looks like he's the singer from HIM, the Finnish band from the 2000s, they were pretty popular



HIM mastermind Ville Valo has returned with what appears to be a solo project simply called VV.

Valo has just released a three-song EP called "Gothica Fennica Vol. 1". The effort, which bears a strong musical resemblance to HIM, features the following tracks: "Salute The Sanguine", "Run Away From The Sun" and "Saturnine Saturnalia".

Oh I quite liked some of HIM's output so maybe I'll check it out.

Does anyone know if many releases have been pulled today due to the covid-19 situation or was the release schedule always looking this dead for this week?

I think this being a slow release week is probably just a coincidence, not aware of anything planned for this week being pushed back (I don't think there was ever any reliable source for the new Dua song being out today, it was just speculation). Are single releases really likely to be affected that much? I can see a lot of albums being delayed but ~

True but it could just mean more artists will release more pre-album singles? Idk, I just can't see music releases drying up that much when it's a practically digital-only format other than album releases (and even then only for artists who have well established fanbases to buy physical versions).
