That version is absolutely lovely, very different to the studio version but still fantastic, which is the sign of a great song. I thought that "This Life" could be the Vampire Weekend song that could become a big hit and cross over to people who don't normally like Vampire Weekend/indie music (I've definitely heard people who would never have listened to them in the past raving about it), but it hasn't happened yet, although it still could.

I haven’t found myself going back to this much, despite liking it.

really? for me it's album of the year material, streaming it a lot... at least a couple of times a week, so I'd probably given it 0.1 sales biggrin.gif

the problem right now is that indie is the genre doing worst on Spotify, indie songs are never on the main playlists so it's hard for indie songs to cross over... even if added to HH, they are always at the very end so no effect...

I think Spotify lacks an indie playlist ala HH, we were talking about this with some Spanish friends yesterday and they were telling me that in Spain there is an indie playlist called Todo Indie that is heavily playlisted and advertised by Spotify so many listen to it...

Really liking "Stranger" while "This Life" has had a lot of longevity for me. Must give the album another listen soon as I haven't since it first came out.
