Just stumbled upon this on Netflix. Not overly impressed with the trailer but it looks potentially quite nice. This post has been edited by *CENSORED*: Feb 16 2020, 07:41 PM |

The premise for this sounds great (there is another trailer floating around which focuses more on Joel Kinnamon rather than James Purefoy). I will be checking it out for sure as long as the reviews are not absolutely terrible.

Anyone watching this? It seems to be getting quite the push, I've seen it advertised loads recently.

Intrigued by this. Think I will be watching, hopefully it's good and not just style over substance.

Anyone seen this yet? How is it? It's getting decent reviews so I might check it out but based on what I've read it doesn't seem exactly like I was thinking

I've watched the first 3 eps and I'm not really feeling it, it's kind of dragging a bit and nothings really grabbing me

Watched episode 1 last night. Visually gorgeous, but I found the plot hard to keep up with.. I kept thinking I had missed bits and pieces. I have heard it's a bit of a slow burner but comes really good towards the end, so I will stick with it.

Just finished it and it does get going from episode 5. The last few episodes are all very gripping.
I would agree about missing bits and pieces but everything gets much clearer towards the end. I loved exploration of the whole idea of having your mind transferred to different bodies and basically never dying. There is a couple of things that don't really make a lot of sense in that universe though. If your stack is broken and you don't back it up you are "real death'd". What would stop killers from damaging the stacks? I believe according to the premise only the rich can afford to back them up unless i missed something. So immortality in that situation is not as easy to achieve as killers would just go for the stacks each time~ Great twist with the sister. I didn't quite see it coming! LOVING the clusterf*** of being transferred to completely different bodies - race, gender, age-wise, etc. I hoped they would keep Eva in that body haha. Oh and Ortega's grandma being in that tattooed man's body was hilarious. I was impressed by his Spanish, I don't believe the actor has any Latin heritage though. His Russian was awful, however~ |

I really enjoyed this in the end, some really predictable moments but also a few great twists along the way. I really enjoyed the Elliot family dynamic.
One thing that really bugged me though.. all the accents? I would have thought that far in the future all the accents would have been completely neutralized? The woman who plays Ortega is a terrible actress, infact pretty much all the female leads were weak. I hope Lizzie has a bigger role in a future series. |

I watched it in pretty much one go. A tad more chaotic than the first season and overall I’m not sure it was actually even that needed.
