Oh I thought Five Knives had a pretty good chance of winning this, as if they're only 14th! (No one let Cody see this). Very surprised at KSHMR missing the top 10 as well (the first time they've ever missed the top 10 in a BJSC thing I think).

13th is a nice result for 'Requiem' although aw if it's only a few points off the top 10.

I definitely did not expect Spor to be anywhere near the top 10, oh my I'd probably guess at either Two Steps From Hell or Jorja Smith winning out of those 10.

Almost top ten is a good result considering 'Jammu' originally placed just 10th in its contest, yay!

TALENT WINS COMES 4TH

I've thought for a long time that 'Pacifica' was ahead of its time and would do a lot better if I entered it now but it turns out I am even more right than I thought (even after it getting a pretty meh response on the plug session many moons ago iirc). Glad to have eventually introduced the song to a good handful of people who weren't around for it the first time xo

Lovely to see 'Resonate' in the top 5 as well! This whole top 5 is fantastique, rooting for Two Steps to win but any of them will be great x

NO WAY!!! Well I never expected that to happen when I entered ONUKA, was hoping for a repeat of low top 10 again at best well, that's excellent. I suppose they did get Eurovision interval exposure since I entered them. Incredible runner up also! And yup, 200 points is highly satisfying <3 should probably update my national thread now at last thanks so much for this Lindsey, it was definitely worth the wait if I say so myself!!

But hey I didn't help myself here I guess, congrats Jade! A beautiful song, I can't remember how it did in it's contest but glad to see justice done x Great to see Pacifica getting some justice too, that was my 12 at the time and I still love it to this day!

Extremely pleased to see some new fans and old still loving Miracles though and it improving so much on it's initial placing, it remains my favourite ever entry and I've deliberately avoided sending them since as there's nothing from them that quite matches it (and they'd be a certain veto now anyway haha)

Yay, this was the perfect way to present results!! Thank you Lindsey and congrats Jade Looks like I didn't vote for any of the top 4 oops but 'Time' was my favorite of the contenders.

My reason for picking 'A Rush Of Blood' as my entry was to see how it'd do among those who weren't in its original contest, and it did way better than I expected with 2/3 of my points coming from countries that didn't exist in 71! So it was a worthwhile pick, thanks for that.

Oh I almost missed this but thanks for doing it Lindsey, that gave me a nice rush reading through as I didn't expect to be anywhere near the top 20! Halving Requiem's position in its original contest is a wonderful way to improve its legacy.

Poor Miracles but Time is a great winner too, well done Jade. That 9 points for me to Pacifica when I gave it dust in the original contest shows how it's grown over time, I'd rank that at the most surprising but great entry in the top 10.

what did we think of having the results presented like this? obviously i didn't have much of a choice but now that i'm reading back i actually quite liked doing it this way - would we be open to maybe having results done like this again? i'm considering maybe doing a different type of results reveal for pride as well. I'm keen to see if i can get a google forms way of voting up and maybe getting people to input any commentary about any songs they're voting for as that might be quite a nice thing to do in addition to the placing/points/voters thing especially for this sort of themed contest where theres a focus on the artist/lyrics/video etc


I DUNNO THO - i might just do it the old fashioned way, i'll need to chat with the mods x

i'm thinking if i have drop down menus for each song with an option to score it from 0 to 18 it should work but i will double check it all before i go about doing that, i wont make a mess of this one i promise x

The format works fine but it relies on people to not enter their votes incorrectly (which a few people did in 111) so it's still best to have a bit at the end that asks for a basic text version of the votes.
