I did search for another thread for this, so apologies if I missed it.

I saw this last night and it was very intense and fast paced with a lot of business/computer jargon. But I did enjoy it for the most part. Fassbender might give himself a run for his money with Macbeth regarding that best Actor nomination. Kate Winslet was also very good, I've heard some concerns with her accent but it sounded like a good Polish-American impersonation to me. I can see her getting a Globes nod but maybe not an Oscar nom, I'd love to see her get nominated again though as she's kind of done a string of bad films since her Oscar.

I agree with Joe that it was filled with a lot of jargon which did make it a slightly confusing experience, all of the main performances were very good though, Fassbender especially of course but Winslet too, thought she did very good and would like for her to get an Golden Globes nomination if it is in question as Joe mentioned above. I love the three act set up too it as well, definitely an interesting idea to have a whole feature length film based on three events in one building.

My interest did wane a bit halfway through maybe because of the jargon but it was pretty solid and really got going from the moment it started. Don't know how 'real' it all was because it really didn't portray him in the best light (I guess there was some redemption at the end with Lisa etc.), Winslet was my highlight.

The setup was interesting but not as innovative as say Birdman or Boyhood imo.

Agreed with the general consensus here tbh. Definitely one which was more about the performances rather than the actual film itself. I think all the computer jargon and not really understanding what much/any of it meant is what lost me a little and made things feel like they were dragging in places, but it was a solid effort overall.

But Michael Fassbender is one of the most watchable and likable actors we have right now!

I'm not sure what to expect for this one thinking.gif laugh.gif it could either be very good like the trailer made it out to be or a dissapointment.

I enjoyed it but didn't think it was anything great. Also it didn't help that we were incredibly close to the screen as nearly all the seats were gone when we booked! However Fassbender and Winslet were great heart.gif
