Grace has now been evicted!! What a brilliant housemate she was though. That water throw at Susie along with “sorry”.

Funny how everyone seemed convinced that her and Mikey were fake yet they’re still together! The OG Reality Power Couple. Love Island contestants could never laugh.gif

Still way behind Blagger TV but I am so excited for the next few episodes as I’ve heard they’re full of drama following Grace leaving.

Saw the final last night and the last day episode. Certain parts were quite uncomfortable to watch with:

Particularly when in the last day episode where Aisleyne had a panic attack in the diary room over nerves of facing the public in the final. She got very upset.

I remember seriously loving Susie in this series. I know she got alot of flack for being 'boring' but if anything I found her so fascinating to watch. She was just cool as a cucumber. She was very loyal to her friends in the house - Aisleyne, Richard, Jayne, Pete - and had some great one liners at times. I was appalled when she was evicted to boos and got that awful interview from Davina.

Everyone stealing Shahbaz's clothes in the first week was so uncomfortable to watch and it was a real low point in reality TV for me. It was hard to really support any of them after that, even though Imogen/Pete/George at times did try to stand up for him (in pathetically weak ways).

I’m baffled at how Richard made it to the final! He wasn’t really popular in the house, was really divisive loud and confrontational, faced eviction multiple times and he still become a finalist!

I don’t know how he did it and I kinda wish he hadn’t tbh because only Lisa is more annoying but I will hold my hands up and say props to Richard for getting so far. He wasn’t a floater like finalist or someone who got there by default and he played his part in terms of being a character but i just cringe and roll my eyes at him most of the time. I can imagine him being awful to live with too.

Also speaking of Lisa as she hasn’t yet been evicted on my rewatch. She really was awful a full on ball of anger. She was probably the closest person we got to Helen Wood in the c4 era. I never realised just how bad she was!

I absolutely LOVE Richard on this rewatch but at the time I didn't. He says it how it is, doesn't hold back, is genuinely funny and an all-round great housemate. He has grown on me more than any other housemate rewatching it this year! He always has brilliant advice, and always wants to talk through issues rather than bitch and backstab. And I found myself agreeing with him 90% of the time too?

All I remember of Richard is being quite nasty to Imogen for no REAL reason and I always liked Imogen to an extent even if she was dull. I haven't watched in years though, so maybe that opinion would change?

It's two-sided between these two. They have a huge hatred for each other and neither is a victim or perpetrator in my opinion in that they both give as good as they get. Tbf, Imogen is a major bitch and was almost on Grace's level for the first few weeks and I think Richard saw through this! The way Richard calms people down though, resolves arguements, stands up for Sam when everyone else goes against her - he continually shows himself to be very emotionally intelligent and kind I think!

Richards still shading Imogen on socials to this day! 14 years later laugh.gif laugh.gif

I was on the side of Sezer and Imogen in that argument they had with Richard tbh, although Imogen herself is kinda on the sly side at times she was better at integrating with the group where as Grace didn’t do that and then Lisa was way too confrontational too, Imogen was on the “plastics” gang but she done something the others didn’t to get as far as she did, I think she’s gotten nicer as it’s went on too as soon as she heard Get Grace Out though she kinda changed so maybe she was a good game player too. I’d be interested to see what you think if you did rewatch though!

She was smart in that she didn’t overbitch in that she was bordering on offensive and she didn’t get into much direct conflict too so she wasn’t seen as confrontational. She was however STUNNING. A real natural beauty heart.gif

Yeah, I may rewatch at some point!! The last time I watched which I think was five years ago or so, I loved Aisleyne much more than I did and really wasn't a fan of Nikki's at all sad.gif.

I always liked Richard i think he had a great balance and was very good at calming situations. Imogen i never really liked as i found her very sly and often had no loyalty, with big brother i know it is a game and people have to do what they can in the house but usually once the housemates settle they form a bond and i think Imogen never done that she was there for herself and herself only.

Nikki has now been evicted!

Was this a huge shock at the time? I don’t know if it was here or Dig Spy when I posted this before but it just felt so strange that someone evicted with everyone but one housemate facing the vote in a vote to evict leaves to what was one of the most if not the most positive crowd reactions of all time.

I wonder if producers were confident she’d stay. I think that eviction being a vote to save really could’ve changed the rest of the series on its head but we’ll never know. Of course Nikki returned later on which was controversial. She should’ve never been eligible to win after being evicted though that was the mistake in my opinion but I liked the idea of having someone come back as a guest.

If I remember properly it was between her, Aisleyne and Susie for the eviction that night. ^

It was everyone up that week, Jayne broke the rules and they put everyone up but her, presumably to punish her socially more than anything as it was at the point where everyone kept being punished for Jayne always breaking the rules

If I was in charge I’d have made them all nominate as usual then make the two people she nominated immune and had everyone else up.

But yeah Nikki going then feels strange. I wonder if Jayne would’ve actually went as well had she been up or if the result still would’ve been the same. Nikki herself looked really shocked to be going though but you could tell in Davinas tone as well that she was either really shocked herself or really sad when she announced it was Nikki who was evicted that week. Usually with Davina she was pretty good at like trying to be neutral but that was one case I felt she really was genuinely gutted for the evictee.

I’m still watching this but way behind Blaggers streams oops.

Spiral though wtf!! I didn’t realise he was quite the character that he was but not so much in the best ways.

Aggressive OTT and that time he got out the shower naked etc probably would’ve warranted a removal when he approached Aisleyne like that.

He’s entertaining to watch but at the same uncomfortable viewing and a bit nasty on occasions to the females.

Watching this still! I’m now up to two days before the final
The bringing back Nikki twist felt so forced though and I didn’t really like how everyone just pandered straight to Pete. He was treated like a child and he wasn’t even amongst the younger housemates in his series as they were many younger than what he was at the time it aired. It always seemed like you couldn’t upset Pete though and whatever he wanted he got. He was a very nice person (from the HL shows I don’t know it was different on live feed) but let’s just say Glyn wasn’t punished and he had a say both him and Jennie would’ve chosen to bring back Mikey and Richard wanted Lea.

Watching this back I wished one of Glyn or Aisleyne won the whole thing now.
