Eminem's 30 biggest songs on the Official Chart
15 December 2017 | By Rob Copsey

As the rap star returns with a new album, Revival, we reveal his 30 biggest hits on the Official Chart.

After landing his breakthrough hit in his teens, Eminem has become one of the rap's biggest international sensations.

Having re-emerged this year with a scathing rap attack against Donald Trump, new collabs with Beyoncé and Pink and now releasing first album since 2013, Revival, we're taking a look at his 30 biggest hits on the UK's Official Chart.

Since making his debut on the worldwide stage with the apt-titled My Name Is, Eminem has bagged 33 Top 40 singles on the Official Chart, 27 of which have gone Top 10, including an almighty eight Number 1s.

Check out the official ranking of his 40 biggest hits at the bottom of the page, based, as always, on Official Charts Company data. First up, some highlights...

The Real Slim Shady
Eminem's first UK Number 1 arrived in the summer of 2000. The lead single from his third album The Marshall Mathers LP was co-produced by his mentor Dr. Dre and caused plenty of controversy at the time for poking fun at pop stars. The track opened with 86,000 sales to land at Number 1 (just ahead of Samantha Mumba's Gotta Tell You) and has notched up 900,000 combined sales to date, including 25.5 million streams.

Stan
Eminem's disturbing yet gripping tale of an obsessed fan became his second chart-topping single in December 2000. The song is Eminem's his biggest opening week for a single in the UK to date, racking up 199,000 sales in its first seven days on sale to land at Number 1. Its total combined sales now stand at 1.17 million.

Stan is also largely responsible for thrusting featured artist Dido into the limelight. Stan's chorus takes the opening verse from her song Thank You, which went on to become a Top 5 hit six months later.

Lose Yourself
Accompanying Eminem's first foray into major motion pictures, 8 Mile, was a killer soundtrack by the man himself. It's lead single, Lose Yourself was hit across the globe and debuted at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart in December 2002 with week 1 sales of 71,000.

As well as being the star's most successful solo single with 1.56 million combined sales (including 48m streams), Lose Yourself was also the first rap track to ever win an Oscar for Best Original Song.

The Monster/Love The Way You Lie
When Eminem and Rihanna first teamed up in 2010 on Love The Way You Lie, the pair seemed like a natural fit for a mega hit. Their lighter-waving mid-tempo ballad struck a chord with the world, but a Number 1 seemed to evade them in the UK, logging four non-consecutive weeks at Number 2.

Despite that, Love The Way You Lie is Eminem's biggest single on the Official Chart with 1.58m combined sales to date, split between 1.3m downloads and 32m streams.

The pair teamed up again on 2013's The Monster, this time nabbing the Number 1 spot for a single week. The song ranks at Eminem's fourth biggest single with 1.08m combined sales.

Further down the Top 30 chart, a handful of the rapper's lower charting tracks make a surprise appearance, while some of his Top 10 singles land just outside. 'Till I Collapse from his 2002 album The Eminem Show places at 16 thanks to a boost in sales in 2009, when it was used in an advert for the then-upcoming game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Elsewhere, his Drake/Kanye/Lil Wayne collaboration Forever is 18th on the list despite its Number 42 peak on the Official Chart, while the Number 90-peaking Shake That ft. Nate Dogg is 26th, placing higher that Top 10 hits such as My Life (with 50 Cent), Ass Like That and Guts Over Feat (with Sia).

He has so many classics, although the quality of the tracks post-GH certainly hasn't been as good on the whole. Incidentally that period has yielded two of his biggest hits with the help of Rihanna...

Eminem's biggest songs on the Official Chart (updated)

From My Name Is... to River, OfficialCharts.com reveals the rapper's biggest sellers in the UK.

Since landing his breakthrough hit in his teens, Eminem has become one of the rap's biggest international sensations.

Having re-emerged last year after a lengthy hiatus with a scathing rap attack against Donald Trump and subsequent album, Revival, Official Charts has looked into the numbers to reveal his biggest UK hits.

Since making his debut on the worldwide stage with My Name Is, Eminem has landed 36 Top 40 singles on the Official Chart, 29 of which have gone Top 10, including an almighty eight Number 1s.

Check out the official ranking of his 30 biggest hits at the bottom of the page, based, as always, on Official Charts Company data.

The track opened with 86,000 sales to land at Number 1 (just ahead of Samantha Mumba's Gotta Tell You) and has notched up 933,000 combined sales to date, including 28.6 million streams.

Stan
Eminem's disturbing yet gripping tale of an obsessed fan became his second chart-topping single in December 2000. The song gave Eminem's his biggest opening week for a single in the UK to date, racking up 199,000 sales in its first seven days on sale to land at Number 1. Its total combined sales now stand at 1.2 million.

Stan is also largely responsible for thrusting featured artist Dido into the limelight. Stan's chorus takes the opening verse of her song Thank You, which went on to become a Top 5 hit six months later.

The Monster/Love the Way You Lie
When Eminem and Rihanna first teamed up in 2010 on Love the Way You Lie, the pair seemed like a natural fit for a mega-hit. Their lighter-waving mid-tempo ballad struck a chord with the world, but a Number 1 seemed to evade them in the UK, logging four non-consecutive weeks at Number 2.

While Love the Way You Lie is Eminem's biggest selling single on the Official Chart with 1.26 million downloads to date, the song ranks as Slim Shady's second biggest hit overall, lagging behind his Number 1 track when it comes to streaming.

The pair teamed up again on 2013's The Monster, this time nabbing the Number 1 spot for a single week. The song ranks at Eminem's fourth biggest single with 1.1m combined sales.

