The naming scheme of Sims 4 game/stuff/expansion packs this era has been so annoying uncoordinated

The Sims 2 for PC was my childhood! I did have Sims 2 on Nintendo DS as well but didn't quite rack up anywhere near as many hours of playtime as I did on the PC. My best friend introduced it to me and I was hooked pretty much from the offset. My pocket money was always spent on expansion and stuff packs (I think I had almost all of them) and lots of my free time was spent creating families, learning all the cheats to mess with their lives and also creating a lot of my own custom content, I wish I still had all of that saved. I haven't played it for a good few years now since I transitioned from Desktop computer to laptop! I'll have to have a nostalgic trip down memory lane and play it again when I'm done with Uni in a few months tbh.
I received Sims 3 for my... 11th birthday, I'd like to say. I never quite got into it as much as the Sims 2 and just stuck with that! |

Just got back into The Sims 3 now that I have an external CD drive; the whole game is fairly OP though, I've literally been playing for 5 in game days and I've been promoted three times already.

Wish I could play the sims 4 I had a new MacBook last month but I still don't think it would handle the sims games. I've re-downloaded the sims 2 though, and all of my characters from my old laptop are no more, so its fun starting it up again.

Took a gamble over Christmas and downloaded the sims 4 because it was on sale (£11 for the deluxe version)... it plays better than the sims 2 on my laptop! Since downloaded the get to work pack and love it. Going to try get one pack a month as they're not on sale any more, not sure whether to get the famous or pets one next though. Always love the seasons pack as well!

If anyone is interested, the Sims 4 base game is free right now, until May 28th. I picked it up because why not, even if I'm not a fan of the series. Tried roleplaying a bit with it, and I guess the base game would be fun for a little bit just like my base game experience with the Sims 3 was.

I've been watching on YouTube some girl from BuzzFeed I think doing the 100 baby challenge. It's so funny, I'm so far behind though. She just killed the hot doctor through woo-hoo.

I got the free Sims 4 game when I saw it here, but haven't touched it after the first game 2 and 3 are so much better!

3 is my Sims game of choice. It’s got all the depth of Sims 2, the full customisation with the colour wheel, plus an immersive open world where you can literally go anywhere you like and other Sims are just living their lives. If Sims 4 had those qualities I would be fully onboard but it just lacked too much for me to stay interested. Plus the lack of Toddlers, swimming pools etc on launch that put me off initially and even though they’re added now it just felt unfinished.
Sims 2 is fantastic also but the graphics are too jarring for me I think, playing 1 is nice because it’s very old and feels old but has a retro feel to it. Another 5-10 years and I’ll feel the same about 2 |

Another 5-10 years and I’ll feel the same about 2 I echo this completely, Sims 2 was the best for custom content because it was easier to "hack" I guess. But Sims 3 is by far the best (as long as you have a good computer...) as the open world brings the whole thing to life I'd put Sims 4 fully at the bottom, the worlds are just so small and it seems like a ghost town most the time. Sims 5 will be interesting though, not sure where they can go from here though. |

The problem with sims 2 is rhe fact that the neighbourhood doesn't peogress at the same rime and the townies never age! Also, it is a cpu intensive game and the files just bloat and bloat. Sims 3 is better programmed, but it is more boring and missing the heart and warmth of sims 2.
