We already knew Romania had submitted their paperwork, but it was down to the EBU whether to accept it. Thankfully TVR are on the right track and the EBU are happy to welcome them back to the Eurovision party!

Mihai is BACK with an aptly named entry
Too bad he didn't bring a chorus along with him.
2008 called they want their faux-power anthems to stay in the DNQ zone where they belong.
Stig Rasta has written one of the songs in the longlist (new G:Son much) and it sounds like its got legs for the NF
It definitely sounds like Daniel Levi or whoever the Estonian guy of the now is could reasonably be singing this in Eesti Laul.
So the official longlist is out there but we'll only bother posting that on here once they've narrowed it down to the last 15. The two of note that I want to bring up are Lora who's the most well known of the bunch and there's a live version of the song she submitted which she performed at some (pretty big we'd assume) Awards show so this is probably the early favourite.
Also, remember that 'Tear Up The Dark' song that got turfed out of the UK selection but the demo appeared online? Well, one of Ovidiu's backing singers from last year ended up nabbing it for herself. Certainly interesting to compare it to what DID make the UK shortlist now isn't it?
Another one of note that was submitted. Camp as tents, but it may do very very well in a sea of ballads.
It's getting LOADS of hype, have just listened to it myself. It's not quite novelty and it's not quite mega Romanian party banger, I feel like it needs to go one way or the other. That said, the last minute of the song is fantastic and actually becomes a bit euphoric and the whole thing surely lends itself to big staging. Cezar seemed to straddle novelty and serious to its detriment initially, but the staging in Malmo moved it over to novelty to its benefit. I think this could do the same!
Either way, it's miles better than Moment of Silence so woop for that!
Adam and Rob will like this I imagine...
Totally on board with Yodel It! now, that last minute is just FIRE!

Yodel It has made the final 15, so has MIHAI and the other big favourites Instinct and Maxim - the latter is predicted to win with the 100% televote in the final. Most surprisingly eliminations include the Stig Rasta song and the Ovidiu Anton song!

Omg Yodel It must win, tune
'Yodel It!' is amazing. It's VERY 2010, but what a nice little bop it is! Ilinca has a great, lovely and powerful voice.
Interview to Mihai Traistariu on esctrevistas.blogspot.com.es
Yodel It! has won the semi-final after gaining 60 points from a possible 60 from the juries, there was no televote. However televoting only decides the final and the "Romanian One Direction" did sneak through in 9th so are still a big threat unfortunately.
Xandra and MIHAI were 2nd and 3rd in the semi-final.
I wasn't BLOWN away by 'Yodel It!' the first time I heard it in studio form, however the live version has a certain charm to it. I mean it's sort of destined to become a Romanian entry I feel.
Yodel it to win or cancel romania
Definitely has to be Yodel It!
TAVI & EMMA MUST WIN! It's like Cascada duetting with the drunk uncle at a wedding to a cheap Eurobeat *.*
Early televoting lead for Yodel It! but we have 50 minutes of voting remaining yet!
There seems to be a big screen broadcasting the final at the local University square, they went to a reporter there at the start of the show. It's not quite Gina at the Tele4 is it?
Yodel It wins, with MIHAI second and Instinct third!
Yeah, there couldn't be any other winner really, the one with the best shot at Eurovision, it'll certainly stand out!
This will challenge for the win I reckon. Juries and televote will both go for it
Over 10,000 votes for Ilinca and Alex, MIHAI got 5,200 in second. For comparisons sake, Ovidiu won last year with 6,500 so a fantastic number of votes!
YASSSSS!
I can only imagine the British public's reaction to this I think it'll do alright! Probably between 11th-15th.
I imagine this will go along the lines of Donatan & Cleo (Poland 2014), bottom 3 with juries but top 5 in the televote leading to a finish around 10th place.
It's a pity they managed to pay off that debt...
I usually like Romanian entries, but this Yodel It! is just plain awful, Paula Seling please come back.
The author of Yodel It! revealed that he first gave this song to Timebelle for the Swiss national final (he wrote 'Singing About Love' for them in 2015) but they rejected it once Apollo came along. So then he picked Ilinca to front the song in Romania instead.
As if this actually won I don't love it as much as I'm sure I *should* do but it's ridiculous and I'm down for that completely, so I'm glad it'll be at Eurovision for sure.

This is one of my absolute essential tracks of Eurovision 2017 now *.*
This is such a guilty pleasure
This is iconic.
