: 10: (Ultraviolence1989, Regina), 8: (hotchoc26, *Rob*, Ivica, DionTheSats123) Lowest Scores: -1/0: (Luciano, Beatrix Kiddo, Vulker, ***, 152chris, harryflynn0908, Explozian, Jade, Addy King) Starting off our countdown, and crashing and burning at the bottom position is 'Ooh La, La', which comes as a surprise to no-one, and many of you guessed it and considering the amount of low scores it's received, consisting of 9 -1's and 0's, and plus another 10 of you rated this under 5. This was bridged as a stop gap between her last album and her then upcoming 8th studio album. Plus it features on the equally terrible Smurfs 2' movie, which was critically panned. I know Britney had to tone down her usual sexiness for a kids movie, but come on, surely the production team could have produced something better than this, okay it's nice enough and everything and plus it is quite catchy, but the terrible autotune, just ruins it and Britney is capable of so much better than this. Also of note this was the only song in this rate, not to score more than 200 points, which is pretty lame and despite a couple of decent rates, consisting of 2 10's, 5 8's and a couple of 7's, there were just way too many low scores to give it a decent average. Upon release it flopped pretty much everywhere and did nothing for her career.

We're just so pretty! #39. Pretty Girls (Ft Iggy Azalea) Avg. 4.833 Highest Scores: 10(Ultraviolence1989), 9.5/9: (JoeyJeppssonWall, #Cody Slayberry, DionTheSats123), 8.5/8: (Mr Pmt, JohnJo07, *Rob*, Ivica, RiseR) Lowest Rates: -1/0: (hotchoc26, Liam, ***, Eyes, 152chris, Regina, Chart Wizard, LushLifeLee) At #39 we have 'Pretty Girls', which features former flavour of the month Iggy Azalea and was released in May 2015. This was another attempt for Britney to try and revive her flagging career, after previously enlisting Will.I.AM, for her last album (which flopped and alienated fans) and now Iggy, whose had success in 2014 with singles such as "Fancy" and "Problem", featuring Charli XCX & Ariana Grande, respectively. But this didn't match the success of those and Iggy even had the cheek to blame Britney for it. Well I have to say NO... Iggy, it's not Britney's fault, it's the fact that the song isn't very good and just another generic piece of radio friendly trash, that didn't connect with the public and plus Iggy your 15 minutes of fame is starting to wear off and she's no longer chuck out any old crap and hope that it will sell. Britney's been in the business for 17 years and has shown consistently that with good songs, she can rise to the top. As for Iggy Azalea, I feel that her time is wearing thin and just another flash in the pan act, that will fade away very soon. Upon release the song didn't perform too well by peaking at #29 on the US Top 100, and peaked at #16 on the UK charts before plummeting down very fast and elsewhere it didn't reach top 10 on any major music charts worldwide.

Pretty Girls isn't THAT bad. Though I'm pressed she replaced 'I Wanna Go' with it on her Vegas setlist. Hopefully it's gone and replaced with something better by the time I see her...

The beat was going strong, playing my favourite song #38. I Love Rock And Roll | Britney Avg. 5.071 Highest Rates: 9: (DionTheSats123, LushLifeLee), 8: (Luciano, Ivica, Joe, Robot) Lowest Rates: -1/0: (Mr Pmt, Casey, ***, 152chris, PAJ88, Jade) At #38 we lose the first of Britney's album singles, 'I Love Rock And Roll', released in May 2002 in some countries as the 4th single from her 3rd self titled album 'Britney' and fifth and final single in the UK, in November 2002. The song was originally sung by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, and was covered by Britney for her one and only movie 'Crossroads'. Where this track should have stayed honestly, and I don't think releasing it as a single was smart move either, despite a sexy leather clad music video, where Britney really gives it her all. But clever Britney thought that the original artist behind this song was 'Pat Benetar', which was quite funny. But the song itself isn't very challenging, as basically anyone could hit those not so hard to reach notes. Britney's version of this, often ends up on the worst covers of alltime countdowns, and can see why, it totally misses the mark and Britney just sounds so disconnected from the whole thing, and at the end of the day, why was this released as a single in the first place, where there are much better tracks on that album, that could have been released instead. Upon release it didn't fare too badly on the charts worldwide by reaching top 10 peaks in Portugal, Hungary, Germany, Ireland and Austria, while managing top 20 peaks in Australia, UK, Belgium, Sweden, Netherlands, Finland and Italy. In the USA however it failed to chart completely.

Loneliness up ahead, emptiness behind #37. From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart | Baby One More Time Avg. 5.474 Highest Rates: 11: (PAJ88), 10: (Ivica), 8.5: (Blackout) Lowest Rates: 0: (Mr Pmt, Eyes), 2: (152chris, Jade) At #37 we have the sickly sweet 'From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart', the first of her debut album singles to drop out here. Released in December 1999 as the fifth and final single from her 'Baby One More Time' album, for the USA and Oceania markets only. A nice enough track where Britney displays both depth and maturity at such a young age, (she was 18 at the time), with lyrics that deal with heartbreak, loss, and longing for closure as well as for another chance. Yes the song is very cheesy and the production is very much dated, but that still doesn't take away the fact, that how beautiful and cutesy this song is. Upon release the song performed well on the USA charts by reaching #14 giving her 4th top 30 hit, and peaked at #25 on the Canadian charts. It was only given a release in 2 other countries, Australia where it found moderate success at #37, but fared better in New Zealand by reaching #20. Elsewhere 'Born To Make You Happy', was released instead, which proved to be the better choice and became more successful in it's own right.
