I love this!!!
It's the urban, smooth and polished Madonna that I adore. Swae Lee is incredible on it too. |

it’s quite cute. don’t quite get the affectations in madonna’s voice in places. i don’t think anything she’s put out this era is that great though. it’s the kind of thing that even if it’s not a deliberate trend chaser, it’s something that could’ve and probably has been done better by someone else 😔. the main thong the album is missing for me is identity.

I'm quite worried about this album if the tracks she's released so far are what she feels are the best representation of it.

I think it’s more she feels the tracks released so far (well the two collaborations at least) are the most streaming friendly. I'm hoping all the Mirwais stuff will still yield something good. It feels like I'm still waiting for THAT song, which none of these 3 tracks are quite it. |

Press release from Interscope:
QUOTE Madonna today released “Crave” featuring Swae Lee and co-produced with Mike Dean and Billboard. The infectious pop gem, co-written by Madonna and Starrah, is the third track of five songs to be previewed before her highly-anticipated new studio album Madame X debuts globally on June 14. Following the release of the critically-acclaimed “Medellín” and the empowering “I Rise,” additional songs to be shared with fans include the Jamaican dancehall vibes of “Future” featuring Quavo on May 17, as well as the sonically innovative “Dark Ballet” on June 7. To listen to “Crave,” visit HERE. The music video for “Crave” is coming soon. Madonna announced earlier this week her Madame X Tour, a series of rare and intimate performances taking place exclusively in theaters in select cities. Demand was so overwhelming, additional shows have already been confirmed and are available for ticket request alongside the original shows through Friday, May 10 at 11:59pm ET. In New York, 12 shows are confirmed at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House on September 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, 28 and October 1. In Los Angeles, nine shows are set at The Wiltern for November 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 21, 23, 24 and 25. Shows at the Chicago Theatre are on October 15, 16, 17 and 21. The Madame X Tour will also visit Las Vegas, Boston, Philadelphia, Miami, Lisbon, London and Paris.Dates and details on those cities to come in the near future. Tickets and further information is available at madonna.livenation.com. Here is a link to a video from Madonna about the Tour: https://madonna.lnk.to/TourVid. Influenced creatively by living in Lisbon, Portugal over the past several years, Madame X is a collection of 15 new songs that celebrate Madonna’s career-long affair with Latin music and culture as well as other global influences. Singing in Portuguese, Spanish and English, Madonna collaborated on Madame X with longtime producer Mirwais, as well as with producers Mike Dean and Diplo, among others. Of “I Rise,” NME says the song, “is politics and positivity combined,” while Rolling Stone calls the song, “Uplifting” and Billboard says its, “Powerful.”NPR says, “Medellín is a carefully dosed combination of…coolly narcotic dance-pop…and energetic reggaetón,” while Entertainment Weekly declares the song is, “A breezy, summer-ready anthem…” The Guardian says, “Medellín is a potent reminder of Madonna’s deft history of meshing genres.” Madame X from Live Nation, Interscope Records and Maverick will come in a standard and deluxe version of the album and is now available for pre-order. Album pre-orders include a download of “Medellín,” “I Rise” and “Crave,” which is available across Apple, Spotify (pre-save), Amazon and all DSPs. Exclusive album pre-order bundles with limited edition merchandise are now available direct from Madonna.com. Rumours are that Madonna was filming the music video earlier in the week, which is why she wasn't at Met Gala. Swae Lee filmed his parts the day after - I'm not holding out hope that they share scenes together but I at least hope that it was filmed to look like they were at the same place at the same time. To be fair I felt like that with P!nks latest album and the album itself ended up being very strong. I’m not getting the American Life comparisons yet though. |

American life is way better than anything I’ve heard from this era so far and yet I remember that was criticised at the time for being different.

can’t see this doing anything , although I like it . He’s bit totally makes the song. She has said it is inspired by Portuguese fado music.
For people that hate her having features she has not done much to correct this on this campaign . She has said in interviews how she was going back to her roots and not worrying about others and the machine . Single one featuring Medellin Single two featuring Swae lee Future feat Quavo is being performed at Eurovision ! |

Lovely review from albumism:
QUOTE The weekly rollout of Madame X singles continues as Madonna drops her third with a sleek and sexy trap-dusted pop gem, “Crave,” featuring Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee. Produced by Billboard (“Ghosttown”) and frequent Kanye collaborator Mike Dean, and co-written by Madonna, Lee and American songwriter/rapper Starrah, “Crave” begins with a slightly processed acoustic guitar and then slowly ripples into a fluttering, sultry, mid-tempo love song that finds Madonna hungering for her far-away beau, declaring “You’re the one I crave / My cravings get dangerous.” Lee fuels her fire with sexual innuendo (“You’re down to ride, you ride me like a wave”), which only brings them closer together as the song progresses. Their beautifully-paired vocals dance around each other until Madonna lets Lee end the song with a warning: “It’s on the line, girl, you’re risking everything.” “Crave” is a satisfying, repeatable listen, and of the three singles released so far from the upcoming Madame X (due June 14th), it’s by far the most radio-friendly offering. Madonna sounds mature, vulnerable and emotionally present—vocal characteristics that were, for the most part, missing in her last three albums. In a recent Billboard interview backstage at the BBMA’s (which you really need to watch in its entirety because she’s having a great time), Madonna said she wanted to duet with Lee on her upcoming fourteenth studio album because, “I think he’s a great writer, a great singer and he’s so cute.” Yes, people, in the Madame X era, “cute” is important (Hello, Maluma!) and the playful, flirty, and sonically curious Madonna is back. The line about her vocal is what stands out to me when I listen to the song. I hope there's more moments like this on the album. |

I like! Not as big budget or eventful as 'Medellin' was but it's got nice little concept and Madonna looks smoking! Think 'Girl Gone Wild' in the way it makes the absolute best out of what it had. Swae Lee actually feels like he's part of the video even though he doesn't share scenes with Madonna, which is the least I was hoping for.
Madonna dancing to the camera reminds me of 'Nothing Really Matters'. |

A solo version (2:32 min.) of the song has been serviced to US Hot AC radio, alongside the original version with Swae Lee.
