It just seems weird that a tropical summer sounding song gonna be Christmas number 1

I agree, 'Rockabye' is not a tropical house track. It's more like 90s Ace Of Base/'Sex On The Beach' with an updated twist if anything.

I am immensely bored of it now though.

Yes at the Ace of Base comparison! I'm always reminded of 'All That She Wants' whenever I hear 'Rockabye' and it's not just to do with the similar lyrical theme.

Ditto, in fact I've been playing 'Rockabye' back to back with the Mowlo remix of 'All That She Wants' in my DJ sets recently!

Btw do check out the Mowlo remix, it really refreshes the track well:

A lot would moan even more if all 20 Premier League teams fans tried to get their song into the charts at Christmas and also the Scottish Premier League.

Little Mix v Rangers- how bizarre. I don't think Celtic fans have started their own campaign.

It's only for a week people. Don't moan about it.

However these chart campaigns will never come close to RATM at all.

Glasnevin was the Celtic fans campaign. The Rangers one was started as a challenge to beat them

September Song would be top ten if that Rangers thing didn't exist - kind of counts as a moral iTunes top 10 placing tongue.gif

It contains steel drums therefore it is 'tropical' even if it isn't house. As I said the verses have similar 'tropical' production to a lot of Clean Bandit songs, even back to A&E. The only Clean Bandit singles that aren't in any way tropical in terms of production are Mozart's House (electro house mixed with classical), Stronger (funky house and deep house in the drop and a lot of UK garage influence in the verses), Tears (funky house) and Real Love (deep house).

There really needs to be 'less' tropical production in the charts imo.