Lose Yourself
Accompanying Eminem's first foray into major motion pictures, 8 Mile, was a killer soundtrack by the man himself. Its lead single, Lose Yourself was hit across the globe and debuted at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart in December 2002 with week 1 sales of 71,000.

As well as being the star's most successful solo single with 1.62 million combined sales (including 54m streams), Lose Yourself was also the first rap track to ever win an Oscar for Best Original Song. In January 2018, it also overtook Love the Way You Lie to become Marshall's biggest ever UK hit.

Further down the Top 30 chart, a handful of the rapper's lower charting tracks make a surprise appearance, while some of his Top 10 singles land just outside. 'Till I Collapse from his 2002 album The Eminem Show places at 15 thanks to a boost in sales in 2009, when it was used in an advert for the then-upcoming game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Elsewhere, his Drake/Kanye/Lil Wayne collaboration Forever is 17th on the list despite its Number 42 peak on the Official Chart, while the Number 90-peaking Shake That ft. Nate Dogg is 26th, placing higher than Top 10 hits such as My Life (with 50 Cent), Ass Like That and Guts Over Fear (with Sia).

His latest single River closes the chart at Number 30.

It's weird that a song that isn't his highest pure seller is pushed to #1 by additional streams... and it's a song that predated the existence of Spotify laugh.gif x (GOOD though because 'Love The Way You Lie' being his biggest hit would be tragic, while 'Lose Yourself' is probably his best song heart.gif)

'Rap God' being that far up his most streamed songs ohmy.gif

It looks like the OCC are using the release date of 14/11/04 as the release date for 'Lose Yourself'. That date (14/11/04) is the first date that all digital releases of singles / tracks in the BPI database are dated from, regardless of when the single was originally released, assuming the track was available to download on that date. The BPI database does list 14/11/04 as its date of release. However all other singles released by Eminem prior to that date in the BPI database show the correct date when they were released as singles. I can only assume that the release year in the main ISRC (digital barcode) number that links all sales of the track has 04 in its code as the year of release.

Lose Yourself seems to be ever-present in the Spotify top 200, think it's down to a combination of being a classic song and being featured prominently in Spotify playlists. It seemed to have a resurgence in recent years due to the mom's spaghetti memes too.

Was it given a physical release at the time? I can't find one so if it was download only it wouldn't have been eligible to chart under the then current chart rules.

On the Download Singles chart it peaked at number 28. Its chart run on that chart was:

5 Apr 2006 28 Shake That

Eminem's biggest songs on the Official Chart
17 January 2020 | By Rob Copsey

From My Name Is... to River, we reveal the rapper's biggest songs in the UK.

Since landing his breakthrough hit in his teens, Eminem has become one of the rap's biggest international sensations.

Since making his debut on the worldwide stage with My Name Is, Eminem has landed 42 Top 40 singles on the Official Chart, 32 of which have gone Top 10, including an almighty nine Number 1s. View Eminem's complete Official UK Chart history so far.

Check out the official ranking of his 40 biggest songs at the bottom of the page, based, on sales and streams compiled by the Official Charts Company data. First up, here are the numbers behind some of his most notable hits...

The Real Slim Shady
Eminem's first UK Number 1 arrived in the summer of 2000. The lead single from his third album The Marshall Mathers LP was co-produced by his mentor Dr. Dre and caused plenty of controversy at the time for poking fun at pop stars. The track opened with 86,000 sales to land at Number 1 (just ahead of Samantha Mumba's Gotta Tell You) and has notched up 1.24 million combined sales to date, including 66.2 million streams.

Stan
Eminem's disturbing yet gripping tale of an obsessed fan became his second chart-topping single in December 2000. The song gave Eminem's his biggest opening week for a single in the UK to date, racking up 199,000 sales in its first seven days on sale to land at Number 1. Its total combined sales now stand at 1.47 million, including 55.8 million streams.

Stan is also largely responsible for thrusting featured artist Dido into the limelight. Stan's chorus takes the opening verse from her song Thank You, which went on to become a Top 5 hit six months later.

The Monster/Love The Way You Lie
When Eminem and Rihanna first teamed up in 2010 on Love The Way You Lie, the pair seemed like a natural fit for a mega hit. Their lighter-waving mid-tempo ballad struck a chord with the world, but a Number 1 evaded them in the UK, logging four non-consecutive weeks at Number 2.

While Love The Way You Lie is Eminem's biggest selling single on the Official Chart with 1.28 million downloads to date, the song ranks as Slim Shady's second biggest hit overall.

The pair teamed up again on 2013's The Monster, this time nabbing the Number 1 spot for a single week. The song ranks at Eminem's fifth biggest single with 1.31m chart sales.

As well as being the star's most successful song with 2.12 million combined sales (including 106 million streams), Lose Yourself was also the first rap track to ever win an Oscar for Best Original Song.

Further down the Top 40 chart, Eminem's most recent Number 1 hit, River, ranks seventh on 1.14 million, while a handful of the rapper's lower charting tracks make a surprise appearance, performing better over time than some of his Top 10 hits. 'Till I Collapse from his 2002 album The Eminem Show places at 12 thanks to a boost in sales in 2009, when it was used in an advert for the then-upcoming game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Elsewhere, his Drake/Kanye/Lil Wayne collaboration Forever is 18th on the list despite its Number 42 peak on the Official Chart, while the Number 90-peaking Shake That ft. Nate Dogg is 23rd, placing higher that Top 10 hits such Cleanin' Out My Closet, Beyonce collaboration Walk On Water and Crack A Bottle ft. Dr Dre and 50 ent.
